This,2 me is a clash of interest between the state exco of ACN and the national leadership!!! Obviously, Dr. Sekibo will not be interested in Amaechi joining the ACN...since the Governor will automatically become the leader of the party and consequently present his own candidate for d 2015 governorship election! But the national leadership is very much interested in having Amaechi in ACN/APC...it will further bolster their 2015 presidential campaign!!!! But irrespective of whatever, Amaechi and Rivers State is a big fish...PDP will make a huge mistake if they do not bring him back to their fold!!!! |
@Reality 101, I hardly comment on NL ...but I must note, your balderdash posts forced me to submit this post!!! Your comments give u away as a self righteous wassock who derives infernal pleasure from freshening people's sores! Why comment when you have no advice to give to d Op? As if this is not enough, you've been hurling unnecessary insults at d Op! You need to start respecting women son!!! @ d Op,I think d very first question that your post did not answer is, are you married to this Edo/Igbo guy? if yes, you have awesome powers over him...that is if you are ready to use them!!! That aside, I will not in anyway blame u 4 what has happened, 'cos the past cannot be changed!!! But Op, do u know that your mentality about polygamy mite have indirectly encouraged your bf/husband to throw caution to d dogs! U can only change this if u tell him to either CHOOSE you or his naija wife/GF . Tell him that you are not ready to play second fiddle ...!!! Believe me, he'll probably choose you and be meeting with the other woman in secret ...Since you are not really against polygamy, a subtle knowledge of his 'cheating' cannot really affect u!!! One golden advantage that this tactics will have is - He'll make u feel as if you are the only woman in his life...he'll not also have the effrontery to brandish the existence of the other woman 2 your face!!! If he however refuses to choose u over her, pls kick out his ass and tell him it's over ...Believe me dear. U'll get find another man in no distant time!!! *If this 'experience' has in anyway tainted your impression about Nigerians, pls erase it...! Not all Nigerians are bad, not all Nigerians are good!!! Cheers |
But just like it was reported in the case of 'Dangote drivers and PhD applicants' , I sincerely believe that PhD holders applied because they hope they can be given a bigger role, in view of their qualification and the humility behind their interest!!! I insist that it is not POSSIBLE in present day Nigeria for a PhD holder to accept #25k remuneration!!! 1 major problem that d Nigerian Press has is undue exaggeration!!! They have wrongly equated Any job application to mean 'applying for the job ' whereas many apply for jobs they think is below their level with the hope that the recruiters can put them in a role that fits their status - that is Naija tactics!!! And it has worked for many!!! Nevertheless, many MSC holders In modern day Naija will grab a 25k job (that is meant for secondary school leavers) with both hands!!! That, most often than not, depends on where the certificate was obtained ...No USA,UK or Canadian University masters' holder can take up such a ridiculous offer! My point is, many naija university graduates do not have self worth!!! If d last option is to take up a 25k job that is not even meant for univ graduates,is it not better to be the CEO of a 'chin chin' manufacturing company instead? |
Believe me, unemployment is bigger than d boko haram menace! Whereas the latter has been making the loudest noise, when d former starts speaking. Nigeria will be gone!!! But rather than reduce unemployment, GEJ and co are busy relying on phantom figures to delude themselves! And the governors? It's either you hear 'Governor's forum' palaver or 'Governor donates 5,000 Okada to unemployed youths..." Who will tell these buffoons that the clock is ticking? |
Hahaha,we are with Jang.To hell with Amaechi
Who are the "we" ? A few hapless ethnocentric and unintelligent youths that do not know their right from left? I have never been on the side of d selfish ruling class because of their wanton greed!!! But on this issue, I'm on d side of Amaechi - that's the path any decent person ought to be!!! Or why will any right thinking person be on d side of sore losers who find it difficult to adhere to basic democratic principles!!! |
D reasons Akpabio and his 'PDP Governor's forum' have given shows how unintelligent they are!!! They said Amaechi ought to have stepped down as the Chairman of the forum b4 the election was held - Why did they agree to go on with the election since they knew this!!! Since they conceded to that arrangement and proceeded to vote, it is now too late to cry!!! Apart from this, Akpabio nay GEJ were just clueless as to how best to defeat Amaechi..they had lined up the Governors of Katsina and Bauchi b4 finally settling for Gov. Jang at the last minute!!!Political dis arrangement of the highest order!!! GEJ and AKPABIO's tactics is obvious- if Amaechi wins, Governors loyal to GEJ should back out of the forum and declare another person as winner. With that, d Governors forum will die a natural death!!! But whatever may be the case, the fact still remains that GEJ's camp must be sweating over Amaechi's victory. If GEJ could not prevail on PDP governors to vote in his candidate, how can he clinch the party's ticket in 2015? * I was really stunned to see the Gov of Ondo state being tossed around like an houseboy by Gov. Akpabio in d interview he granted! Mimiko is fast turning to GEJ's south west puppet!!! |
Thumbs up to GEJ. This result once again shows that GEJ is the most democratic president we've had since Lord Lugard. God bless GEJ!
