You don't have to speak in public. At least people would asume that you have a functional brain. What happen to bullion van? Did you see the content of the bullion van? Was your money missing and tracked to the bullion van? Awol1: |
What sense is there in this statement of yours? Don't enter new year with this frame of mind. You must be a criminal to be entitled to a full detention. Are you are criminal along with the rest of you? slimfit1: |
No, only thieves claiming to be Christian and you can join them if you miss their company. Edu3Again: |
Being named in a scandal by a Senate committee is not the same as being convicted. You are attaching a document that show someone making a complaint against her lawyer. Why not show where he was convicted of a crime. Stop acting as an educated illiterate. I am sure shame wont let you accept how senseless you have become. Reporting someone before an association he belongs to is not the same as taking the person to court. There is a difference between taking Femi Falana before Nigeria Bar Association and taking him to high court. I hope I am older than you because I feel like slapping you right now. MasterKernel: |
Why not go read A Field Guide to Lie by Daniel Levitin. It is not good for your brain to fill it up with false information. Imagine if they teach you wrong formulas in both primary and secondary school? Make it a duty to always store facts in your brain. Imagine you talking in public and people are calling you a liar because you didn't fact check what you were saying? Very soon you loose confidence in public speaking. Both Gbaja and Atiku were never convicted of any crime in any USA court, though both were rumoured to be either criminals or corrupt. MasterKernel: |
So this document you attached is the Supreme Court ruling on the case? Social media, truly, should be regulated and there must be a serious legistlation against disseminating fake news in Nigeria. Stop believing everything you hear or read online. At least, consider it a lie until you are able to verify it. MasterKernel: |
You mind telling us in which of the correctional facilities did he served his time in the USA? I assume you are not really knowledgeable in how the law works or maybe how things works in real life, outside the village where you live currently. In case I am right about your ignorance, civil law is different from criminal law. Kalu was convicted of a criminal offense. In criminal conviction you have either fine or jail and in some cases both. Was Gbaja's case criminal or civil? MasterKernel: |
5 years jail term for disseminating fake news, 2 years sharing it, and 6 months for liking it. |

You are correct and your mindset is progressive. I can tell you the reason they stopped the uber and co from coming to the airport is, probably, that the airport taxi union must have had serious meetings with FAAN executive and dropped fat brown envelope. If there is an app for airport shuttle and the drivers are enrolled in it, they will be forced to go out and bring customers and the people on Uber platforms can still be part of this. This is a simple problem just need a little bit of innovation tweak and millions to be made. I am sure the people feeding fat on the status quo will not want this to happen. Meanwhile, I agree 100% with your position. Reference: |
Not every country in Europe allows Uber and a similar model. The Republic of Ireland doesn't want its regulated taxi industry to disrupt. That doesn't mean the country is not making the progress, they just don't want to fix what is not broken. The FAAN probably have some regulatory arrangement with the Airport Taxi. Maybe someone should develop an app for the Airport taxi, covering all the 31 Airports in Nigeria. Twenty-six of these airports are controlled by FAAN and five are International. Someone should bring a proposal to FAAN, NURTW, and AIRPORT TAXI, create an integrated application that will offer seamless service for users. Then let the uber drivers enroll in the program to pick passengers from and to the airport. Devops: |
What if there was fraud? Are you saying you trust those people managing Nigerian resources? Please make efforts to see beyond Tinubu machinery. Do you even know if it was Tinubu that caused the investigation in the first place? healthserve: |
The OP should thank God that there are no law against fake news yet. He would be looking at doing serious time for misleading the public. Tobinrobin: |
Did you skip your evening meds? What makes this post look like a tribal debate to you? Take your Chlorpromazine and sleep biko. Everything is not about tribal politics. Your boss at work, assuming you have any, is probably an Igbo man. Prompto: |
Thank God for people like you. If average Nigerian think this way we would have been one of the top 10 countries in the world. Mass illiteracy is the number one cause of corruption. Imagine, stealing over 7 billion naira from your own people? That is enough to train 500 surgeons, 100 Chartered Accountant 2,000 engineers in different fields and unleash them to transform the state. Everyone who ruled Nigeria, in whatever capacity, from 1999 till 2015 is supposed to be sent to prison and all their properties confiscated. Referring to your statement in bold; We need to change our constitution completely. LibertyRep: |
