This may come as a shock. But money was actually invented by man. |
For Esan natives . The man in the video uses his powerfully unique and enduringly peculiar brand of music known as ( Afan), to tell the story of a tough Prominent man by the name Otono. The storyteller's language is quite ancient lacking anglicised inflections as observed in modern day Esan, and therefore not Much easy to grasp. win a recharge card of a thousand five hundred if u can help resolve. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVjxa2vfksA |
All the calculations so far seem to assume, unconsciously albeit, that kerosine is free, or perhaps still, that kerosine is a self provident constant as far as cooking in Nigeria is concerned. |

"Government of the people for the people and by the people. Or better still "Majority wins the vote. The proponents and drivers of this school of thought, One of such being the Late great Abraham Lincoln, must have been very great believers in the age long saying, "The voice of the people must and should be the voice of God,...of righteousness, not minding the fact that God at least, in the Bible seemed to have an uncanny rapport with the phrases " chosen few and "narrow way. Democracy places the deciding factor of leadership and government institutionalization merely on the substance of numbers, yes, just Numbers. It has nothing to do with how good, how bad how capable, but rather " how many. When All or almost all says yea and Nay, we others must all join too, and say the same. This might have proven close to effective for some few places in the world, but the likelihood of this succeeding in dear Nigeria is bleak, and hopelessly faint. Solely for the reason that Nigeria holds with great misfortune a record, of the world's largest aggregation, of very ambitious idiots for leaders. Making the contraption a small cut away world, were idiots run themselves to the helplessly sore and gory spectacle of the wise, who can do nothing but wait, watch and speculate, but can change nothing. The idiots are favoured with numbers obviously, and hence would rather die than vote anyone not of the them. The idiocy in itself is not restricted to age tribe or colour this was why able bodied youths across various regions in Nigeria with fully matured brains could lay down so many of their lives in the just concluded elections, because two senile old men were in a contest on who to rule over them. The Intellects are fleeing, chimmanda, Soyinka, Nigerian physicians and many others are moving in numbers. A lot more are on the ready, I think democracy is wrong, (for Nigeria)... to put properly. Something else should be tried. |
Menace. |
it's in Nigeria you hear such things. And the saddest part of it, is that, the statement was coined by the youths in the country. Her supposed leaders of tomorrow. They abhor anything that will task them mentally. And when those that endure the pain of tasking their faculties succeed. Nigerians will again, turn around to become their grandest patrons. It was how to their shame they've attained their present status. The status of the irredeemably dependent consumer. So severe that they've even turned Importers of their own resources. Do you know that Nigeria spend billions of Naira on fuel import. When they're in fact naturally blessed with the resource to locally carry out production. No wonder our most influential celebrities so far have been entertainers, or should I say there's hardly any sector or industry in Nigeria that doesn't have links with entertainment. Is it the education sector, where ASUU strike has turned an annual concert. Or poitics, where you hear of the singing/dancing senators. or perhaps the legislative contest where grown men, selected and chosen to represent the masses's interest, beat themselves up shamelessly, in the face of gaping media coverage for trivial reasons. Or is it the religious sector name it. A contraption engulfed by a circle of genetically demented band of notorious jokers. Yes that's what Nigeria has become or is becoming. The citizens sing, clap, dance but can never think. And funny enough the only remedy which obviously is education., that should be inculcated through the school system is what they still dare term as scam. When European and Asian Economic powers that have scaled and are still scaling giant heights light years beyond ours , are acting like they've not started. Good old Nigeria still stuck in the 12th century already thinks her only salvation is a scam. Pitiable. |
No news on kaduna yet. |
It once happened in Uniben not too long ago. Congrats to her. |
[quote author=Dvd4 post=76415185]Good question. How does that link and your post correspond? You seek traffic hn the wrong I'm assuming you're an adult. Now, how hard was it to tell me, the link didn't correspond. instead you believe it's more appropriate to covey your thoughts by first calling me a devil. OK the link corresponds, just having network issues. it is why I told those with questions. To ask them. And please learn how not to jump into conclusions, I don't own any website nor blog, so I don't seek traffic, if you're not interested, simply go on with, your life. Can't remember forcing you. careful, lest you be counted for a big and thoughtless fool. |
Dvd4:Why? |
