UpaIweka:
You talk too much but have lil or no political knowledge. Now imagine Obi is able to convince Kwakwaso to be his Vice, do you think anyone n not only Tinubu able to stop their victory ?

So tell me why Obi can do all it takes to ensure that ticket becomes a reality ?

Even if it mean he will be vice to Kwankwaso, what is wrong in that so long it is the progress of Nigeria that he truly wants but we knos that is not what Obi or you Igbos wants. Instead you want payback which you will never get.

When Obi is ready to be president let him beg Kwakwaso to be his vice, if he refuse Obi should offer him the right to chose as many minister as he Kwakwaso want plus the SGF or SSG or even both just to achieve his aim of becoming the president.

After becoming president he can banish Kwankwanso if he so desire but he must understand he shoukd be willing to give all to get to the sit else he should stop wastung everyone's time.
You followed the 2023 politicking and Kwankwaso’s utterances, right?

Now, from those utterances, does it look like Obi is the reason they are not working together?

You see that Kwankwaso has this egotistic and deep seated ethnic jingoism which makes him think he would be doing Obi a favour by even asking him to be his running mate.

But you ignore all those to blame Obi; and blame me for not thinking enough?

Penguin2 no go gree....
No.

I’m becoming amenable to Obi running as Atiku’s running mate in 2027 and succeeding him as president in 2031 or whenever.

That way, we’ll get Obi’s 4 years of Vice Presidency and 8 years of Presidency.

If we insist on him running in 2027, Tinubu men will exploit the fear of power being in the South for 12 years to campaign against him in the north; while southern stakeholders seem to have sold themselves to Tinubu for a plate of pudding.

So, I’m more logical and pragmatic than you reckon. The problem lies with majority of Obidients who seem not to be thinking.

So, apparently, they keep people in the religion by force; with fear and intimidation.

They fight for their God instead of thier God fighting for them.

And they kill in the name of their God with the hope of being rewarded with 72 virgins when they die.

Until the day that I’ll die, I will never understand that religion.

And if Nigeria must move forward, religion - Christian and Islam - must be regulated in this country. But we are not ready for that conversation.

What's your point now?. He sat behind, Fayemi was there too, other Nigeria delegates also sat behind. Bishop Kukah and other bishops sat at a separate section, regular catholic faithfuls around the world were at another areas. The Pope was on the podium. But after the event, only few could go in and greet the Pope, and that's what the viral video was all about, he was denied access. Free me abeg.
Let me educate you - for free.

First, Peter Obi is a Papal Knight. And at that stage he would ordinarily enjoy some privilege not enjoyed by ordinary people.

Second, Bishop Kukah and other Catholic Bishops didn’t need Tinubu’s assistance to get a pass into the Vatican. As Local Ordinaries, they have a right to attend such events and have a special section dedicated to the clergy where they will sit.

Third, that entire section wasn’t occupied by Nigeria delegation alone. The people that came for that event were too many for the Vatican to dedicate all that section to Nigeria alone.

So, don’t put your mouth in what you don’t know next time.

All the politicians sucking up to him are not up to 10,000. His agbado minions are not up to 1m at least going by the figures of the last elections were he could only muster 500k inflated votes in his stronghold
All these endorsement and alignment is for politicians. If the people don't want you, endorsements will not save you
That’s what I’m saying.

In 2021, APC harvested everybody in Anambra including a seating Deputy Governor but when the Election Day came, Anambra people voted who they wanted.

So, I will never be deceived by all these defections even if all 36 governors defect to APC.

They are just engaging in a jamboree

fergie001:
The best way out for the S/East will be to oppose APC at guber level as much as anyone wants to, but ask the President to do more then embarrass him with your votes. You might not like the President but he is 98% re-elected.
As usual, I will tell you not to be too sure.

2 years is a long time and a lot of dynamics will still come into play.

What Tinubu is doing now is not different from what APC did in Anambra in 2021 when they harvested even the seating Deputy Governor but they still lost.

Maybe I’m delusional but don’t be too sure about Tinubu’s re-election.

Something tells me Tinubu will be smoked out of Aso Rock the way Jonathan was smoked out in 2015.

Even your attempt at damage control further exposes Yu being uninformed. It seems you are ten years behind the event. This was the open field where the inauguration took place. However, after the inauguration, the Pope was ushered into a restricted area where Heads of states and diplomats could meet and greet him. That was the place Obi was trying to sneak in and Cardinal Arinze begging on his behalf before he was bounced. Get your facts right.
So you admit Peter Obi sat where Heads of State sat?