Boy, u are so funny!!! Amaechi floored the combination of GEJ and Akpabio and you are there saying he's the most democratic president!!! If GEJ had his way,he would have killed Amaechi b4 d election! What did GEJ not do to displace Amaechi? He stopped his plane from flying, changed the PDP leadership in Rivers state, used ex militants and policemen against him amongst other things ! But did that deter Amechi ? Hell no!!! if Amaechi is to be likened to a boxer , I will call him MOHAMMED ALLI !!! *GEJ,AKPABIO etc have been taught a lesson in politics ! 2015, where art thou? |
10,000 mega watts ? GEJ is running a federal republic of comedy!!! Well, they can drop any figure they like afterall Nigerians will keep mum (as usual) when they miss the target again! |
The headline is very misleading! It should be 'FG RELEASES N200bn FOR SECOND QUARTER PROJECTS...and more than half will go into private pockets |
strangest: GEJ is working... More, more... 2015 uploadingU are shouting " more " cos d President of Nigeria wants to rebuild a school? My broda, u are not the 'strangest' . I'm sure there are millions of Nigerians like you that will simply vote in GEJ in 2015 because he rebuilt a school, patched pot holes, gave out Okada to thousands of youths as part of the Sure P programme, and auspicated the sale of Cassava bread!!! Nigeria!!! ![]() |
One big fact about the UK is: No one will add 'Nigerian' to your status if you are representing the country in any capacity! But if you dare commit a crime, your status will change from 'British' to 'British Nigerian' or 'Nigerian descent'- even if you've never been to Nigeria! Nevertheless, We should ask ourselves why other countries in Africa have not 'produced' Abdulmuttalab and Dese 2 'Michael's'!!! And pls, don't tell me it's a fallout of the big size of the country!!! If its abt size then China or India ought to have produced millions of terrorists! 2 narrow things down,Many naija parents (home and abroad) now spend more time hustling than bringing up their kids. This is what you get when u don't have properly brought up children!!! If you don't Instill the right values in your children at their formative years,d devil will ! |
This thread is really ridiculous!!! @ Op, my first question - is SA an industrialised country? Pls do conduct a search on the list of industrialised nations in the world and see if SA is anywhere near!!! If what the Op is talking about is -having more SA companies in Nigeria, that is not bad...!Afterall, that is the whole essence of d African Union (AU). But for him to use the word,'HELP' ,it's either the Op is drunk or trying to taunt Nigerians!!! Nevertheless, I'm not in anyway sayin that d situation in d country is good at the moment...but the truth is,d last thing Nigeria needs is HELP from a fellow developing country that also needs help!!! Take it or leave it, Nigeria is a sleeping giant ...d country can only ARISE if we solve our self inflicted problems internally!!! * I take exception to d Op's description of SA as one developed country that should help a developing country...SA and Nigeria are both developing countries! If anything, they can only render HELP reciprocally |
Most def, d league trophy is more prestigious than Europa! Nevertheless, Chelsea winning d Europa cup is particularly significant - cos they are the first team in Europe to win d UCL and Europa back to back! So, in a way, they had a fantastic season! As to who had a better season, I think a conclusion should be based on expectations before the start of d season! Did Man U crave 2 win the league? Most certainly! Did Chelsea believe they 'll be in Europa League or even win it? Most certainly not! Thus, on that score, I think Man U had a better season...but that's not to say Chelsea flopped! |
I laugh when iI read 'news' like this! If they are not death traps, what are they! Death holes? |
