Politics › LP/NNPP Merger Has Been Dead Since Four Weeks Ago - Doyin Okupe by Penguin2(op):
Doyin Okupe on Channels TV this evening just said that the Labour Party and NNPP merger talks has been dead for four weeks.

He said he led the delegation of Labour that spoke with NNPP delegation about the proposed merger and that when the NNPP divide didn’t see anything wrong in a Muslim and a Northwesterner succeeding another Muslim and Northwesterner, he simply called off the talks.

Going ahead, he said he refrained from joining issues with Kwankwaso in the media out of respect for him but seeing that Kwankwaso was latching on the purported merger talks to draw media attention, it became imperative to clear the air.

Dr Okupe said Peter Obi’s authentic running mate will be unveiled between tomorrow and Friday.

Politics › Re: Kwankwaso’s Comments On Obi, Igbo Taken Out Of Context, Says NNPP by Penguin2:
Taaaaaah

Kwankwaso was captured on camera saying Northerners will not vote for an Igbo man which is what some Tinubu urchins have latched on to give themselves some hope.

But what is there is that right now, Kwankwaso can go to hell with his arrogance.

In 2003, Northwest and Northeast voted for Buhari butt Obasanjo still won.

In 2011, Northwest and Northeast voted Buhari again but Jonathan still won.

Peter Obi can still win without votes from Northwest and Northeast.

Besides if things remain as they are right now, Atiku will win Some part of Northeast with Tinubu winning the rest. While Obi is likely to win Christian votes from that region.

Kwankwaso will win Kano. Some people have also said he will win Jigawa.

Tinubu is likely to take other Northwest states while Obi will win Christian votes in that region again.

That leaves us with North Central where Obi will win Benue, Plateau and Abuja; he will do well in Nasarawa too, which should ultimately culminate to him winning North Central.

Obi will also win Southeast and Southsouth scandalously.

Then garner considerable votes in Southwest especially if Tinubu finally floats a Muslim/Muslim ticket.

Do the math and you Peter Obi’s victory without Kwankwaso.

Garfield1, what’s happening in your home state?

Thought you said the hurricane no reach that side?

I told folks that Southeast and Southsouth have always voted in one direction since the elections of the 1950s and nothing has happened to change that pattern. If anything, it has been solidified by the Southeast’s solidarity with Jonathan in 2015 for which Buhari has severely punished us.

Anyone still having doubt of whether Peter Obi will clear the votes of Southeast and Southsouth is the biggest fool to ever walk planet earth.

Danke!

Again I ask, and so what?

This states you mentioned goes to Asiwaju but ondo, Ekiti and Lagos may have good reasonable voters for Obi especially if Asiwaju ever try that Muslim Muslim ticket. Just bury him forever. Definitely Lagos will be highly competitive.

Why I am sceptical about Enugu is that pdp is more rooted there than any other state.I hardly see pro obi movement there.even ipob dont flow well there.Enugu people are too rooted in pdp
Enugu is not too rooted in PDP that they will leave Peter Obi and vote Atiku.

Their loyalty to PDP over the years is purely because of hatred for APC and APGA has not been able to get its acts together in Enugu.

Look my guy, Igbos are one people, I told you that before, if we move, we move together.

Leave Southeast, it’s gone with Obi.

I am not for any candidates,I think that all of them are thieves and liars
Peter Obi will win the 5 states of Southeast and five states in Southsouth minus Delta that might swing to PDP due to Okowa.

That’s 10 states.

Now, add Benue, Plateau and Abuja.

That’s 13 states.

Thank you.

Am a grassroot politician. Apc and PDP are well grassrooted.it can happen in the east because igbos are one minded and are angry with pdp.an overwhelming majority are with peter but it is not so in ss.ss is too rooted and more tied to pdp.it is not as if igbos love pdp,it is a way of voting against buhari you see a better alternative like labour.but labour might struggle in enugu
Labour will struggle in Enugu?

Garfield1 what is it na?

Seems there are days you wear your cap of reason and other days you don’t. Today is obviously one of those days you don’t wear your thinking cap.

How can you say Labour will struggle in Enugu? Because of what Ekweremadu said?

Again, there’s no deeprootedness that can’t be uprooted when the people are determined.

Southsouth and Southeast will vote in one direction in 2023 like they’ve always done. This is a fact you cannot dispute.

That is just one guy telling you his opinion based on what he sees in pH.obi isn't making waves in akwa ibom yet.you need to understand that a state like rivers, delta that gives 80% to pdp cannot be won by labour party easily except theres a major defection.rivers delta results are decided by rigging
What of Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia, Edo, etc? Are they too not used giving PDP 80% of their votes?

If Southeast can swing, they too can swing to Obi.

Why are you seeing it as a very difficult thing?

You know I like being realistic.

You were there yesterday when a guy from Rivers told me that Rivers is 80% for Obi.

Isn’t that what I have always told you?

I can tell you that same is also true for Akwa Ibom and Cross River.

Even Okowa might not deliver Delta.
