Dez10: Car gurus in the house, i need urgent help.
The spark plugs in my car hasn't been replaced for the past 3yrs it landed Nigeria.
The car runs fine without any misfire, but am just worried not to have problem when it's time replace them.
My guess was actually right, i got new plugs ready, but as we speak, the plugs are stuck. I couldn't loose them, I don't want to force them to avoid them breaking.
Pls is there any technique i can use to get them out without causing harm to my engine? Go to a mechanic workshop let them use beta socket and handle loose am |

obidevine: I'd like to ask the gurus in the house @ Gazzuzz especially.
Are the 2 fans i.e the AC fan and engine cooling fan meant to blow in the same direction?
Or one blows on 1 direction while the other blows in the opposite direction when turned on They are meant to blow in same direction. ie sucking air from outside to inside. |

DdenslordD: Then you are in a 50-50 chance agai if you give a kazeem to fix. the compressor spoils immediately again That's what I was trying to tell him... Those automatic compressors are 50/50. With the type of technicians we have out there, he will end up changing the compressor over and over. An oem manual compressor for his car will last longer... But what do I know.. |

checky619: Hello house, I just got 2008 Honda Accord and I noticed the gear oil was bad ( the D light was blinking).. changed it with 4 (1L) of Honda gear oil... this morning I noticed the oil was short but it didn’t leak anywhere on the floor where I parked... I called the mechanic and he said we need to top it with one more liter... does that mean the car uses 5 liter gear oil ? When I changed my CR-V gearbox I used 5litres to guage it. |

Ifebazz: Good day guys, please guys, is there any timeframe for one to refill or top up car Air Conditioner gas irrespective of perfomance? I have been using mine for about one year running now, and it's the one that came with the car as I am yet to top up the gas or anything, although, I feel my other car that I topped up seems to 'chill' more than this one. Take it to a competent tech, to hook up guage. That would reveal if the system needs gas. |

obidevine: When I'm in traffic for a while with the AC on. The AC tends to go off and warm air starts blowing from the AC vents, but when there is no traffic and the AC is on and i am on high speed, the AC stays blowing cool air.
I don't understand what the cause could be I suggest you start from the radiator |

yolkman20: Good evening gurus,
Please I need help. I've been extorted and rubbed off my money due to lack of time and my inexperience about cars.
So, I got this corrola 03 toks and it was superb for the first few weeks, but now, it's all bleeped up. I have changed both front and back absorber in the space of 3 weeks. There's this crazy disturbing sound from both front legs, and I was advised to change absorber, linkages and buchin rubber all all.
It was fine after the fixing only for another sound from the owner's side at the back to surface. The sound is like (hohohohobohoho) while on motion and it's really disturbing. I took it to the mechanic shop and they advised I change the back absorber, I did and the sound didn't stop.
I took it back there and we discovered that the exhaust isn't well laid, hence shaking and creating the sound. They worked on it and sound reduced but still coming up. After then, there's crazy sound from the breakpad and I decided to change it, that's when the problem started. Since then, I realized my brake has been malfunctioning. On motion, it just go down and later stabilize, it's been like that since then. I also notice the handbrake is now very strong than before. I
On the driver's side at the back, there's this hohohohohoho sound in the leg, like the tire is rolling round that thing that is making the sound. I'm really frustrated and tired. Most times, I just give it to them to do and then return it back for me in the office, so I don't monitor what they do. I really wanna fix this whole thing and enjoy my car.
Can the gurus pls help me Check engine light is on, I discovered that yesterday.... There lies your problem You can never enjoy your car that way. It's probably the back brake lining that's making the sound. |

OduduaDefender: Mr Gazzuz, I got Corolla 2007 Tokunbo last year September 2020 and I am a novice about car. I notice that the cooling fan doesn't start rotating immediately I start the car until a few minutes after. When I took the car to a recommended Rewire last week to help fix the horn that didn't sound again, he noticed the fan and said he would have do something to make the cooling fan rotate immediately I start the car which he did and the fan starts rotating immediately I start it. My question is whether that would have negative effects on the car Trouble dey sleep you go wake am. Tell him to revert it back to how it was. |

Do your research well. This topic has been talked about here on NL. Personally I will go for the Honda. I gather that Toyota has oil burn issues. Secondly the AC compressor is automatic and is quite pricey. So for a naija used ill bet the compressor has been changed to manual, and this causes engine vibration/increased fuel consumption. |