Obama and GEJ can meet at the White House, or in another country to discuss bilateral issues.[/quote You simply don't understand what is meant by BILATERAL RESPECT! Do you? Obama has been in the saddle for more than 4 years...he has visited some African countries...yet he has not visited her biggest ally!!! The news is to the effect that the US President will visit 3 African countries, yet Nigeria is nowhere mentioned !!! And you are there talking about 'they can always meet anywhere....'' Why can't they meet in Nigeria? 2 save you from unnecessary headache, they can't meet in Nigeria because under Jonathan, rather than progress,Nigeria has been retrogressing...it's either boko haram today or fuel subsidy tomorrow !!! Obama has zero tolerance for such nonsense! To be convinced, check out the names of the country (Ghana)he has visited and will visit (Tanzania , Senegal,South Africa) ...they are all progressing countries! |
D deep resentment of Obama gainst CORRUPTION and cluelessness that JOnathan's government represents is the only reason why the US under Obama has been dealing with Nigeria @ arm's lenghth!!! That is obvious from the words, "and investing in the next generation of African leaders". GEJ represents the 'old' generation of African leaders- corrupt, clueless, dull and unproductive ! |
..Very different from those other rascals!A politician who is nationalistic and in a class of his own!Truely an elder state man, with more of politicians like him in his region, the south-west will definately out grow the monster of tribal jingoism and petty politics that has blinded them from progress!
If what is going on in d south south or south east is what u call progress, my brother , lets continue to retrogress!!! Btw,How come you find it difficult to leave our retrogressive states? @Topic, Mimiko is very much entitled to his views and what he had said is in line with the reasoning of most Yoruba's...we all want boko haram to be crushed...Infact, many reject ACN's stance on the state of emergency!!! That's the unique thing about Yoruba's ,we agree and disagree! But if u mistake the general support for GEJ on state of emergency 4 'support for his presidency' , YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN! GEJ hates Yoruba's, Yoruba's hate him more! QED |
As if boko haram peeps are on nairaland!!! Let's be sincere guys, there's a reason why boko haram is boko haram! And one of the reasons is that I cannot post what I think!!! |
Jonathan caused the death of civilians and the surge of boko haram .He would have arrested buhari during the first election for his violent and inciteful remarks.Since he got away with it , it only put strength in the minds of the trouble makers
Buhari's "violent and inciteful remark" energised boko haram? U are 1 of the many that sheepishly believe d propaganda of PDP!!! I'll be glad if u can mention/name any associate(political or otherwise of Buhari that has been arrested for having connections to boko haram! None, my dear, none!!! All d suspects that have so far been arrested/questioned either belong to PDP or ANPP!!! I hate propaganda!!! Let's discuss facts! I aint holding brief for the rtd. General, I just believe d Buhari boko haram typology is unwarranted ! |
Under GEJ, impunity is not only thriving, absurdity is the order of the day!!! Has anyone checked Section 305 of the 1999 constitution ? The constitutional expectation for a state of emergency declaration is that all political office holders will seize to exist!!! But GEj's coward brand of state of emergency is that the affected states will still have functioning Governors, commissioners and aides!!! What is the sense in that? Until a full scale state of emergency is declared in those states and politicians no longer CHOP,d boko haram menace will continue! |
Good news... Although its still in d pipeline,it's gladdening to read something positive...rather than 'boko haram kills 75 ' or ' GEJ to provide #60 billion worth of mobile phones to farmers'!!! Believe me, if Nigeria is being run like Lagos State, d country wil be much more better |
taharqa: That you are still asking the question @ d emboldened very succinctly show the extent of a pathetic IGNORAMUS you are...and the Great thing is that you deserve all the pecks of been left swimming in such Ignorance. EnjoyWill reply u ONLY if you are ready to join issues! I cannot trade words with u. For now, cheers! |
