Now that a tout (Wike) is at the helm, we now have political this and that with solidarity protests everywhere. Bunch of clueless m.orons, settle ASUU's demands first before you give it a political coloration.
In other news, APC has been accused by government for the nations directionless economy, according to feelers from the presidency, the former governor of lagos state; Ahmed Tinubu was reported to have held nocturnal meetings with top business executives and heads of federal parastatals urging them to destabilize the gains which the present administration had hope to achieve. Can u imagine and this frog eyes thief tinubu is left to walk free? Economic sabotage!! Catch him n jail him or better still, make him disappear |

Elueme: With the exception of Lagos-Ibadan-shagamu road which I haven't travelled through in about 2 years now, I can attest to the other roads mentioned by Okupe. Benin-Ore axis is masterpiece but can't say much about Ore- Shagamu but learnt it's almost complete now. Abuja-Lokoja has seen a renewed commitment and it maybe commissioned next year after successive govts couldn't revive it. Enugu Portharcourt was a shame of a nation but the road is in a very top shape as a trunk A road. The Kano-Maiduguri dualization is complete etc. These are normal Nigerians confirming the truth, that means Gej is working. If other past leaders did what he has done in just 2yrs, Nigeria will be a lot better. Nigerians surely know whom to vote for in 2015 |

RedBenson: Market Women Association? No wonder! They are really uneducated (i refused to address them as 'illiterates') as thier spokewoman had admitted. You can imagine the nonsense she spewed. If they were out to protest against ASUU, why did they have to go to national assembly? Is ASUU office now in national assembly or ministry of education office? Besides, why did they emphasize on lecturers from state uni. joining the strike? Are all thier children in only state universities? Instead of them to press thier grievances on the failed govt, they went around bullying un-called noise. Nonsense!
Anyways sha, they've tried. What has the students done irrespective of being the ones affected? Have they protested like this braved women? Abegi, strike all the way till 2014. You are a Big n Mighty fo.ol. The women should deal with them. Majority of the lecturers went to school with scholarship and free food on their table but what have they left for the youth? Crap . Greedy fellows |