What fact? I am advising you to stop spamming the posts with your logo design comments. It's annoying. Why not pay nairaland couple of thousand to advertise your business properly? Don't try to ignore the point I raised and pretend as if I care about whatever fact you are peddling. If you can't afford nairaland ads go and do Facebook ads and target small business owners in your adsets targeting and stop annoying people here. Brandstudio01: |
You keep disturbing us with this your logo design comment on almost every post on nairaland. If you are so busy targeting every new post when do you have time to design logos for your clients? In case you don't know what you are doing is called spamming and it's annoying. Mynd44 Brandstudio01: |
From who did you inherit this kind of thinking? It must be in your DNA. It's definitely not something you learned. By your logic, it is OK to steal and use part of the money you stole for charity work or pay 10% in the church. I am not saying your man stole. But if someone has done something wrong in the past does justice not require that they make it right? Stop celebrating fraudulent people. That's why your governors and politician are wasting all your wealth. Decolonel: |
I don't really know how to answer people without brains. Why not ask the OP? lexy2014: |
Would you buy Naija rice if they sell it half the price of the Thailand rice in the market before they close the border? Must we import what we consume as a nation? I am sure you know the giant scam behind petrol import and subsidies in Nigeria. Let us become agricultural nation. Let government and private sectors go into rice production. Let us refine our oil, let's stop wasting our forex on importing food. Should we be importing gaari too? If we have to close the border for us to sit right so be it. One thing I can tell you is that 90% of Nigerians are not eating imported rice this Christmas and I am happy with that. Yes, to answer your question I am not sure if what answer to give you. What do you think? I drink fresh milk every morning, straight from the farm at about €2 per litre. Why can't the herdsmen supply milk in Nigeria? Yeah, Peak milk and Cowbell will be banned and then we are going to wake up. I support the FG's efforts. If they have to pull out of ECOWAS and AU to make the country better so be it. lexy2014: |
Unless the border is closed nobody will be interested in building anything. We have the land and a large population of jobless youths, let's go into farming. ki02020: |
Have you seeing Tinubu's car collection fa? To compare Tinubu with Melaye shows how advance your thinking really is. Let's talk about Tinubu's know businesses: TVC, Radio Continental, Oriental Hotels, First Nation Airlines, Alpha Beta, etc Do you have any idea how many Nigerians are drawing their monthly pay cheques from these businesses? Nigerian politicians have stealing public funds in their DNA and obviously we can't do nothing about it as it stands. But what are you going to gain from a politician that 'stole' all your money and buy cars with it? To what benefit are the cars to your hungry self? By the way, I don't have to tell you if I am making money or not, but for you to assume that I need to go make money shows you are a typical Nigerian youth that is probably jobless. SalamRushdie: |
The cost of his car collection is enough to build a private polytechnics with 5 departments and employ staff and support businesses in his local government. |
Oduduwa University Ipetumodu, Ile Ife, Osun State had some conversion programs. Call them to find out if the still do the conversion programs. |
Burden of proof is on you that your 40million is missing. Start with how you came about the money and the proof it was in that house. princeade86: |
You passed the unreasonable man test. ZombieTERROR: |
Do you have any idea how much was inside the bullion van, where the money came from and what it was meant for? What if the total money in each van was 2.49 million naira? Do you think EFCC has enough evidence to prosecute the man in whose house the vans were seen driven into? What if there was no chance of proving that any law was broken? Please, let us start working with facts and not by emotion. The man did not deny that bullion van came into his compound. He claimed the money brought into his compound was his money and that he can choose to spend his money anyhow he pleases. He claimed he is not a public office holder or a government contractor. The only way you can hold him on money laundry is if the money in question can be proven to be over 5 million naira cash. Let us stop raising dust unnecessarily. The EFCC won't go after any case they know they can't win. Maybe we should focus the energy derived from the little food consumed on other issues that we have the chance of correcting. My response is premised on the assumption that I am dealing with a reasonable person. ZombieTERROR: |