A major problem faced particularly by students is financial dependence. Most of us cannot do anything that require the use of money, without first informing our parents. As regards finances we remain constantly and perpetually at their mercy. This should infact not be the case. I decided to do research online and off, to discover easy and legitimate ways to at least generate little cash to support the one that comes from folks at home. And one that would not be a distraction to school work due to tediousness in nature. It was how I stumbled on this site, http://www.Giftalworld.com. i must confess it has proved helpful so far. You could make at least 5000 Naira, on a weekly basis which of course Is quite a reasonable amount for a student. I must add that it is not a get rich quick scheme, and it does not promise to make you a millionaire over night. but It at least promises ease, in your general finance as a student. For those who want to register by themselves, the site is up there. And for those who would like to ask more questions drop your email, or whatsapp number, so I can help as guide. And also elaborate more. Peace. |
[quote author=HigherEd post=76371952]Freeze is an agent of the devil sent to attack the most vital feature of a believer which is Faith. Freeze wants you to be logical with your faith. He wants to move you into the realm where God cannot function which is the realm of logic and reason. Fortunately, Logic doesn't cut with God. If you must be a believer in Jesus then you must first understand that logic and reason are anti faith. You must be able to wear the garment of faith while putting off the garment of intellect. Wow I'm learning Please is intellect the making of Satan. How did it come about. thanks in advance. |
lookingfly:the video is in about seven places. You only watched the first. |
I hear the laments and wails that are now abound..that president buhari rigged the 2019 general elections. From no other group but the PDPs. This is funny because it is a case of the thief being overpowered by his stronger mate. The PDPs are not innocent. They too, tried their rigging prowess, which in turn proved unsuccessful or rather inferior . Both parties employed the use of thugs, both tried to buy votes, both spearheaded the stealing of ballot boxes. Infact if it were in their Power, the PDP would have upturned figures too. I wonder however, why the opposition particularly the PDP do not feel uncomfortable when they accuse the other of murdering democracy, when they, themselves. Are guilty of the same. Those I pity most are the masses, they are blind and do not know, they continue to tag obediently behind their very enemies to what they think is bliss, but is it? . Is Nigeria that acient and primitive that out of the Numerous parties In the country, they had to pick from just two. I mean the two worse choices of all there is. Are Nigerians that dumb that they have refused to learn after almost 20years of retrogressive government. They don't recycle as critics say popularly. They just switch and exchange ApC for PDP and on and on. Well, when a person continues to do a thing over and again, even with no sign of positive change, such a person is termed insane. Maybe majority of Nigerians were borne with that genetic insanity that even the bitter lesson of experience cannot change. But I continue to hope, as it is man's eternal optimism. I continue to live and bask in the illusive euphoria of imminent change. Maybe someday that illusion will take on the garment of reality of true lasting realness. |
henriettttta:congrats colleague, on your admission. your thread was the one I commented on yesterday. You will do just basic science courses in your first year. And proceed to do medical science courses precisely Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Biochemistry in the preceding years. Eventually, you will end up majoring only in just human anatomy courses by the time you get to final year. |
shadeyinka:It is not difficult for me to understand brother. Like I said before, ...that is, if at all you read my replies, Respect driven by fear is not genuine. we are basically making the same point. |
JujuSugar:Yes it is infact, the very tragedy , of contemporary African Christianity, an uncanny brand of faith conceived and driven by the wrong reasons. |
shadeyinka:(Excluding childhood) The respect I have for my parents came as a result of my good relationship with them, not because of the fear of their Punsishment if I do not, respect borne out of fear is not genuine, because it would not have been there, if fear was not incited. And I can't remember saying anywhere in this thread, that a Christian is a person trying to avoid punishment of hell. My argument instead, antagonizes this very line of thought. stop the dictional gymnastics. Christianity is a religion. A religion according to the inventors of the English language, simply means a way of life. So people who choose to adopt the lifestyle of Christ as theirs, are called Christians, no more no less. If religion is what man does to please the divine, then attempting to have a relationship with the creator is still trying to please the divine, except you just want to play with words. |
OpenYourEyes1:Suit yourself bro, whatever works for you. |
frosbel2:That is not quite true. Not all religions, give promise of an afterlife, yet people still practice them. |
OpenYourEyes1:Well, I don't think any faith driven by fear is still qualified to be called faith because what is layed bare in the face of such mindset is the presence of doubt. Such belief system, plays culprit to why the Christian religion, especially the one practiced in Nigeria continue to give rise to new sects and denominations almost everyday. Because their propounders are after what to gain and what not to loose.they have devised and invented enticing doctrines that will first and foremost enrich them here on earth, which without their intention, exposes their glaring uncertainty of the afterlife which they so much preach about. And amongst mortals the greatest representation of earthly gain is money. The result in the end becomes the monetization of the gospel. |
OpenYourEyes1:So are you saying that your reason for belonging in the faith, was due to fear of a consequent experience of hell if you didn't? |
