I understand you very well. These are those who died biologically. Besides, there are also a few people who never died that visited hell supernaturally. An example was Mary Baxter. She was taken to hell by our Lord Jesus for 40 days every night. She visited hell with her two eyes opened. And the experience she had is in her book.

Forgive my little interruption.
But please, do you believe her because she said so
Because you accompanied her there?
Or because it was written in her book.

Its amazing all sort of investments people advertise and put money into. Most of these businesses, you win some you lose some. Personally it has been like that for me too. Especially after starting off with some online ideas late last year. But now we are getting it right. If I may ask, how much did you make online since the beginning of the year to the end of June? Did you make a fortune or lose?
If you are interested, I can introduce to you some of the investments we have used to break through. If interested, drop your WhatsApp contact and you will be connected

Simple question and you had to display your

Calm down, settle down and decide what it is, you actually believe , lest tomorrow you're creating threads on the greatness of Allah and at another Vishnu.

Religion / Re: "Miracles" In The Scriptures Don't Verify The Scriptures by peacesamuel94(m): 5:09pm On Aug 03, 2019
Michellekabod2:
Many religious people claim that there are miracles, scientific or prophetic, in the scriptures and those miracles prove that their scriptures are true. They say that, despite their understanding that the same books have serious logical and scientific errors. Actually, there is no miracle in any of the religious scriptures. No sign of anything but stupidity and barbarity. Yet, let’s assume here today that there are miracles in the “holy” scriptures and try to understand if they are enough to become a believer.

The first question comes to our mind is what a miracle is. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a miracle is “something extraordinary or surprising.” That means we are assuming that there is something extraordinary or surprising in the scriptures; say, one of the Bible’s prophecies has come true in today’s time or the Quran precisely mentioned that the earth spins around the sun. Now, according to the theists we have to put our complete trust in the scriptures and follow whatever the scriptures say no matter how incongruous that sounds because we have found miracles in the scriptures! But no! Just because there are miracles or matters that are extraordinary to us, for now maybe, in the scriptures, that does not mean that those are from an omnipotent and omniscient god. There are three very good explanations for this:

1.Those miracles could just be the works of humans

We are very much aware of the fact that 2000 or 3000 years ago people were not uneducated and crude like the cavemen. People have been wondering about the universe and nature for thousands of years. For example, around the 3rd century BCE, Euclid wrote the epic book on geometry The Elements, Aristarchus of Samos created the first heliocentric model, Hippocrates discovered that there are scientific reasons for ailment, Democritus realized that the Milky Way galaxy has got millions of stars, Aristotle realized that the earth must be a globe; around the 2nd century BCE, Seleucus of Seleuci realized that the tide is caused by the moon; around the 1st century, Zhang Heng pointed out that the moon does not emit its own light but the reflected light of the sun, Indian physicist and astronomer Aryabhatta pointed out that the earth spins around the sun, calculated the exact distance between the earth and the moon and the value of pi. So, why would we think that the miracles in the scriptures have to be from a god? They could easily be from the writers of the scriptures who probably were smarter than the others they were surrounded by. They probably tried their best by researching and seeking knowledge to put something smart on the scriptures to make them look divine, or they probably hired other scientists to do that and later silenced them and destroyed their other works. There is a very good possibility of that because smart people used to exist in that period.

2. Those miracles could just be the works of the intelligent extraterrestrials

There are about 1024 (1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) planets in the observable universe! Therefore, the chance of another planet with a far more advanced civilization than ours is extremely high. So it would be safer to believe that the miracles in the scriptures could be the works of extraterrestrials than of a god. Although we have never been in contact with intelligent extraterrestrials, we could still guess the extraordinary phenomena on our planet are their works because their existence in the universe is almost certain according to the theory of probability. But, why would the aliens want to create religions and put some miracles in the scriptures? Because may be they want to halt our progression so that we never discover them and compete with them and they found that religions play a very good role in stopping humans from being smart. So possibly by putting miracles in the religions they have just fooled our gullible minds. Or maybe we all are just a part of their simulation projects. I am not kidding here. I am just talking about a possibility that makes more sense than the possibility of a god.

