obiadinmaa: Pix of d two victims dat fell to assassins bullet..rip deariehmmmm, you have a picture.....taken from the passenger side....and u just registered on nairaland yesterday.....a day after d assasination.....ok o |
ifyalways: nothing to do with tu mean anambra in general....the men were in a black 2000 camry...the hefty man at the wheel in blue check shirt was the SARS commander in anambra state based in awkuzu in anambra sta te while d other slim one in white shirt was his aide...d car belonged to his aide, he had abandoned his own 2012 corrola since he started getting threat messages immediately after sars smashed d may kidnapping in anambra.there had even been an attempt on him at izizi hotel in awkuzu on tuesday but cuz he was surrounded by armed men, it was foiled.....the assassins went with his fone and they have been calling the key sars operatives tellg them that its their turn.right now the entire anambra state police command is ANGRY......(dont ask me how I know) |
@ poster... Better start praying for d spirit of discernment to be able to distinguish d predators from the shepherds!! |
ifyalways: When did you get married ?Congrats oh.@ifyalways...You Are Wicked!!! ![]() |
Xenophobic kleptomaniac |
I believe it depends on d definition of a failed marriage, when can it be said that a marriage has broken down irredeemably? Couples at times do not define when they are just having 'issues' and when there is complete breakdown!! 90 per cent of divorces happen cuz of issues dt could have been resolved with a little patience on both sides. Whenever a divorce that is merited occurs...both sides usually breathe a sigh of relief and there are no regrets, but if the reasons are not 'deep' enough....u bet both sides will continue to be miserable and bitter!! |
@op If you were born in the UK, (since you said you were not born in Nigeria), and you were also brought back (?) to the UK when you were very young, what that implies is that you were born in the UK, but your parents took you back to Nigeria, hence they had to apply for a Visa for you to bring you back, this visa would have been the length of their own, if you were then left behind or somehow did not get to go back to Nigeria after the expiration of the Visa, technically, you MIGHT be an overstayer but there are still several routes for you to regularize depending on so many things. 1. If you did not spend up to three months in Nigeria before coming back to the UK, you can claim British Nationality....just get together your Red Book, school records, evidence of where you have been staying so far and documents to show that you have been resident in UK for the first 10 years of your life continuosly without leaving for more than 90 days in a single year. 2. If you dont meet that requirement, but you were still a minor when you came back to the UK and you have been in the UK continuously since then you might still have a case depending on how old you are now. |
deeplo: wow... speechless. It will help if u give the 'amin ohun' to aid the pronounciation Yoruba is such that tones, inflexions and pronounciation contribute greatly...almost 70% to the meaning of words, not just the spelling....that is why Yoruba can never be effectively taught online (I know some people will crucify me for this).... Yoruba is only 30% written and 70% spoken! (Note that I did not refer to Yoruba as a language cuz it is not a language....Yoruba is the totality of language, culture, tradition, belief, poetry (to mention a few components) of a race!! |
naijababe: Never heard that before, however, Ogberi means uninitiated. ![]() Iyalawo!! |
aribisala0: Do you mean Odu Itura?Deny it if u want, but u are already an Awo, Awo is about knowledge and wisdom, Not Odu Otura nor Odu Itura jare, but Otura Odi...(Otura'di)....its a personal quest kind of....and as you will probably know, no matter how knowledgeable one might be in these things another enlightened opinion is always best. Thanks all d same bro |
@ aribisala0 do you by any chance have any knowledge of 'Oturadi'? |
naijababe: I disagree because the entire premise of Yoruba philosophy is 'tibi tire l'ada 'le aye'. Taking out what we may consider bad would be akin to removing half of the teachings.@naijababe search here http://www.ifa-orisha.com/jaaps-ifa-texts/index.html @aribisala0 I don't usually comment where ignoramuses might interfere but for you I'm breaking that rule.....I RESPECT YOU!! |
ty0123: I want to make an enqiry about sometin. I'm a british citizen I av my birth certificate both small nd long. I applied 4 british passport bt I wz decline nd I wz ask 2 submit my skul certificate,my picture,nd d date I wz born wz 1988. I wnt 2 knw if I will be give d visa. Pls ani bodi 2 pls xplain 2 me.Not only that, they will require your school records till age 10, and proof that you have not lived outside UK for more than 3 months in any given year for the first 10yrs of your life.since 1983,being born in d UK doesnt make you british automatically, so while u might have ur birth certificate, there are still other conditions to be met,one of them is what I just outlined,in my opinion, your application for a British passport is coming 14yrs late, cuz u will have to go to d schools you attended for the first 10yrs of ur life in UK to get the records, you will need a copy of your Red Book for the first 10yrs of ur life etc, If however you did not live in UK continuosly till age 10,then you are not British so you do not qualify for a British passport. |
justwise: How is that? They married without getting the marriage certificate?@justwise and vicjustice, She said 'husband to be' in her original post, i think that is d actual problem!! Anyway...isnt there a visa category for people who intend to get married to their affianced in the UK? Or that category too has been reviewed? If that category still exists, that should be their best route, But wait o, her 'husband to be' harsh o!! How is she going to meet his requirement of getting pregnant(as contained in the post) if he is in UK and she is in nigeria ? |
