Meanwhile guys, what would you do if you find this on your car the next morning and no one has called to lay claim? You'd even noticed it haz been lying in the trunk for like 2nights. What would you do?

Most car manufactures are now moving into thinner oil for fuel, emissions and other reasons.. So the engine will need to be built to accommodate those changes, the USA is having strict emissions rules, so those engine will need to be built to fit pass the emission law etc ......

Now since other countries don't have the same strict law as the USA ,car company can decide to built whatever nonsense they want to built for those poorer countries ..

Even Europe emission laws and safety are starting to follow the USA standard. All these requirements makes USA a very competitive car market... most car company know that the America is the most profit market to get in..

Than been said ,those cars been produce for less inferior market will have different specification on engine maintenance etc .. It is imperative that car owners read their owners manual at all times ..

Let me give example .. When checking your engine oil level ,the universal thing to do is check it in the morning when all the oil might have settle down and on flat ground not hilly ground ,but flat even ground to get accurate reading etc..

So I follow this rule when I woke up in the morning to my 2011 G25x oil level.. When I check it the dipstick showed oil is low .. I was worried, and I drove my car that day ..

So when I came back my mind was telling me to read owners manual etc .. I read it and the instructions was that before checking oil level .. Ran your to operate driving temperature for 10 to 15 minutes.. After that off the engine and let the car sit for 30 minutes.. After following the instructions I check my oil level and it was perfectly gauge .....

Now imagine if I didnt follow owners manual, I could have over fill the engine with oil and runied my car for good.....

My point is that we should use common sense and read car manual at all times... naija mechanics.. Make I no talk. This is why Radauto is doing well and people come to her shop .. She is American trained ..Make I no talk no more self

is it safe to say the civic consumes more than the accord? 1k fuel to n fro oshodi to lekki phase 1 on AC? Bros fuel is now 164# ooooo. I remembered during my early days, i met a guy who told me his corolla would do about 40k on a 7k full tank. Me I kept wondering why the different corollas have used wouldn't even do 30k. Little did I know that uncle was using salt n pepper. Let's stop exagerating things.

Press down the Odometer bottun. Hold it down and put on the ignition (don't start the car, just ignition). You'll hear the buzzer, the light will blink for about 5 seconds, hold till the Maint Rqqd light disappears.

2005 Ford mondeo manual transmission costs a paltry 25k- It never dies actually.
Automatic transmission costs less than 60k.

Its one of my top 3 cars for the hustle. This is what you should do.

Get a friend or relative that has been using a car for the past 4yrs.

To the seller, tell him you want to test drive the car for a long distance with him and your person.

Buy fuel 1k then drive the car from e.g oshodi to Lekki ph1 then turn back to your destination.

If car is good you would have noticed the major problem in your journey to and fro.

If seller refuses to your proposal pls japa.

hmmmmm some riders shaaaa, I picked this lady from lekki phase 1 to oral estate on the 31st ,after we got to oral estate she said she forgot to use the atm that I should drive her to any atm around of which i had already end the trip(1500) i don't know whr to see any bank on that express so i said let me buy fuel with her card she accepted unfortunately thr pos was not working, so she promised to send the money later on as we couldn't find any bank around, this lady from my observation was willing to pay but probably because we hv departed she felt no need to pay anymore cos she fly in from akwa ibom and was flying back the next day according to her gist if i send her message on watsap her reply is always i will send it dear..I hv checked her profile on Facebook she's a beauty queen and doing some humanitarian works. Noting works perfectly in this country that's y i prefer all this ehailing business should be strictly cards

Are the sellers on Jiji using a different dollar rate? The fact is car prices on Nairaland are outrageous. I'm looking to get a car and I have been everywhere and I can tell you what you see in nairaland is madness compared to ANYWHERE else. I think most of the sellers are middlemen - that's the only excuse I can think of.

It beats my imagination cos i can rem whwn i was in 200level in 2010 two guys bought cars in my hostel. One was e.o.d for 1.8m,the other was golf 3 for 1.2m so how come one idiot wants to sell his or someone else's for that same amount. The time of golf 3 don pass.

The 3rd seemed cool but I'd have to buy another engine according to the seller,I told him to sell at 650 so I just get engine for 150 he refused,he said 750k last....see sey I don try......

I have no business with Asian civics, am based in the USA and I export from the USA ... the only advantage is the civic build in Japan will tend to be stronger than the ones assembled in Canada or the USA .....

Example 2008 Rav4 was built in Japan for the USA market.. Those rav4 at the auction are ridiculously expensive due to their engine, especially their v6 ......I
