MY EAZYPEAZY BS...am typing wt one hand so bear wt d errors,

My edd was july 24th nd woke up early 23rd nd purging like no mans business well i thot it was my bf aka mr false labor nd waved it off,fast forward to 4.30pm,was abt preparing dinner wen i started avin mild cramps nd wen it was 15mins apart i got curious nd being a gud student of tisha zaynie,i brot out my watch nd started timing,wen it became 10mins apart i called my nurse to give situation report nd she told me to head to d hospital that labour symptoms differ,dh went to get fuel then i was alone wt lucas,i called him to start cumin nd wen he came i picked up my small hospital bag nd asked d okada man dat brot dh to hold on for me nd left under d drizzling rain[dnt panic mamas d hospital is just opp my estate nd d car get little ish],i got to d hospital exactly 6pm nd d doc did a VE for me nd said i was 6cm dilated,no wonder i didn't feel d pain unlike before nd i called dh to bring my main bag,d cramps were getting intense nd 5mins apart now,i was asked to lie on d bed nd things were set up for d maindeal,wen i saw d nurse brot out my bae's cloth,i got nervous nd touched my tummy nd said i will see u soon dear,we r going to make it out of here,my doc squeezed my hands nd said am doing gud nd shouldn't panic,d contractions were cumin 2mins now nd doc said i should pant nd not push no mata d urge so i kept pantin like dog nd started laughing at a point cuz i know i look ridiculous,wen doc checked me i was 9cm nd he said if he asked me to push,i should raise my head and stare at my navel like a sit up nd wen he said push,i did as directed nd groaned at d 3rd time,my best friend slid out screaming her lungs out at exactly 7.45pm weighing 3.1kg,everything i asked God for He did even though i aint perfect,asked for a girl[checked],an easy delivery[checked],a bigger baby[checked],i had little tear nd while d episiotomy was going on,BAE was cleansed nd takin to her dad and broda,by 8.10pm i walked to d room nd carried my ds nd started prophesying into her life nd asked God to please put smiles on all ttc mamas out there cuz it was a sweet bitter experience talkin abt d pain nd joy thereafter.
My advice to all mamas; Trust ur doctor nd hospital if u don't then beta change hands cuz u need to av faith in ur midwife even though my doc na young dude,i trust him nd he was fantastic.
Pls endeavour to make d 40weeks mark as long as dia is nt any risk,Bae came out white but no cause for alarm wen she was checked,i was anxious too bt thanks to mum zaynie abeg d woman na angel nd i love her,she calmed me nd my capo mitchyy too,gud inlaw.
thirdly stop fretting ova tears,believe me u won't mind wen ur precious made den entrance.
fourthly,av faith in ur strenght as a woman,if a 10yr old can bear pikin,u can too wt cs o or not,God gat u.my whole family were shocked wen i gave birth,my dear father was jst laughing nd said'omo alalubarika ni e' cuz i was actually speaking wt him while d labour ws ongoing,so believe in urself nd dnt feel any less even if it was cs cuz some neva made it out.
to d ttc mamas all miracles happen unexpectedly i had my bfps wen i wasn't supposed to,so keep calm nd rock life b4 vigilante go start rockin una.

My bag had been parked and was already in my boot since 36wks.
At 9:00pm I told dh we shd go to the hosp, that it's better for us to be sent back than to be helpless at midnight cos there is a gate that will be locked before our quarters at 11pm!
All this while I was still feeling d contraction, mild but every 10mins
On getting to d hosp,doc examined me and said I was 2cm wooow so suprised
Within me I was not even ready for baby but my mind just told me to go to d hosp.
D doc set d line for drip and I was taken to the ward.
Real contraction started @ 10 30pm with serious back pain and stomach tightening. Everytime it comes dh would rub d lower back/waist veryyyyyy hard and be saying sorry sorry sorry!
This time it was 5mins apart. At 11 30 I went to beg d doc to come n check me again that it's unbearable,he said it's not possible for me to have fully dilated in 1hr even with a miracle! I shouted at him that what if my own was diff, he said na lie. I went bk upstairs and went to beg d midwife! She said I am not doing like someone having any pains, immediately dh shouted 'my wife is a strong woman, I knw she's in pains,she's bearing it'
D woman agreed to check me and said I was 6cm
At 12am I said baby come now anniversary is ending now lol
At 1:30am I begged to be checked again o cos doc said it's after 4hrs lol. D woman agreed again and said I was 8cm
I was dressed and moved to d delivery room! Dh followed me and kept on rubbing d back even while on d delivery bed. D hard rubbing brought relief
At 2pm I had d strong urge to poo,d midwife said no I should not oo,I kept holding d poo! It got to a stage I coulnt hold it again,she checked and said its time to push lol
I pushed hard and she wud tell me to stop pushing when I dnt feel contraction.
Immediately contraction comes she would tell me to push hard again, I did baby no gree come o
With each push, I was pooping lol! See shit everywhere
I asked her if she has seen babys head she said yes now that I should push hard
Anytime contraction goes I will still be joking and laffing. Once it holds me again story go change
At 2:25am I increased d level of my pushing, I closed my eyes and pushed with all my strength, my princess popped out and started crying, she laid her on my chest for few seconds! Tears of joy rolled down my cheek! Dh wiped it hugged me frm side and was shouting thank you Jesus. She weighed 3.1 the same thing scan gave me 6 days before dat day
I had little tears and d woman said it's because I didn't relax my yansh well tho she's bn saying it before d baby came out that I shd relax my bombom on d bed.
I give God all d glory it ended in praise
4hrs delivery so very diff frm d first time. D placenta was drawn out and I was given an injection in my vjay to deaden d skin and I was stitched. Didn't feel much pains with that.
I was also given a drip on d line dat was set on my hand already,dnt knw d name but d doc came in then and said its for the uterus to come bk to shape on time

2016, the year I said I do to my luv of yr 1 In unical...... .... After donkey yrs ooooo Lol, 2015 the year God blessed us with our cutie... (on the way o) team Sept, who wouldn't mind porting to August ending. Day drming bout my Lo already.
God has been faithful to me and hubby this 2016, and I return all glory to God.

