FamilyRe: Things Every Female In Her 20’s Should Know (MUST READ) by Pedagogue: 3:04pm On May 06, 2013
It's always about LADIES and WOMEN!!!

Society expects women to live like angels in the midst of many ravaging wolves (men).

_Not at all saying all men are bad (afterall am 1)

I just think it is improper to expect perfect ladies/women and justify d imperfection of men by asynchronous excuses !

@ Op, gud one tho

D number of hypocrites in Nigeria is proportional to the poverty and underdevelopment that the country is grappling with!!!

Never will u hear any technological breakthrough ...all we read and hear daily are religious strifes and esoteric things!!!!

D number of Arabic and Xtian inscriptions that have been purportedly discovered is more than what all Other countries have seen or heard of!!!

....when other countries are talking of advancement in technology, we always delude ourselves by worshipping buncombe signs and symbols which when properly scrutinised mite turn out to be untrue and gaumless!

Mind u, I believe in God....I just detest d population of Nigerians that live and thrive on religiosity- Godliness
Poems For ReviewRe: Charmed! by Pedagogue: 3:13pm On May 03, 2013
Her name is sugar
Named not because of an addition to garri Ijebu
Named not because of what a tea likes
But named because she is life's very own sweetener

Hey,her description is incomplete !
You can also call her a maniac!!
But this life's precious jewel is not that mad woman on your street
She's a sugar mania- a cacoethes lover!!!

Tis sugarmania has withal been charmed
Charmed by one of life's Princes
But the charmer prince
Is only but my forerunner!

PoliticsRe: Strip Oshiomhole Of CON honour, PDP Tells Jonathan by Pedagogue: 8:35pm On May 02, 2013
And who will strip President GEJ off his GCON!

Or what is the essence of being called the Grand commander of the federal armed forces when he cannot even 'command ' a micro sect called boko haram!!!

Albeit D President of d country is automatically d GCON, GEJ has manually stripped himself off that honour by his incompetence!
PoliticsRe: $470M Abuja CCTV-Cameras & Solar-Panel Packup After 6 Months (Pictures) by Pedagogue: 11:01am On Apr 30, 2013
Let's look @ things from 2 angles!

What is d OP's point ? That d camera's are not worth 470m dollars or that only few camera's were purchased with that amount ?

If d OP's point is any of d 2, am afraid I cannot make any reasonable conclusion on the basis of few camera shots...

Nevertheless , we all know that Our bane is corruption..we live in a country where contractors install inferior materials because of their gains!!! Well, our able President is not concerned...afterall , he said corruption did not just start ...so,must it end in his regime? What a country!

clemmonce: after an accident which the governor might be the person who caused it... you detain the man and the governor is been treated ........ in Africa just try as much as possible to be a governor or senator i swear you are a semi god.... rubbish

And after leaving office, they return back to their HUMAN form! But sadly, they don't remember dt! Power is transient...ask former governors !

As it is in d telecommunication sector (mtn and Dstv), so it is in our 'local market' sector.

CrimeRe: Debunking The Myth Of Money Ritual: Is It Real? by Pedagogue: 10:51am On Apr 25, 2013
Many things have been said....

Lemme mak my reply very brief!!!

OP, remember 1 of the temptations of Jesus Christ...d devil promised Him all d riches of this world!!!

In the vein that the blessings of The Lord maketh rich and addeth no sorrow to it so DOES d devil maketh rich BUT there's an exception...d devil addeth sorrow to his blessings!!!

Thus, Anyone that is interested in getting blessings from d devil will have to go through his representatives on earth (herbalists etc).

The major reason why d OP thinks its a myth is because of d high number of fake herbalists ....But my dear, ritual money is real. I Have VERY GOOD reasons to believe it exists. If you don't believe in SPIRITUAL matters, you can never believe

Christianity EtcRe: UK Priest Allows Muslims To Pray In His Church, Hit By Abuse On Facebook by Pedagogue: 10:36am On Apr 25, 2013
D end is near!!!

D so called Priest has been attacked by a 'familiar spirit ' - That spirit has turned the biblical injunction of 'love your neighbour as yourself ' UPSIDE DOWN!

This man has forgotten that the Bible says In 2 Corinthians 6:14 that "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers"

Yes, a Christian is expected to love Moslems, agnostics, atheists and what have you...But the HOUSE of God is sacred and MUST not be desecrated !!!
*by allowing prayers to be offered in d name of Muhammad (s.a.w),he has desecrated d church!!!

Who will deliver this Priest?

EducationRe: Babcock University Increases School Fees, Now Up To N3million by Pedagogue: 10:15pm On Apr 22, 2013
Acidosis: Stop shouting.. Can you stand a graduate from American University of Nigeria - ABTI ?

Its not all about your oau, ui repititive certificates on the streets..

Do you think its easy to pay N3million tuition fee per year? Any parent that can afford that would surely get the ward a damn good job without stress after graduation.

