The film features a cast led by child actress Dera Osadebe, alongside Miwa Olorunfemi, Chisom Agoawuike and other actors. Producer David Umoke also takes on the role of Inspector Penguin, the detective at the centre of the investigation.


Speaking on the production, David Umoke said the film was conceived to challenge conventional storytelling while encouraging conversations about justice and accountability. “At its heart, Murder in Class 5 is more than a murder mystery. It’s a story about how truth can become complicated by power, perception and social status…”

The film has also generated considerable interest online, reportedly recording close to half a million YouTube views within days of its release.

The reality is that the record of Obi has made the Prof to be like a school certificate carrier.