It is the opinion of some non believers, that the concept of karma was merely an invention, instigated to promote morality amongst humans. This belief in karma, they also argue, to be flawed. Because, to them the ideology uses the doctrine of an afterlife, to create an infinite number of chances for good deeds and evil deeds committed, to receive recompense. Hence defeating the stronghold of certainty, which serves as its very conceptual bedrock. And the theist being very aware of these uncertainties, improvise the pursuit of a great reward that might be, or an avoidance of a great damnation that might not be, as an escape route. Hence the birthing of the Pascal Wager's syndrome. The question that now lies before us all is How many will still choose to live moral, if the doctrine of heaven and hell were never part of your Faith's teaching, are you merely serving God because you were told that it pays, and would have done otherwise if it didn't. If no why? |

I can't forget that I'm bereft Of all the pleasant sights they see, Which the Piper also Promised me, For he led us, he said, to a joyous land, Joining the town and just at hand, Where waters gushed and fruit trees grew, And flowers put forth a fairer hue, And everything was strange and new. (curled from the novel :half of a yellow sun) It portrays my thoughts, about Nigeria at the moment. Helps me in the broadest possible sense to express my view on recent happenings in it. Though Betided by Greedy and decepetive leaders, an ailing economy, falling morality , and a bleak future, the masses remain blind, they do not...I mean cannot see through the facade of tricks worn by their task masters before them, and do not seem like they ever would . They continue to follow cheerfully, tagging obediently behind their very enemies without knowing. When will they ever begin making choices differently, when will they realize that they have been played and used, when will they learn? They continue to repeat and exchange the same band of people since their independence, they have caged themselves.they are their own problem, have always been. |
One of the few things I hate most in life is pride. I loathe it, because of its very deceptive nature. When it gets into the mind of its victim, it builds for him in there a false throne, where he is king, and anyone else before him become subjects at the mercy of his lordship, it makes people feel and think themselves bigger, smarter, prettier than they are,. Look around you and you'll see that the proudest people around are usually amongst the ugliest, the poorest, the dumbest and ect cetera. They all fail to realize the vanities in these things they deify in themselves, they remain oblivious to the fact that in the end we're all the same... |
In much wisdom is much grief and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow...the words of the biblical Solomon. I consider the words to some extent, true and potent. For most of us at least, as children we felt like little birds, the tingling sensation of one who could fly, we felt ecstatic when our tender hands wore the wet cloak of sticky mud, and went gay, when our callow bodies danced in the rain. Believing that our world would remain so, like the stories, read to us at school, where things always ended happily ever after. A familiar world, a world that was our friend. Now the days of blissful ignorance have lingered past, leaving before us the vague and unsure reality of an unknown world, a world that knew no one. the truth has dawned on us, and grief had grown alongside. which makes me me wonder if everything summed into the rude reality of the gifted curse, the curse of intellect. Could it be the reason, why the most stupid people are usually the happiest, and the more brooding ones, sad and solemn. Could it be why Africa, despite the mad ignorance and raving folly within her shores, still maintains a reputation of uncanny vibrancy and drunken enthusiasm even without cause. Could it be true that ignorance was a blessing disguised. No..Never!, it cannot be, must not be. But even if it were so, I choose to reject the blessing of ignorance, I choose to flow enduringly with the uneasy tide of fleeting knowledge. For it is better to be destroyed by what one knows, rather than what one doesn't.... |
This is not a diary..."a diary" in the conventional sense of the word. Instead it stands to serve more acutely as one little refuge of thought chains, echoing through the bared confines of an embattled mind. A mind, groping in urgent fervency, struggling in honest attempts to go past reality's overwhelming maze of questions, in a determined search for The light, for answers that will prove true in the end. For Indeed, into the pool of questions were we conceived and birthed, and as questions too, were we ourselves borne. It is no surprise therefore that we all share that same innate longing for answers that unifying curiosity that binds us, assures us infact of our equal humanity. Surely all the questions I might not ask, and of those asked, not all might get their needed answers, but we must keep asking, for a thousand mile's journey as they say begins first with a step.and from a step we can break into a run and then maybe a jump and on and on. It is with thinking, brooding and continuous contemplation that will begin that gradual ascension to the perfect world of elightement which to me should be the truest meaning of mortal fulfillment....more to come. |
cococandy:The prostitute came before the patron, the seller always arrive the market before his/her buyer. If the seller doesn't display the goods, then trade cannot occur. Even if ur assertion were the case. , fact is, it's still not right, still not healthy. And still not needed. Peace. |
