My Honda CRV is 5years old I'm yet to change timing belt. I know corolla owners that have driven their cars for over 7 years without changing timing belt, but I'm yet to see a Camry owner (particularly that year u mentioned) that doesn't have a spare timing belt in his boot because that thing dey cut like rubber band.

The catalyst to my knowledge does not affect fuel consumption. It only converts the poisonous gas to harmless gas. It's the upstream sensor ie. the sensor b4 the catalyst that regulates how the injector delivers fuel.

The blower boss. The air blowing from the vents starts reducing till there's little or no air blowing again. After I switch the AC off for a while and put it on back again it works well. And the cycle continues

This clearly shows that the evaporator is blocked with ice thereby not letting air through the fins. The thermostat is not working properly, that's why this happens.

I have a 4 months old Honda Accord 08 that I recently purchased. I noticed that the fan comes on in two cases:


1. when the AC is on, and goes off when AC is switched off.

2. While AC is off, The fan also comes on only in hot weather or when I have drived the car to a reasonable distance and goes off after some time, like some kind of regulation.

Is there any thing I should he worried about ? Or do I need to rewire it to stay on always ?

Any day you try it, your car will start consuming more fuel. Your rewire doesn't know more than people that manufactured the car. In fact change your rewire.

For me Corolla is clearly the most economical between the 2 rides. Camry is a more luxurious ride but comes with its wahala of timing belt that can cut 2 times in a year. Low hanging exhaust.

What you experienced is popularly known as 'black death' what I will suggest is, look for an AC tech that has vacuum pump. Let him flush the whole system again, change the filter inside the Condenser, possibly change the compressor again. Pull a vacuum then refill the gas.