Vicjustice: In the visa application form, you will be asked these questions:@vicjustice, Bros...you are too nice, you for tell am d unpleasant truth straight!! @naira_man: If you apply for another visa, you will be automatically refused under their general reasons for refusal i.e u've overstayed more than 28 days, most times the ban will start from the date you re-apply, whenever that is, and not from the date you return (vicjustice pls confirm?)....if you don't declare your previous visit, they will ask you what happened to your previous passport, you are required to give details of all ur previous passports, if you say that the current passport is your first, they will ask you how you got to the UK to obtain another passport since your place of birth is Nigeria (which you would have indicated on the form)and the place of issue of your passport is UK. In my opinion your best option is to apply for entry clearance, tell them the truth, they will refuse you (see the application fee as you fine for overstaying), and the ban will start, after the expiration of the ban you can now re-apply and they will now consider that application on its own merit. |
9jastarz: Anyone in south east london....holaaaaa.....boredom won kill me die for here ooooHaba...enter Barber shop or Pepper Soup joint or Club in Woolwich or Abbeywood or even Peckham na....u go socialize tire!! |

dannywest: Oga no vex o, but there are 105 pages ![]() ![]() U never sabi wetin u wan put ur head into...better start reading now cuz 105 pages is peanuts compared to d volume of material u'll be required to digest when u start ur studies...UK Masters no be joke!! |
femijck: Guys plz help me out with dis puzzle...my fiancee was born in canada but d dad is frm US and mum from MIDDLE EAST though she neva lived in canada....but she had spent most of her life time in several part of europe so she refer to herself as MUTT and presently she's in the state schooling and she's an upcoming singer too in d state. But now we're planning of coming together, but she does not want to live in d state coz she believe europe is more beautiful...and she asked me to choose a country i love in europe but we finally agreed on manchester UK...bt wat i think now is that since she's nt a citizen of UK or even europe it wont really favour me coz i dnt knw ao she can help...But i can bring her down to naija coz she's also willing...so guys do u think if i solemnize d relatnshp in nigeria going to d canada or US wil be easy...coz i can convince her for canada atleast and nt US...plz gud suggestns. No matter the amount of mixed blood running in her veins,if she travels around a lot as you claim, then she must have the travel document(passport) of one country, that is her nationality and that is the country you can 'easily' apply for spousal visa for (to live in or work) |
Its no magic or juju, its just sleight of hands...they train using cards..i mean d regular playing cards, their hands move so fast that u don't see anything..u are distracted by the right hand while d left is doing something else..If u need to change money in ikeja, surah or Inside lagos airport hotel are authentic..thats why those allen/alade market people have refused to have a police station there and why armed robbers kill them regularly!! |

Alexapa22: Check out this case"I have some cash in my account to show as evidence, though not the required amount.I was so lucky to get an official sponsorship(My local university) as defined by UKBA(official financial sponsor) and they promised to provide the remaining balance. What re d documents i need to show as evidence of fund available for my sponsorship? Will the letter from my local university stay for 28 days before i apply, also? Also my uncle that bears the same surname with me also volunteered to sponsor me.Can i use him, maybe as my father?and as well provide the necessary documents for proof. When dealing with the UKBA,Honesty is always the Best Policy.....why would you disown your father and start claiming that your Uncle is your father? As par your other questions.....go through the first 10 pages of this thread...those questions and any others that you might have were considerably explained....including sponsorship requirements. |
ayonaledi: @penfold. Thanks. Your exact explanation is what I gave them. I'm self employed, have been using my personal account to run my business and have been paying taxes in my name. The company sponsoring my course and entire trip has all the documentation. Tax certificates, cert of registration, bank statement etc. The only reason why I mentioned anything about my business is cos I ticked the self employed category. However, my mum's company is going to reonsible for all expensesAnother point is whether your Mum has been authorized by the company to spend the company's resources on you.I mean documented authorization? |
ayonaledi: I will attach a tax clearance certificate for my personal account since its my personal account I've been using all this while. I hope that can sufficeI think that's why you were classified as a business visitor. In law (Which the UKBA will reckon with) you are different from your company, so if the company doesnt pay tax,and doesnt have an operating account, its best to totally omit your company details. So,for this purpose, you are self employed, its ur personal account that you've been using to run the business and the taxes have been in your name, you are self employed!!!! That will now bring us to the other crucial question, if you are self employed, what guarantee can you give UKBA that you will come back to Nigeria after your course?......Strong commitments....business dealings that are documented and that will require your presence.....investments....family ties...think, there must be something that will convince the ECO's naturally suspicious mind set!!! By the way, I think you should calm down and not rush to submit....take your time and get it right! (where is @Justwise sef ![]() ![]() ![]() ?? He should come give his own input o!!!!!) |
ayonaledi: I plan to reapply on Friday. And this brings up another question: how long do I have to wait before applying again? Is the any rule of thumb as regards that? No, u can apply as soon as ur documents are complete... Give a thought to explaining ur own financial circumstances too, since ur income was mentioned in the refusal letter. |