A graduate from American Uni of Nigeria for instance would not struggle with most graduates from oau, ui, uniben, osu, ekpoma, eksu, akungba etc for a N100,000 job with one micro finance bank, lastma or road safety job.
cheesy
Thats the trick man, N3milla nor be small money for 7years.
Where are d grads from these your ABTI ! I guess they work in d sky.....

Pls, I'm not your man....you said im shouting!! it's a pity NL is an anonymous forum! All what you call ' repetitive certificates on d street' is what has gotten me and my colleagues d job u and your likes can only dream of!!!

I don't throw tirades - your comment is acutely indecorous - learn how to address people u don't know
EducationRe: Babcock University Increases School Fees, Now Up To N3million by Pedagogue: 10:09pm On Apr 22, 2013
Acidosis: Firstly, you guys need to stop posting senseless links about ranking done by ghosts without basis, evidence, ranking factors, et cetera.

You can rank a university base on:

Infrastructures
Academic strength
Website grin
Convocation gown grin etc

Even those Nigerian students who never received a single lecture from a Prof for 4 years are here carrying rank for head like placards.

Who did the ranking? Where are they? When did they visit these schools?

This is exactly how some foreign bodies abroad sit back in their country while they post some random rankings for us to digest..

As regards the issue of high cost of private university education... its a matter of choice cool

I can list 10 secondary schools in Lagos who charge above 8million naira per year cool And I can also list 10 Lagos secondary schools with school fees less than N1000 per session.

It doesn't mean those paying N10million will make all subjects 'A's in waec cool and it still doesn't guarantee direct admission into higher institutions same way a private university doesn't guarantee anyone a job after school..

A Corona School student in Lagos and a student from Ojuelegba Comprehensive High school would both sit for the same waec... Same way graduates from Babcock and OSU meet in same camp and same interview cool

Its a matter of choice cool Its about your size, its about your pocket, its about your taste.
Not every parent want to expose their wards to cultism and 'hard' life. Imagine moving from your parents home where you live alone in a fully air conditioned ensuite plaster of paris furnished master bedroom to a sardine-like small delapitated hall conveying 15 students to school clinic on a weekly basis.. just because you want to bend to the too many ignoramic views on nairaland.. cool

Btw, I'll suggest American University of Nigeria, Yola - ABTI to any aspiring rich candidate.
I don't know much about Babcock.

Cheers.. cheesy
U are so wrong!!

D way many attach cultism to all other uni's apart from private uni's is simply incomprehensible !!!

I wonder if these people know that in Unilorin, U.I , IFE and some other uni's , students graduate without knowing anything about cultism...Infact, in these uni's (ESP ife and ILORIN ) students move around at any time without any fear of harrassment !!! I wonder why many think cultism thrives in all govt owned uni's ... Infact, private uni's like Igbinedion and Madonna probably have d same cult simulacrum that notorious uni's like LASU and OSU have!!!

As per what you said about 'hard life' , that is simply laughable !!! U have unwittingly exposed your ignorance....stdents from Well to do homes don't have to live in any "small sardine hall conveying 15 students " ..Rather, many of them rent well furnished en-suites!!! They are also free to decide when to go to church, mosque, library etc unlike the automative life supposed university students are forced to live in 'your' private uni's !!!

Your comment is the most "ignoramic " here
EducationRe: Babcock University Increases School Fees, Now Up To N3million by Pedagogue: 9:44pm On Apr 22, 2013
tensazangetsu: Guy OAU is not better than babcock stop lying nigerians and lies jeez all nigerian universities are crap.

D above quoted is really sordid!!! So your babcock (plus other private uni's ) are not "nigerian universities "?

Frankly speaking, d apparent comments from grads of private uni's here have confirmed d generally held opinion about d quality of education they received!!!

How on earth can anyone in his right senses say Babcock is better than OAU!!! Not even the VC of your Uni and any private uni in Nig can say that balderdash!!!

There's absolutely no basis 4 comparison btw top federal uni's and Dese Shylock private uni's...- for instance, despite d fact that accounting students in OAU pay 5,300 per session(as against 1.5m their colleagues pay in Babcock) IFE students carted 6 out of d 11 prizes in this year's ICAN examination...Babcock got none!!! This info is just for d ignorant few that think Uni's like OAU only have 'past glory' . Can anyone tell me d 'present glory' of private uni's.

In another vein, no Private uni in Nig has ever produced a first class grad from the Nigerian Law School....So, what are we talking about fellas!!! [/[color=#006600]color]

*Albeit top federal skulls in Nig (OAU inclusive) have their challenges, they are still way better than these mushroom theology universities!!! D simple truth is, d reason why many parents push their wards to private uni's is 'cos of d difficulty in gaining admission to federal uni's.....or why will anyone in his right senses pay 1.5m for a certificate that will be dumped in the dust bin if a good certificate from a 5,300 naira per session uni like IFE is brandished!!!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Any Hope For Graduates With 2nd Class Lower? by Pedagogue: 9:22am On Apr 19, 2013
@ Op, it depends on where the certificate was obtained!!!

