She's very indifferent, ready to move on if anything happens the next minute. The answer is all in her frame. She maintains a very erect stance. She doesn't lean. The two guys were all maintaining compromising frame. They were leaning into her. It's conclusive that they dig her more than she digs them. She has the game. |

passfolio: Hi Hattbricker,
This is David the founder of Passfolio - thank you for using Passfolio! I want to reassure you that if you submitted a withdrawal it is being processed. All withdrawals have been processed on time except for three. Two withdrawals had an error saying the bank was unavailable at the time of the request. When this happens we resubmit the withdrawal periodically until it processes. One of these happened maybe 1-2 weeks ago and was completed and there is another one right now we are working on processing.
One additional problem has come up with a misconfiguration in Flutterwave that we are working to fix ASAP that is impacting one withdrawal (I'm guessing yours). We only recently launched the Nigeria forex support so this bug is new but Flutterwave should fix the issue Wednesday Nigeria time. You did select instant so it should have processed by now - if you're the user that emailed support we already replied and gave a reward for the amount of the fees because of the issue. Sorry for the delay and we are working to get it distributed ASAP. If you have any other questions you can email support@passfolio.us or me at david at passfolio.us
Sincerely, David Gobaud Passfolio CEO & Founder Chief, please, why don't you guys allow Debit card deposit?! I use a dorm account which I can easily find in Trading 212. Which you guys should make this option possible. |

Science/Technology › Re: Why Do Countries Have Different Time Zones? by Penboy: 3:39pm On Dec 27, 2020 |
MalaikaEH: Okay, OP, let me teach you in primary school tone and voice.
My instructional material is a flashlight (touch) and a spherical globe containing map of the world. For easier understanding, take the materials to a dark room where the only source of light is the touch light.
Now, the touch represents the sun and should be kept on a chair at one corner of the room. The sun is the only source of light in the whole universe . The moon and stars merely reflect rays of light from the sun. The sun does not move at all. It is stationary and shines constantly without stopping. So, in this dark room, keep the touch light shining at one place towards the globe without offing it.
Back to the globe, make it stand constantly on the south pole with Australia near it, while the North Pole is constantly upside with Siberia, Alaska and Northern Russia close to it.
Now, set the globe in such a way that the light is shining directly on the map of Nigeria on the globe. In real world, that happens around 12pm in Nigeria. Other countries on the same line (latitude) with Nigeria, such as Italy, Libya, Tunisia, Niger, Germany, etc have their 12pm at the same time. So, it is said that they are on the same time zone.
At this same time, countries and areas directly behind Nigeria on the other side of the globe will have their 12am (i.e. Mid night) because the light from the touch (sun) can not reach them.
The earth rotates anti-clockwise on its axis (meaning that it turns round and round slowly on the South Pole side). So, we turn our globe so that the touch light now shines directly on the map of Ghana, Mali, UK, Spain, etc . In reality, it takes the earth complete 1 hour to make this turn. So, the time zone around the world would have changed by 1 hour. Time in Nigeria becomes 1pm when Ghana has 12pm, At this same time, Senegal would be having 11am. The earth and time continue to move until Nigeria will reach behind the light, which is night. At 12am (mid night) in Nigeria, some countries facing the sun will have their mid day. It takes 24 hours for the earth to rotate completely on its axis. That is what we call one day.
Also, the earth revolves around the sun. That means it continues moving, apart From rotating, until it has gone round the sun. This takes 365 and one quarter days to complete. That is one year.
I hope you all understand today's lesson. Wrong.. The sun is not the source of light in the universe. We have our own solar system which the sun illuminates.. Away from our solar system are galaxies with millions of star which our sun belongs... And then we have millions of galaxies and so on and so forth. |
Science/Technology › Re: Why Do Countries Have Different Time Zones? by Penboy: 3:34pm On Dec 27, 2020 |
chrisooblog: the planet earth rotates slowly over a 24 hour period. as it's doing this parts of the planet are exposed to sunlight which is called day while other parts of the planet are left in darkness which we call night. the time zones indicate the different periods that the earth has rotated.
Canada is 6-7 hours behind because our part of the world rotates and sees the sun before they do. with the uk the time is the same or one hour difference depending on the time of the year. plus because nigeria and uk are relatively in the same area of the earth when it rotates to meet the sun the time zone will roughly be the same.
you will notice also that countries like australia, china, japan are several time zones ahead of us that is because their part of the planet is furthest from us so they would get sunshine before we do. hope this helps I had that problem throughout my secondary school. Do a Google search and you'll find out the rotation is very fast. 1 thousand miles per hour is thus faster than a fighter jet. |

So when did the love start? When?
My brother, you were just one obsessed man who tied his entire destiny to a lady he met on the road and you are very lucky she was bored in her former relationship to even notice you.

willingheart: I'm truly in love with this guy. We are happy together, We understand each other perfectly. With him I'm myself, No pretence. Same with him. He's everything I want in a man, but the problem is that: he doesn't have money. He keeps trying, but things are not working. no job and he's from a family where everyone are on their own facing their challenges, no support.
He's 35yrs this yr and I'm 30 already. He wants to get married, but he can't afford it.
Lately, I buy almost everything for him, to support him.
Age is not on my side, yet the only man I love and that loves me can't afford to marry me. If we're married, it will be easy for me to share everything with him without my family members putting eyes.
My Aunt called me stu.pid that i should accept a financially stable man instead of being with a man who can not afford to take care of me. I have little money I saved to support my wedding as well, but he have nothing.
Married people in the house please help. I want to have direction plan for my life coming year.
Marrying the one you love or the one that's financially stable. What's your advice and opinion? Is there a financially stable man ready to marry you right now? |

Family › Re: Do You Fear For Your Kids Future In Nigeria? by Penboy: 2:44pm On Dec 14, 2020 |
Klass99: The topic/thread reminds me of what my father said to me 2 or 3 years ago.
He asked me if I had a man or serious relationship in my life at the time. I said not really because the guy I was dating then was speaking one kind of spanish I didn't like or understand. Dude was talking about having 4 kids.
When my dad heard this he laughed and said two kids are more than enough in this age and time, things are not going to get better in our country or the world at large. Children are also going to be more stubborn and difficult to manage, than ever before. Coming from a man who had seven kids of his own, I didn't doubt him at all. Now look at what's happening in our country not just with SARS protests, but the economy and polity as a whole.
That same guy who was mouthing off about having four kids, kept going on and on, about the cost of baby food, diapers etc when I last saw him. He wouldn't shut up about how much he spends and the high cost of things. I just said this is your first child and you are complaining like this, what will you do when the other 3 come? Or have you forgotten you are on a mission to have 4 children? How many kids dyou have now? |