ayonaledi: What i dont understand is If I applied stating I have a sponsor, why were the reasons for refusal centered around my own financial standing/documents? All the necessary financial evidence for my sponsor was attached to my application so I'm really confused. Not sure if I should appeal cos i hear it takes really long. Was it also normal for them to have kept referring to me in the refusal lefter as a business visitorIts not unusual for them to ewamine your own financial standing since you've deemed it fit to include documents relating to that. One very salient thing that they've mentioned is the evidence that your company is still in business. The ECO stated,as a typical white man would think, that why would a company that your mother co-owns,decide to sponsor you? I dont think you should appeal. I think you should re-apply,this time around, include current and past tax returns of the company,in addition to all the documents you have submitted previously. They have stated that you dont have strong ties to Nigeria,If you can show proof of your commitment to clients..maybe documented orders for your goods extending beyond your course date,or if u are married, documents to show that.or something to show them that you have a reason to come back to nigeria. Also, attach a very very comprehensive letter from your mum, explaining how the course will enhance the profitability of the company of which she will benefit from too. Then you too should attach a letter addressing all their reasons for rejection one by one and the step you have taken to adress their refusal reasons,in the letter, correct them that you are a student visitor and not a business visitor. Lastly, get another letter from your school confirming your start date. All the best! |
ayonaledi: Hi Justwise, I just got back from the Visa office. Was denied visa. However one thing that got me confused was in the refusal letter, after listing each reason why i was refused, they kept referring to me as a business visitor when I applied as a student visitor. That aside, I'm not sure if I should appeal or just apply again. I was able to defer my short course to January 2013 so I have 2months to sort this visa issue out. Please adviceTo come to the UK as a student visitor, you must have been accepted on a course of study in the UK. The institution that provides the course must be: a licensed sponsor under Tier 4 of the points-based system - you can download a list (or 'register') of sponsors from the right side of this page; or accredited by Accreditation UK or the Accreditation Body for Language Services (ABLS), which offer accreditation service for providers of English Language courses; or accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) or the Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC), which offer accreditation for a range of institutions and courses; or inspected or audited by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted), HM Inspectorate of Education (in Scotland), Estyn (in Wales), the Education and Training Inspectorate (in Northern Ireland) or the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI); or an overseas higher education institution which offers only part of its programmes in the UK, holds its own national accreditation, and offers programmes of an equivalent level to a UK degree. You must not intend to study at a maintained school. You must show that, during your visit, you do not intend to: take paid or unpaid employment, produce goods or provide services, including the selling of goods or services directly to members of the public; marry or register a civil partnership, or give notice of marriage or civil partnership; carry out the activities of a business visitor, a sports visitor or an entertainer visitor; or receive private medical treatment. You must also be able to show that: you are 18 or over; you intend to visit the UK for no more than 6 months (or 11 months if you will be undertaking an English Language course - see below); you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit; you have enough money to support and accommodate yourself without working or help from public funds, or you and any dependants will be supported and accommodated by relatives or friends; you can meet the cost of the return or onward journey; and you are not in transit to a country outside the 'Common Travel Area' (Ireland, the UK, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands). This page contains information about the documents that you may want to provide to support your application to come to the UK as a student visitor. If you apply for a visa, you should provide these documents with your visa application. If you travel to the UK without a visa, you should bring them with you so that you can show them to our officers at the border. You should provide as many relevant documents as you can to show that you qualify for entry to the UK. If you do not provide them, we may refuse your application. You must decide which documents will best support your application. We advise you to consider providing documents that contain: information about you information about your finances and employment your accommodation and travel details information about your visit to the UK I strongly suspect that the problem is from the highlighted parts....particularly the section referrring to your finances and employment (cash lodgement?.....financial records??) |

That aside, I'm not sure if I should appeal or just apply again. I was able to defer my short course to January 2013 so I have 2months to sort this visa issue out. Please adviceWell, since its a short course you are going for and you applied as a student visitor, the rules are different from that of Tier 4, and to be able to answer your question, there are some things you need to clarify:- 1. Which form did you fill, it will help if you can give the reference number of the form 2. Could you state the reasons they gave for denying the Visa 3. Which Institution did u apply to and whats the exact start and end date of the course as specified in your offer letter? |
dejiswaggs: Err....... This is the seven Books Of Moses:Guy!!!!! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FRIGGIN' SENSES ??Will you remove that link NOW!!!!!! In your own interest...a word is enough for the wise! |
penfold: Interesting.... ijigbamigb: If you think this world is all about what you see physically alone then you've not seen anything. We have other realms that exist that just ordinary eyes can't see. Every aspect of nature is controlled by its own spirit in the higher realm. If you are conversant with this spirits then you can manipulate them for your own use. If you are a yoruba that is conversant with the yoruba culture, you should have heard about odu ifa. That alone is as powerful as any spiritual weapon on earth.Enuff said!!! |