1MCN: I was awestruck when I saw your comment sir/ma'. Do you mean that no matter what good a man does, insofar as you dont like his face all that good amounts to naught? This is incredulous! If the man you like is there, whether he achieves even less, that's just ok for you. Am not campaigning for him, am not suggesting you switch your political support to whoever,am not even the president's gangfellow and might not be. But am only bothered how the so-called leaders of tomorrow have been marooned in their face by hate. Am an expert in this particular field (Agriculture) and I know a thing or two about its revolution. And Adesina is a global hero in this trade! Let's cure this self inflicted cancer called hate. Stop this Pull Him Down syndrome. God bless Nigeria and NigeriansTypical Nigerian!!! Sir/Ma immediately concluded I am a politician or playing politics because of my submission! Listen friend, I do not hate Pres. Jonathan neither do I hate the Minister of Agriculture...I only HATE what they represent- trickery and prestidigitation ! And pls, Let's leave out apologist sentiments like ''Adesina is a global hero'' ..is he Nigeria's hero? Is he not the sponsor of the bogus #60 billion phones for farmers!!! Until we ( collectively ) start telling these politicians that we are not fools, we will continue to fall for their dummies! What reasonable difference has Jonathan and Adesina made in the agricultural sector for 2 years that they will effect the year their tenure will expire? |
He won again? That is really serious....!!! CAN is only CAN by name then! |
if he likes, he should invest zillions!!! Only fools will fall for election theatrics!!! But really, many Nigerians are fools |
This is rather lame. It is evident that the Op does not wan2 marry her...so,why are u wasting the poor girl's time! Many think the girl is desperate ..how is that so? The Op has probably been feeding the gal with lies 2 mak her believe the world starts and ends at her doorstep ! Since the gal is a virgin (and probably inexperienced in relationship matters) , she thinks d Op is her much awaited husband!!! And why are ppl so quick to label d girl a confusionist ? I think , in actual fact, d gal mite have heard from God...and to earlier posters that said d Op must hear from God too? I beg to disagree also ! God does not relate anyhow with ppl...Do we know the Op's relationship with God? If the Op has not been 'hearing' from God b4 now, how can he hear from Him now? Methinks its high time d Op stopped deceiving the gal...if u don't like her enough to marry her, kindly let her go!!! Believe me, d gal mite be your God ordained wife...but since u dnt love her enough, God in His infinite mercies can give her a replacement ! 1 thing u should however not do is to marry her because you think she's your God ordained wife...ONLY MARRY ON D BASIS OF LOVE! What some people label as 'God's voice ' might be a powerful familiar spirit at work! Cheers |

exxell: I WILL ALWAYS VOTELIKE this post if u think this poster needs a job!!! ![]() @ Op,it is my firm wish that Ngige will win - to at least bolster the strength of APC in d East. With 2 governors, APC will give PDP a good chase in d East |
She's right on just 1 thing - That Nigeria would have been ''DIFFERENT" under Yar'adua Perhaps we would never have had it so bad because under Jonathan, Nigeria has never had it so bad!!! But in all honesty, We would not have been remarkably better under Yar'adua (or is it under Turai? ) Because really,we did not know Turai had been ruling the country all along until Yar'adua was hospitalised!!! |
I doubt if he'll still stay in APC if he's not 'given' d APC presidential or vice presidential ticket!!! In my view, CPC and ACN are d most important parties in d merger and so d success of d party heavily rests on d duo However,If Okorocha can stay put after the primaries, it will be a plus ( not that APC can win in the East, they will however be able to muster the constitutional requirement of 1 third in each of all d states in d south east |
