Sincere 9gerian: The federal cabinet ministers are currently making presentations and responding to questions.

The ministers of transport, environment and works have already made their presentations.

The minister of transport said the eastern rail line rehabilitation will be completed by the end of this year. The work is currently about 35% completed but all the needed equipments are already on ground.

The Onitsha port which was completed and commissioned late last year is currently being concessioned for private management. The Ibaka deep sea port in Akwa-Ibom is being procured under PPP (20% FG, 20% state govt and 60% private sector). Actual work will commence next year. The Aba dry port was also mentioned. The feasibility studies for the Lagos-Benin-Onitsha-Enugu fast train line with an off-shoot to from Onitsha to Aba will be completed in 3rd quater of this year. After that, the procurement process for the project under PPP will commence.

The minister of environment addressed issues relating to erosion in the southeast.

The minister of works said the full reconstruction of the Enugu-PH road will commence later this year. Work on the Enugu-Onitsha road has gone full blast and will be completed next year. N30billion is already in the bag as counterpart funding to construct the Second Niger Bridge. Preliminary work on the bridge has commenced. The president will in a few weeks time flag off full blast work by Julius Berger on the Second Niger Bridge.
Several other roads were also mentioned.

The minister of power talked about several distribution and transmission power facilities that have been completed in the southeast in the last two years.

The minister of finance talked about N50billion interest free World Bank loan secured to holistically tackle erosion in the southeast.

I drove through that road to osogbo on monday and back to lagos on tuesday n I repeat, who ever wrote this article is either ignorant or plotting against Nigeria government and should be arrested and jailed for spreading lies. I repeat, nowhere in lagos-ibadan express way will u see a pot-hole deep enough that you will see sand ( either red or white sand). U can only see washoff n breakage on the road PERIOD!

Lagos - benin road is 90% completed with road marks. We have worst roads with deep n large wash offs on some part of the country than lagos-ibadan. That road has only little breakage n very light wash off. No where along lagos-ibadan express will you see a deep pot hole or wash off capable of breaking or stalking your vehicle. You cannot see a red or white sand underneth the wash offs, you only see concrete , so the road is not a dead trap compared to what we call dead traps in nigerian roads as the writer wants us to believe. FERMA is visibly covering the pot-holes as noticed travelling to n fro ibadan .

@All interested travelers. I have a resort in Kenya and South Africa to choose from for FOUR (4) People only. As it was given to me for free after signing up with for their travel plan for 5years to be getting 1week stay at any resort in the world for 4 - 6persons for a period of 5years and can be borrowing next year 1week stay to this year if 1 week would not be enough. It cost about N727,000. I paid nearly half of the total amount which made the company to gave me this voucher to travel for 1week free with 4 persons to any of the resorts in Kenya or in South Africa Sun City preferably. If I choose not to go, I can get the names of four other people interested and they would have to travel as a family to either of this resort. I think they have a website, just google it to find out more. I have been traveling before, I have never visited Banjul, in Gambia, but is 4hrs on air, that's too much within Africa na lol. Cape town, nice place, have my own home there, not so far from the tourist center in Waterfront and table mountain, just a few minutes drive as my house is in Brooklyn. Let's make up our mind seriously on what we want to do about visiting other africa nations for tour and come back to NL to share pictures and stuff.