And yesssss very important, 2016, the year I joined this amazing family on nairaland, and met all the amazing people here. I luv u guys from the bottom of my hrt, and I pray we offload effortlessly and complications free in Jesus name. Amen

I'm a FTM, I am using Wuse general Hospital, when my boss inquired to knw where I reg. For my ante, when I told him Wuse, he said that it is good, Cox thatz where his wife had all their kids, so far so good I think I like the place. So I can try Wuse too

Dear sabi mamas, una Gudu afternoon , abeg I need help, I don't knw wat to do as people keep telling me diff. Things. Since I was pregnant milo n milk have been my best pal, I take it everyday, uptill now, I am 33weeks+ and dh is worried that the baby might be big, tho all my scans I wasn't told the size of my baby, secondly me and eba are best of frnds, we are inseparable, abeg shud I stop taking the milo n milk @this point plus my right hand man @eba? Tho I asked in the hospital, and I was told not to mind people but continue, but I don dey fear biko, help a FTM. Thnk u in advance.

@sugar, be consoled in the Lord, the Bible says, in all things give thanks. So I say tho u mourn, weep not like none without faith. May God wrap his hands of protection n luv around u n ur family tru out this period of grief. Accept my hrt felt condolence.

Imagine what happened two nights ago!!!


I finally got a breastpump because breastfeeding Hansel every hour was getting too exhausting for me. I was happy that i can finally rest at night while dh or mil feeds Hansel with the expressed milk.

I expressed 120mls before going to bed. I was happy that Hansel's stomach will be full.

Only for dh to wake me up at night when i was already in cloud 9 that the milk was not enough for Hansel. I got up and saw that some milk was still remaining in the bottle. Dh said Hansel refused to drink it again.

I had to sit up and breastfeed him.

The next day morning...

While i was breastfeeding Hansel, dh was just looking at my bweast and said he didnt know breastmilk was this sweet... Huh?

He said it tastes like sugar. I asked him how he knew. He said he sipped it yesterday after Hansel refused to drink again

How person husband go dey drink e wife breastmilk?

I just weak! Nothing wey person nor go see for this motherhood journey. Lol

Part 4
Doctor went ahead to speed labour up by giving me drip,I was dehydrated and also on oxytocin injection. That's when I see the real pain. I called Jesus,shouting that I need pain relief. I begged the nurse,doctors etc for help they just ignored me. I didn't know when I started shouting mummy moo and the Names of my siblings to come and help me. I spoke Igbo all through in favour room and they nicknamed me typical Igbo woman.

I called my DH on the phone (they didn't allow him to enter) to pray for me. 12.45pm we moved to the delivery room. I was 10cm but baby's head refused to crown. She's faced up,posterior occipital. I was encouraged to push several times which I did but no show. The Doctor started chooking his hand in my V encouraging me to push harder. They gave episiotomy. Finally the doc was able to turn the head and I gave one push,the head came out,I heard one nurse shout cord and they say don't push. They flipped the cord and I gave one final push. my miracle princess came into the world at 1.10pm but she didn't cry. One doc with the nurses took her out to start resuscitation process. Finally after about 5mins I heard her cry and started shedding tears. Then the devil wan put sand sand,the placenta did not come out in full and I started bleeding. After manually removing the debris the bleeding refused to stop. Next they found a tear on my cervix and called for emergency. I gave birth 1.10 p.m but it took till 3.30pm for them to finish the repair.I thank God for life. My DH called all the pastor's he knows including Christian brethren to pray. God took control and the bleeding stopped. In all I'm grateful to God for everything and to everyone on this thread for the love and support.

I will be back to share lessons learnt.

Another feature I love is that.... It's has net that keeps poop from the skin. There by preventing rashes. I have pampers cruisers too... But I prefer swaddlers by far. I've not used the huggies variety... But I love my swaddlers lol

I will advise you not to buy too much diapers cos i'm pretty sure you'll get lots of it after you give birth. Just buy a few packs of Newborn and Size 1s. I already bought a lot of diapers, but that was because they have all these cheap deal sites here, so I got it dirt cheap. I got Huggies Little Snugglers and Little Movers Plus, Newborn, Size 1, Size 2 and Size 3 totaling around 750 diapers in all for $60.

But if you're gonna be paying full price, just buy a little and see what you get when the baby comes cos you cannot return them and you might not use it all.

It takes a good diaper for u to change 4 times daily. A good diaper doesn't mean brand or name or how expensive.

My baby's diaper has a line that indicates how soaked his diaper is once he pees it changes from yellow to blue and bla bla

Anyway Some diapers can't hold.
Some leak etc.
Some praise naija pampers while others hate it.

Now to my point
A good affordable diaper... Good in terms of quality. Not necessarily brand or name.
Mumtwins08 wants a diaper that's affordable but of good quality. At least when she wear her baby she's not thinking of leaks and the likes.

Once u express, u put in storage bottles and freeze. When u want to use it,bring out and allow to defrost then warm in hot water. Watever remains, u throw away