3. It is safer to believe in those previous theories than believing in the god theory

So, why would I believe in a god just because there are few surprising matters in the scriptures while there are two other better explanations for them? In fact, the first one is far more likely than the latter one. However, believing that those miracles are from a god and a true religion is harmful because, as mentioned above, religions enslave our brain and halt our progression. It persecutes thinking and rational people. Something inherently harmful should not be the part of any speculation about any natural and philosophical phenomena. Also, if god was omniscient and omnipotent, so capable of performing any miracle, then we would not have suffering and violence among us. Therefore, he is not omniscient and omnipotent and we cannot expect any miracle from that god. Moreover, we have no evidence of the existence of a god but we have the evidence of the ancient humans’ endeavor and the existence of trillions of planets.

man

you are obviously not in tune with happenings in Nigeria

if you are you will not be talking this way.

My comparison is between a regular lady out there, educated and all, or may be have a skill, trying to climb up the social ladder, and a slay queen.

that is the contect of my point.

these slay queens you see on the media make much more money than these regular girls (most of them) in Nigeria can dream of.....

I know how a formerr oga of mine lavished on "hoes" in Abuja and the ones he had in Lagos

you don't want to know how much your elite class are squandering on these girls you see

if you do, you will not even argue with me

and these slay mamas have multiple customers

You dont know wetin sup
you really don't

why do you think more and more of these ladies are popping out, competing amongst themselves as to who took the most raunchy photos?

that's because they want a slice of that pie too

That is not my point, I know prostitution sells and all that. At least with my recent response(if you read it)
You would see that my disagreement with the initial poster was on the statement about yansh making in 1hour what talent and brains cannot make in 5years.
That is wrong on all fronts with no reasonable basis to hold unto it.

the 1st 100 rich folks are mostly men

and business men

in the context of the argument

I hate to say it

But that guy is right
the guy you quoted

Slay mamas especially in Nigeria make serious money that most so called "hard working ladies" can only dream of...

one might argue that it is not fair

But that is the way of the world

Bros I don't want to sound insultive but please reread your post.
In what context exactly?, Someone makes a generalized statement like" the kind of money yansh can give you in an hour, skill and talent won't give in 5years. You look at that with a straight face and say its correct.

The argument is not about whether the top 100 richest people in the world are mostly men or not, what is being considered is how they got there skill, talent or yansh. Be it male female or bisexual.

If slaymamas generate in an hour what Talented and skilled people like business men, sports men make in about 5years then these sex selling bunch should at least be Nigeria's richest personalities, dragging titles with dangote and likes who use skills and talent abi?.

Thoughts should at least be processed before being shared come on.

Your next point of action is go through profiles and drunk with ignorance you blindly declare people you dont and may never know small boys as if it changes anything.
How it relates to what has been said one wonders.
Well keep up the good work, keep on celebrating the mighty yansh, that stands above skill and brains, someday you too will get there.

And yet of the first hundred richest people in the world there's none that is there, due to the capacity of this yansh.

It is better to be quiet and be thought stupid rather than speak and remove all doubts.

Then there's no reason to get so depressed over the result as you are now, There's hope. Forget the waec, even if the grade for maths gets rectified, English would still pose a problem.

I remember I once commented on a thread made by you about a year or more ago. With the caption Tired of life. You will not find this habit really useful, breaking down, mourning and getting depressed when things dont go your way, because you're not different, it isn't rosy for everyone else out there. Life is an uneasy tide, learn to flow with it. Sometimes it is good bad high low, and more, accept this, lest you are confronted with problems even greater than this and then you give up.

I did not get a credit for English language in my waec. My neco, was my safe landing. And of the many others I envied their "excellent" grades then, some still have not gotten into school. While I'm almost done.

Such is life, time's the difference, four five years from now you would give advice to someone about something like this, and say "just like yesterday.

Perhaps, you might want to show me a post of mine that mentioned contribution before yours?[/quote

OK then, I have indeed seen that I used it first . what it means in very simple terms is ...what they did or said, that made you consider them as more intelligent than adichie with literature in general being the background of this doing and saying.