What do you call where Heads of States are seated?
PoliticsRe: Papal Inauguration: Picture Of Peter Obi In VVIP Section. by Penguin2(op): 3:34pm On May 20, 2025

Don't mind the OP, na damage control grin. You can see it was where delegates were sitting during the events, Seyi & Bianca were also sitting there. Delegates were sitting behind the various head of states and representatives who occupied the front seats. Other delegates of each country seat behind them. The real issue was Obi trying to shake the Pope and he was bounced.

-Kiss the truth!

PoliticsPapal Inauguration: Picture Of Peter Obi In VVIP Section. by Penguin2(op):

As old as I am, I’ve never seen someone call a DJ and sowed Asoebi and cooked party rice and threw a party because he paid back the loan he was owing.

Na under Tinubu government I dey see am for the first time.

These dunderheads are celebrating the repayment of loans that they acquired in the first place.

These are loans that when Buhari was borrowing them, we were shouting on top of our voices that the buffoon should stop borrowing but the same people asking us why we are not wearing debt-repayment-Asoebi with them now called enemies of Nigeria then for asking Buhari to stop borrowing.

And when you want to remind them these things they choose to gaslight and make you seem like the bad person.

It is with a heavy heart we read this, on behalf of the opposition parties. We have seen how our leadership have frittered away opportunities given to us by Nigerians allowing the APC run roughshod unchallenged. This. Is not the democracy persons lived and died for.

Subsequent today, we have issued a 7-day notice to our leadership that failure to come together and confront this behemoth ruling party, we will cease membership of our respective parties and seek the mandate of the people elsewhere.

Elsewhere..... Four of us after the meeting grin grin
🤣🤣🤣

Fergie relax!

In 2023 elections, 8 months before the election, everyone thought it was going to be a two horse race between the PDP candidate and the APC candidate. The candidates of the two parties were easily guessed as Atiku and Tinubu.

Nobody envisaged a third - Peter Obi.

8 months later, they had to shutdown the IREV to stop the third candidate they didn’t envisage 8 months earlier.

So, I’m going to tell you to take a chill pill and not be bamboozled by Tinubu’s shenanigans. We are still 2 years away from the election.

And just like 2023, another surprise awaits in 2027.

The only reason we were able to see the anomaly in JAMB was because they didn’t protect their head office with detachment of military troop like INEC.

But unlike JAMB, INEC locked its gates and asked us to go to court. They shut down every attempt to scrutinize and audit their conduct of the election.

Even when the courts ordered them to release the BVAS machine to litigants, it took them days to obey that simple order. But mind you that even the BVAS machine is only but an input device of the front end. Because the real koko of INEC’s abracadabra is in the backend of their server. But they never allowed access to their backend.

So yes, if it can be become legal for INEC’s server to be audited after every election, it would be a good one.

The question is, will they obey the provision?

@Penguin2

Clearing your debts helps to build Investors' confidence in your country and keep attracting them because no man is an island.

In other words, when investors know that you don't owe any lending agencies, they will be happy to invest in your country as the government won't introduce new policies to tax investors just to clear or service their debt.

When investors bring their businesses to a country, they create jobs for the jobless people, which will improve GDP and reduce crime rate. This the single most important reason why it's a good thing for countries not to owe anyone.

Don't forget that you learnt this from me, SmartPolician
How will this affect the life of an average Nigerian in the short and medium term? Because what you just said here is the long term effect.

What is its gain to our pockets in the interim that should make it worthy of the kind of celebration you people are attaching to it?

In the past few days, the media space has been awash with the news of Nigeria’s full settlement of its debt obligation to the IMF with supporters of the present administration singing to high heavens about the feat and I’ve been left wondering what is really there to be celebrated.

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that our debt obligation to international lenders is being lowered but is it really worth all the furore that has come with it?

Because with dire situation that Nigeria and Nigerians find themselves, I see no way that debt settlement would positively impact the life of the average Nigerian.

Will it lower the price of garri? No.

Will it lower the price of rice? No.

Will it lower the price of egg? No.

Will lower the price of milk and other basic essentials? No.

Will it lower the exchange rate and lead to price reduction in imported products? No.

So, why should the common man in the street celebrate this loan repayment in the way APC administration is making us to?
