Politics › Namadi Sambo did not defect to APC, still a loyal PDP man - Umar Sani by Penguin2(op): 7:31am On Jun 19, 2025 |
PRESS STATEMENT
Rebuttal to False Claims of Defection by Arc. Mohammed Namadi Sambo, GCON
My attention has been drawn to a widely circulated story alleging that His Excellency, Arc. Mohammed Namadi Sambo, GCON, former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This claim is entirely false and without any basis.
Following numerous calls and inquiries, I have taken the liberty on the authority of His Excellency’s family to issue this formal rebuttal. I categorically state that the story is a fabrication, laced with mischief and aimed at misleading the public.
The photograph supporting this falsehood, showing His Excellency with the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, is not recent. It was taken years ago during a condolence visit by the Governor to His Excellency’s residence in Abuja, following the demise of his brother, the late Sani Sambo. The image is now being deliberately misrepresented to fit a contrived narrative.
Furthermore, His Excellency is scheduled to attend the commissioning of a 300-bed hospital in Kaduna on Thursday, 19th June 2025. This project, which he initiated during his time in office, stands as a testament to his enduring commitment to public service and the development of Kaduna State. His invitation to witness the completion of this legacy project, and possibly offer a few remarks, must not be misconstrued as a political endorsement or as confirmation of any partisan shift.
For the avoidance of doubt, His Excellency, Arc. Mohammed Namadi Sambo remains a loyal and committed member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He has no intention of joining any other political party. The defection story is purely the figment of the imagination of its authors calculated to sow confusion and achieve cheap political mileage.
We urge the public and the media to disregard this misinformation and treat it with the contempt it deserves.
Signed, Umar Sani Former media adviser to former Vice President Arc MN Sambo GCON https://x.com/UmarSanithecat/status/1935473569804468412?t=gOlLaRFo3-zNrmCuXZFHsQ&s=19

zero8zero: A former VP is a political non entity but you are celebrating Tanko, Datti, Nnenadi Usman, etc in Obidient movement Show me where I’ve ever celebrated these guys you mentioned. We value them but definitely know what they can and cannot do. Unfortunately, it’s not the same for you guys. Ascribe deity status to anyone who defects to APC as if they have more than one vote. Example is how you lots always celebrate the defection of a Labour Party Senator or Rep Member. These are non-entities that won election because of Obi. Or is there any of them who Obi won his constituency because of him and not the other way round? |

Lol! Congratulations to him.
But this changes nothing.
Because even if all the 36 governors defect to APC, Tinubu will be smoked out of Aso Rock in 2027.
Besides, Namadi Sambo is a political non-entity. Zero weight 😏 |

Lol! The woman is clearly not impressed by their deceit and photo-ops.
It’s like a woman that is married and facing hell in her marriage.
Her husband uses her as punching bag.
Starves her of both food and sex.
Restricts her movement.
Then one day the husband heard his wife’s people will be visiting and he quickly rushed to the market to buy wrapper for the woman. Gave her money to plait her hair so she can look good.
Do you think that woman will be impressed? No!
Because she knows her husband is not doing those things out of love for her but just to cover shame.
The people know who loves them. And that’s Peter Obi.
And in 2027, Obi will come and rescue them. |

Maxymilliano: No wonder the government at the center had to come up with a press release to condemn the attacks after a prolonged silence and advising the governor to push for reconciliation Exactly! Tinubu only issued that press statement after being made aware of the Pope’s callout. This is killings that has been going on for months now. If the Pope hadn’t talked, the President wouldn’t have said pim. And even the press seem to have gone to bed with them. None of them is reporting the killings. This is contrary to what happened under Jonathan when Channels Television used to carry these things on its head. |

Britishpea: I am sure you haven’t seen the type of houses bamboos are used to build.
The houses are beautiful and there’s nothing wrong with it. So people who can’t make 25k in a month won’t live in a bamboo houses? Even Latin America does it. Costa Rica, Colombia have that for their lowest income earners.
Americans live in a “container homes”, their moderately “OK” citizens live in a completely wooden homes but rich Nigerians wil never do that. The will prefer that blocks and cements houses.
Something is absolutely wrong with our mentalities.
Only Nigerians will go to Mali, Togo, Benin republic, Ghana to hustle as laborers, waiter or waitress in canteens, do all sort of jobs that they avoided back home. And these countries are miles away decayed than Nigeria.
An average Nigerian wants to japa to anywhere in the world just to escape from Nigeria. But this is not the case with other African countrymen.
Only Nigerians are found on social media attacking the country left, right and centre. But other African countries with poor infrastructure, bad economy etc are not found denigrating their counties online.
Something is definitely wrong with our docile youths including the OP The money that will be spent in building the kind of bamboo houses you and your ilk are showing here can actually build a one room and parlour bungalow and have change. Or even a mud house and plaster it. That would be even more durable, safer and dignifying. Stop defending the absurd, my friend! |

Not even the poorest Almajiri in the North does. This should be collectively condemned. |

Politics › Bamboo Houses: Shouldn’t We Be Ashamed As A Country? by Penguin2(op): 9:04pm On Jun 13, 2025 |
The news of the Federal Government proposing to build Bamboo Houses for the poor has been making rounds since yesterday through a statement reportedly made by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
But I was thinking that by now the Federal Govt would have issued a system providing clarifications that maybe they didn’t mean Bamboo Houses in its literal sense, but nothing of such has happened which means they truly said and meant what was reported.
And I ask, shouldn’t we be ashamed that in the 21st century, our government is proposing to build bamboo houses for its citizens? Like seriously?
And the supporters of government are cheering that too. So that makes sense too?
Like, don’t you guys have a cut off mark below which you can no longer defend?
Have you all become so shameless? |

surgical: what else do want to know, he is using it to service his elite colleagues ,the people that matters in Nigeria, can't you see it in the number of endorsement from the elite, many from the opposition too are falling over themselves to be counted among, that's the power of deep pocket The masses have shown themselves to be utterly useless and dump, by not priotising themselves like the elite ,that's why even the little they have is taken from them and given to the elite An elite will not fight a battle he has nothing to gain from, while the masses fight for fun,or may be tribe or religion, something not important, and the government gives them that ,some talking points, or divide and rule rhetoric to be chewing, while the government and the elite laugh them at their back You can imagine, people not concerned about health care delivery ,affordable education, affordable cost of living, secured environment, enabling environment for businesses to thrive but will be interested in who hates the president, etc Great points! But one thing I keep saying is that I’m not moved, one bit, by the barrage of defections to APC and endorsements that Tinubu is getting. Because I know, just like you said, that once the masses can prioritize themselves in 2027, there’s nothing much those defecting can do. The big question is can they? |