If obtained from a private uni in Nig, d holder stands very lil chance- Employers / Recruiters know dt in virtually all private uni's in Nig, PASS or 3RD CLASS is a rarity. Thus, a 2.2 is more or less like a PASS.

D above prejudice hovers around grads from state uni's too.

But 2.2 grads from top federal uni's in Nig are slightly better off - many Employers (out of sheer respect 4 the competition nay difficulty in obtaining good grades from federal uni's) place 2.2 grads from these uni's higher than their private and state counterparts. To them, a 2.2 grad from a good fed Uni is the same or even better off than a first or second class upper grad from a state or private uni.

*D above is based on REAL experience.

My advice- if u are still a student, Work HARDER (I can say of a truth that my first class cert has opened heretofore 'difficult' doors).

If you are a 2.2 or 3rd class grad, believe in yourself and obtain more certificates...nothing do you!

EducationRe: Experience by Pedagogue: 7:10pm On Apr 02, 2013
This is no NEWS!!!

Why is the OP surprised ? If indeed you are a grad of the uni (not that I doubt ), this should not really surprise you!!

If cases of assaults/ill treatment and human rights infringements in private universities are to be tabled, hundreds of textbooks will be produced!!!

Sincerely speaking, education and religion can never mix... Check out the world's top 100 universities, no 'religious university' makes the list.

Take it or leave it, top federal uni's in nigeria are still better than these secondary schools masquerading as uni's
.

@ d Op- if u have time/money/patience, u can institute an action against them! But since your friend is still a student, that can ruin his chances of graduating!!! Your best bet is to demand an apology from them...make sure the letter is written by a lawyer
PoliticsRe: Awolowo Vs Alamieyeiseiha by Pedagogue: 6:46am On Mar 29, 2013
macjive01: Hold on mate,
why shouldnt i ?
They both have very similar peculiar nature

firstly,

Their names both start with A
They are both Ex-convicts
They both stole money.
They both were Jailed.
They both were pardoned

They both were praised by their people, despite their obvious crimes.
Their Pardon caused lots of controversy, nationally and Internationally.

... and ....

They reason alike,
It' is more than clear that u are not well schooled!!!

U said the late sage stole money and' reason like' Alams!!! Pls use your google and look up facts (google is your best bet 'cos I know u will find it pretty difficult to pick up history books and read) .
After doing that, kindly post a feedback here and I will gladly explain what 'trump up ' charges mean!

4 d sake of u and your ilk, lemme drop this info- the similarities btw Alams and Ojukwu is very striking

Alams was in the Nigerian Air Force, Ojukwu was in the army ( foundational relationship)

Alams was the Gov of a State, Ojukwu was the military governor of the Eastern region (causal relationship)

Alams stole from the very people he was entrusted to protect, Ojukwu's selfishness and deceit led to the millions of death of the very people he ought to have protected (personality relationship)

Alams shamefully left the UK after his fraud was discovered , Ojukwu also ran shamefully to Ivory Coast when he knew the game was up ( tactical relationship )

Alams is being rumoured to be interested in gunning for a senatorial position in 2015, Ojukwu contested for a senatorial seat in Nigeria he really loathed..-he lost the election (political relationsh)

Alams promotes the 'Ijaw agenda' to his advantage, Ojukwu utilised the deceitful tactics of 'Igbo agenda'and that made his people to like him ('clandestine 'relationship)

Alams (according to reports ) is a big time womaniser, Ojukwu chased everything in skirts - he unashamedly banged and later married his best friend's daughter (without the knowledge and prior blessing of the latter...their friendship broke down irritrievably ) . 2. Ojukwu has a son from 1 unknown Hausa woman (from the tribe he mobilised his people to hate) . (Immoral lifestyle rltshp )

Alams was pardoned, so was Ojukwu ! (Direct relationship)

I can go on and on! Ojukwu is obviously Alam's model- no doubt about that

PoliticsRe: Awolowo Vs Alamieyeiseiha by Pedagogue: 9:09am On Mar 28, 2013
Mac jive or what is that your trashy name...I just erased d respect I had 4 u.

This thread has revealed your imbecilic mind...So, you are this ignorant?

Your comments give you away as one Okoro in rural Eastern Nigeria that was not opportuned to see the walls of a primary school!!!

For your info, my best friends are Igbos...but they ain't in your league- they are very educated and exposed.

You said Awo was able to entrench free education because of the monies he amassed from Igbos vide the civil war...what gibberish!!! Pls google 'cocoa production and western nigeria '

- well, People like u only deserve 1 thing - to be ignored.

My advice- If you ever have this satanic urge to write anything on NL, never you write Alams name in the same page with Awo. if u do not know anything about the late sage, just shut up.

@dayokanu, omo oodua rere...oodua a Gbe wa o (Amin)