Politics › Re: The beginning and end of ezenwor wike and rotimi ameachi. by peleson: 2:03am On Oct 13, 2013 |
hardywaltz: My broda thank you very much.
I get to read a lot of crap here on NL, very soon the Lagos noise makers who have neva stepped foot in Rivers State will tell you more about Rivers State than we that live here.
Ameachi and Wike were never ever friends until late 2006 in the run up to 2007 when Ameachi found him to be a dependable ally. Prior to that time Wike's loyalty was always to Odili who he knew from Odili's wife when he (Wike's) wife was doing court attachment with in Port Harcourt when Justice Mary Odili was there.
In 2003 LG elections, Ameachi put in a couple of words for him to Odili hence he became the only LG Boss to go for re-election and he slowly became loyal to the speaker, but until 2007 it was a master servant relationship between him and Ameachi (a Speaker).
During the 2007 "k-leg" debacle, i can't remember Wike doing much other than collecting monies from all the other LG chairmen (most were Loyal to Ameachi) including that empty head Felix Obuah aka Go-Round and using the funds to mobilized people to Abuja any time the case came up for hearing and also moving Ameachi around the state whenever he was in the country (Wike is a very very dependable ally).
The Principal actor in the Ameachi Vs. Omeahia case was Justice Kabiri Whyte (a retired supreme court judge) who was instrumental in approaching his fellow SC judges. Omehia had over $5million dollars cash but didn't know how to approach them. His Chief of Staff Glory Eme made away with the money when they lost. Justice Whyte's role was neva mentioned until recently for obvious reasons.
In 2011 Wike picked up the Rivers East senatorial form without consulting with Ameachi, however GEJ put a call to Ameachi requesting that, that particular Senatorial seat be given to his in-law Senator George Sekibo which Ameachi obliged coz it fitted into his overall master plan (He Ameachi been a Senator in 2015). Ameachi then asked Wike to step aside coz Ikwerre had occupied that seat for 8years without interruption (Sen. Mbata) that it was the turn of the Riverrine, Wike shouted down the Government House, hitting the elegant table in the Governor's office several times, we all had to run for cover coz we didn't know whether he would beat us all if he came out of the office. Wike's line of argument was that GEJ also requested that Sen. Lee Meaba be allowed to continue in the Senate (he was the first senator to move for GEJ to be elevated to acting President on the floor of the senate and almost got beaten up by his Northern colleagues), Ameachi told GEJ that Lee Meaba was free to contest in the primaries against Magnus Abe and if he won, he will give him his full support. Wike wondered why Ameachi didn't also give GEJ such conditions for his own Senatorial seat.
We were surprised to see him some days later leading the Governor's campaign.
Ameachi compensated him with a Ministerial slot which caused a lot of uproar coz Ameachi and Wike are from Ikwerre and both were occupying important positions to the detriment of other tribes in Rivers state, particularly the Riverrines, and the name of the nominee that was substituted (Tonye Cole) was from Kalabari so most felt that a Riverrine person should have been given the slot. Ameachi in his usual style didn't really care much about the grumblings.
Ameachi is to blame for all his political trivial, most people warned him about the enormous powers his Chief of Staff wielded and the bad blood he was creating for him and on behalf of his government. Wike the only CoS in Nigeria to attend State Exco meetings, It was Wike who practically ran most of the perceived (real or imaginary) enemies of Ameachi out of the state. The day Ameachi was sworn in as Governor while the rest of us where popping campaign Wike was busy calling all the Commissioners, SAs and PAs of Omeahia to return their Toyota Camarys within 24hours, it was Ameachi who put a stop to it. Glory Eme (Omehia's CoS) was hunted all over the place and ran to UK with his family to avoid Wike's heat, it was also this Ameachi that let Glory Eme of the hook and he was able to return to Emouha. The list is endless. Most if not all of Ameachi's enemies today were actually created for him by Wike.
It was this same Wike that tried unsuccessfully to have Ameachi remove his Deputy Engr. Tele Ikuru since he was sworn in with Omehia, Ameachi been a man of his own refused due to Legal issues. That singular act is what is keeping Ameachi in office till date because if he had remove his deputy and sworn in a new one, then technically his tenured would have ended in Oct 2011 instead of May 2011. Now Omehia and Wike (2 foolish Lawyers) want the Courts to declare that Ameachi's tenure ended in Oct 2011 there giving his deputy 4years + 5months in office.
We know Wike very well, when the chips are down he will push GEJ aside and move on. However all these people following Wike now know his true character, they know it was him that chased them out of Port Harcourt not Ameachi and when 2015 wind blows over he will be put in his real place - Prison.
Ameachi in his 6years as Governor has neva masterminded or accused of masterminding the Assassination or muscled any of his political foes.
This post is from an insider who saw it all happen. My brother, you are very very correct!! Wike is a very wicked man. He is known for tribalism, nepotism and wickedness. If not for Gov. Amaechi, Wike will be nowhere politically today. I remember how Gov. Amaechi brought out 2b for bursery and scholarship for students but wike cornered the money and refused to pay. All the enemies Amaechi has today was created by wicked wike. I believe Gej knows him very well. Wike's time as LG boss was when people know obio/Akpo LGA as a wicked LGA in the whole of R/State. Wike Putting his brother as LG boss instead of the rightful person and wanting to become Governor shows how wicked minded he is. Amaechi knew wike was capable of killing him oo for power. |

fkaz: Stop spewing rubbish
Let them join if that will make FG fulfil their agreement. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. if we get our education system right we would have solve 70% of our problem. Keep quit! What is right about ASUU demands? Their pockets! ASUU is the 2nd highest paid in africa n the 12th highest paid in the world n now they want to be the highest in the world just like the senators! If ASUU says, NO GOING BACK until our lawmakers and politician stop mismanagement and reduce their jumbo pay them we ll be happy BUT if they say NO GOING BACK until u increase and PAY US OUR JUMBO ALLOWANCE then it's greed. We are too intelligent for the rubbish! No work no pay for ASUU. Have ASUU considered the hell they make students face and all the intimidations , harassment n bribes? Have they gone on strike for that? Ofcos majority of them went to school on SCHOLARSHIPS with FREE MEAL from the government on their table. Have they gone on strike to bring some of those things back? Only their pockets! |