You might want to read this list of the top 10 most intelligent people in the world:

https://www.wonderslist.com/10-most-intelligent-people/

While there is at least a writer on the list, the list is dominated by scientists or people inclined to science.

And mind you, I never implied that scientists are intelligent simply because of vague concepts (whatever your point was). I am not like
TSRC who thinks Adichie is intelligent simply from reading one of her 3 novels.

Scientists solve problems, which is one attribute of a very intelligent person.

For instance, the scientist Henri Becquerel discovered Radioactivity. Radioactive iodine, for instance, is used to treat thyroid cancer.

Alexander Fleming discovered the antibiotics penicillin.

Electricity can be generated from uranium. Uranium was discovered by a scientist.

Recognition...a list, is your bases for judging who is more important(which I don't think there is) sincerely I expected more, so you judge the prettiest people in your area or state by the list of a few supermodels that come out for the challenge? As at when Gaddafi was alive the Forbes magazine rated Bill Gates over him in wealth in fact did not include him at all, but we know who was wealthier not to talk of Putin, and others.
Or if there was an actual singing contest for the 180million people in Nigeria, do you think our top musicians would make the winning list.
When you were in school the best students in class were not necessarily the most intelligent just the most hardworking. If this is true for the above how much more then..for the over 7billion diverse people on planet earth

No doubt the people you mentioned were really intelligent and opened up new possibilites for our world by their invention and discoveries, but then that is all there is. It doesn't therefore mean that Einstein because he made important contributions to Quantum mechanics and modern physics that he somehow is superior to Shakespeare, Beethoven, and the likes, because you would not know if Einstein would go that far in the arts and Shakespeare in the sciences.
Judge people by what they are and not by what they are not.

You people need to get out more, or just read more.

For Christ's sake, even intellectual and intelligent are still not the same thing.

Adichie is not even one of the most intelligent female writers from Africa, let alone in the world to ever contribute to literature. She is not even remotely one of the most intelligent women generally.

She is just an overhyped writer with 3 novels, 1 collection of short stories, and a small non-fiction book.

Did you if even see how the term intellectual,
was used in the sentence,--that it was qualifying something. did you even notice anyone saying it was the same word or another synonym for "intelligent'. if you cannot get that, then getting out more and reading more Is actually Yours to try.

Perhaps I should assume the posture of the curious student then. Pls name the women in literature that are more intelligent and have made far greater contribution to literature than adichie. And what is this your basis for rating intelligence

But Science and Technology is more important and no one have to tell you that if you have brain unless you want to continue arguing blindly

Granted, let's assume you were right, that a field of knowledge could actually be considered as being more "important" than the other. Instead of what I would have thought was a shared, equal significance they held to humanity.
Let's assume that science and Technology in contrast to the arts were the only fields that actually solved problems, and were the only fields that held tangible benefits to us humans.
As absurd as I might have thought this sounded before now let's assume, it were the truth, it would still not make the scientist more intelligent, than the Artist. A person who is intelligent remains intelligent whether he solves problem or not.

We call and identify people as intelligent because of an organ...the brain, how it expresses complex thoughts and ideas, through the medium of speech, writing, Engineering, painting and more. What ever medium of interest it chooses, and excels in, is totally its concern, and one can never be considered more important than the other. The scientist is just as intelligent and as important as the artist, Shakespeare is just as important to literature as Einstein was to Physics, no more no less, trying to compare people, to bind the bridges between giants in varying fields of knowledge is absurd, because you would not know how Einstein would have fared if he had interest in literature and Shakespeare if he had interest in physis.

Intelligence of course is never the same thing as creativity, and any right thinking person should know that it takes the former to get to the latter.
How can you say someone is creative but not very intelligent. And what is even your definition of intelligence? What makes you think that scientists hold any kind of intellectual superiority over artists, "because their works seem spooky and difficult to grasp, hence they should and must be regarded as more intelligent, is too haughtily ignorant a line of argument I must say.
Adichie would certainly go down as one of the most intelligent figures ever to contribute to.literature in Africa and the world at large, trying to argue against that reality would By consequence, unintendedly make one sound stupid and sincerely so.
