Samantha125: If you want to be responsible with your money, that's totally fine with me, but if I come home the following day with shopping bags, don't ask me where I got the money from the same way I won't ask you about your finances.
And if I tell you that I'm going on a girls vacation, don't ask me who's paying for the vacation... Just watch and go ahead and do you while I do me. Your mentality….Omo! And how do you hope to fund the things your man is not giving you? |

kettykin: I just watched the latest video from Marte in Borno, soldiers are now endangered species. something big is around the corner. Igbo boys who didn't not join the military dodged not a bullet but a nuclear bomb. I have realized why Patience Jonathan is not interested in Aso Rock. Sometimes in 2021, there was a reported mutiny in 82 Division Barracks, Enugu. The cause? Igbo soldiers were protesting their mass deployment to the Northeast to combat insurgency. Only few northerners were part of the list. The incident made the news and gave Igbo boys the more reason not to join the military anymore. Trust me, I know in some 20 to 30 years time, Southeast will feel the impact of our boys refusing to join the army today. But how can you blame Chinonso for not joining military when going to do boy boy in Onitsha will turn out more profitable for him on the long run that he may even end up having soldiers as escort. |

Boko Haram is not a threat. Peter Obi is their biggest threat. That’s why they never stop talking about him.
And guess what, you will never hear Sowore talk about things like this.
The fool is playing his own opposition only against Peter Obi. |

fergie001: Whilst the bill is a good one, I support its rejection. It will exacerbate the problem it is trying to solve. I think not. The only thing I don’t like about the bill is its provision for 6 years tenure. Asides that, I think until we are more democratically mature, rotation of power should be constitutionally enshrined for now. It will prevent one part of the country from constituting themselves as rulers while condemning others to perpetual followers whilst making mockery of them. And this should include governorship and Local Government Chairmanship. I see nothing wrong in that. |

Even ewa and garri is now out of the reach of common man.
But surprisingly, their sheeples are still defending them even with empty stomach.
Tribalism is worst than cancer.
Igbos will never defend a terrible government led by Okorocha or Orji Uzor Kalu.
But this people, because he’s one of theirs, defend even the most illogical and the most indefensible.

Politics › Re: Nigerian Senate Passes Final Two Tax Reform Bills by Penguin2: 4:32pm On May 12, 2025 |
The spineless time-wasters passed a Tax Reform with derivation at 20% and population still retaining 50%, defeating the aim of the entire reform.
Derivation should have should have been left at 60%. Only then would the reform have made sense.
People destroying alcohol shouldn’t be sharing in VAT generated from same alcohol.
If I drafted the Tax Reform Bill, states practicing Sharia will get zero percent of VAT derived from alcohol.
But a lot will continue to remain dysfunctional in this country due to political correctness.
Such a shame! |

Travel › Re: Is Moving From Lagos To A Cheaper City Worth It? Some Nigerians Respond by Penguin2: 1:31pm On May 11, 2025 |
flexyrule: I got a training opportunity with an oil and gas firm in Lagos sometime in 2019. I resigned my job in Abuja and moved to Lagos.
Our office was in Ajah. So I got a place around Lakowe. One weekend I decided to check up on my cousin staying at Alapere. I spent the weekend at her place and headed back to Ajah on Monday around 2pm.
We got to the Landmark center axis around 3pm or so.. There was a crazy gridlock on that Lekki-Epe expressway.
I sat down at the back and held on to my bag firmly. Three hours later, we didn't move 300 meters. Passengers kept dropping one after the other, I thought they had either gotten to their bus stop or maybe were hanging around for the traffic to ease.
6pm or so we were around Jakande.. I noticed an exodus of people trekking... and almost all the buses were empty, while others were looking for the easiest way to turn back.
That was when it dawned on me that all the people I saw walking by were actually passengers that alighted from buses and were trekking back home... Omoh!
I jumped down from the bus, and joined the exodus of people happily cruising their legediz Benz to their respective destinations.
I got to Ajah bridge around 9pm, crossed over and got one Orijin bitters, crossed back and located the nearest transport company.. That was GUO.. I bought a ticket for the first bus heading to Abuja the next day.
That was how I ended my training with the firm.
Lagosians are very patient and resilient people! Now this is hilarious 🤣 |

Of course, all those ruining Nigeria with Tinubu right now will be happy to identify with him now that it’s still profitable and easy to do so.
But in no distant time, all those who ever identified with Tinubu will be treated like leper patients and will never amount to anything politically in this country.
So, let them enjoy the party while it lasts. |

citizenY: He knows the danger in doing that. He is putting Kano in danger. APC game plan is to drag him in with his governor. We allknow that the governor is the leader in each state. Abba Yusuf becomes leader of the party in Kano, so what happens to Kwankwaso? Kasala go burst. Sanusi/ Aminu Bayero saga go reach front burner. APC wants Kano by all means and they risk burning the place down. My opinion. It’s not just your opinion my brother, it’s general knowledge. Tinubu doesn’t mind setting Nigeria ablaze as long as he would rule over the ashes. |

fergie001: Some things are not in contention...
1. Abure's tenure has ended. 2.;The process that churned him up at his National Convention was not done in line with our laws.
These two facts are incontrovertible, and suly acknowledged by INEC.
So, INEC is trying not to meddle into the affairs of the Political Party, it's now time to take the bull by the horn, it's now on Peter Obi, Usman and Gov Otti. I really think these people you mentioned have done enough. Or haven’t they? They held a NEC meeting, came up with a resolution and went by themselves to submit it at INEC. What else could they probably have done? INEC should state it’s own resolution already. |
Politics › Re: S’court Judgement: INEC Reinstates Lp’s Abure, Pdp’s Anyanwu Names On Website by Penguin2: 4:53am On May 09, 2025 |
fergie001: Don't blame INEC... SC didn't say one person should be, so Otti and Obi have to call for an expansive NEC meeting with signatures to back it up. The earlier the better so as to stamp it once and for all.
I am happy INEC has come out to dispel, they won't do anything. It's up to the parties to decide. Yea, I’m happy INEC has issued a statement. But if you read the CTC of the Supreme Court judgment and listened to the audio released later, you will see that from the words of their learned Justices, INEC is precluded from accepting Abure as chairman again. They were explicit. Again, Labour stakeholders already went to INEC and given the names of their party leaders. |

I am waiting, I know INEC will deny it. It’s on their website. I’ve verified it. I never knew a day will come that an institution in this country will be disobeying the Supreme Court. |
