Guru in the house.....i have this question. What is wrong in buying Honda car as your first low budget car.

Everyone advise me against buying a Honda Car. Only reason given is leg pulling and low resale value.

Please advise me....Honda cars seem to be the only car i can afford that worth the value.

Suggestions on car or model will be appreciated.

I have used 2 Honda civic, I am currently using Honda CRV. They never for one day stopped me on the road. I used the civic to shuttle between Lagos-Enugu twice in a year for 5 -8 years that I owned them.

Pls help, My honda accord 2005 stops after moving for more than 10km nd wont start until it cools for about 30-45 minutes. I dont knw wat to do.

Sounds like fuel pump issue.

Check your cabin filter. Low gas can also cause this. But u need to visit an AC tech.

Hello guys!

Please i need solution to my Honda CRV's excessive fuel consumption. It has a fuel tank capacity of about 60 litres, and i have observed that it runs about 200 miles or 320 km at that.

The oxygen sensors, spark plugs, catalyst converter( indomine) have been changed, and the nozzles where serviced. Asides, i do petrol treatment and use injector cleaner for every 80l of fuel. I don't use AC because of this, and i don't drive beyond 120 km/ hr most times and my tires are usually well-inflated.

So, i wonder what i could do to improve the gas milleage of the car. I would really appreciate ideas on this.

my Honda CR-V 02 had a faulty level sensor and my rewire removed it to search for a replacement but to my amusement, the 25L fuel in filled in my car finished on a 33km road which is unusual.

What was the solution?

Also a clogged evaporator if left unchecked for long, will cause damage to the compressor. This is because whenever it freezes up, it starves the compressor of oil, also it puts pressure on the compressor, thereby causing excessive heat build up on the compressor.

Every Nigerian above 16 has had an encounter with these men in black. And it hasn't been a pleasant experience. The swear and curse Nigerians have laid on them is what is troubling them. Their solution lies in their hands.

What do you think maybe causing my spark plugs to go dark, do you think a leaking gasket, when I remove the spark plugs, I see little or no oil on them

Could it be that the N1000 NGK plugs I buy never last generally?

A clogged evaporator won't allow the cabin fan suck in air across the fins of the evaporator. This in turn won't allow the AC cool well. Another thing a clogged evaporator would do is the formation of ice on the body of the evaporator. This constant water logging/ Ice forming might cause corrosion on the evep, which will eventually cause leakage.

I think they normally loose the fuel tank cover and take it to camp. There they will mix the colour to spec.

She won't even make it to the blind auditions of The Voice Nigeria.

Grace and the people kept her on the show, yeah, but the judges made it happen. They should keep their yeye criticism.

I blame Seyi Shay for this. Mediocrity at the highest level. I already know her second performance would be a flop.

Your brake switch is bad. A rewire can change it for you.

Hello Gazzuzz, and other gurus in the house. I recently scanned my CR-V '98, and got the following results...

i, P1359 - Crankshaft Position Top Dead Center Sensor Circuit

ii, P0135 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1

iii, P1456 - EVAP Control System Leak detected (Fuel Tank Area)

How do i resolve these issues as it has started gulping fuel, with fluctuating high temp.? Thanks

For p0135 check your upstream o2sensor. Disconnect the socket use a multimeter to check the heater element to see if it is still good,. If it's not change the sensor. If it is ok check the fuse that controls the heater element for the O2 sensor. If you use this approach you won't have to spend money buying an O2 sensor that you don't need.

9 out of 10 times, it's usually the main seal that goes bad and this can be repaired for as little as 5K, compared to the price of a new compressor. If you have the cash it is always better to buy a new one.

Don't start throwing parts at your car. Take it to a competent AC technician to check what is wrong. A lot of things could cause your AC to be behaving the way it is. Expansion valve, Condenser, radiator fan can cause what you are experiencing. If you are in Lagos contact Mosbus, you will be glad you did.

Looks like your fan is connected directly thereby making the engine not to reach optimum operating temperature. Also I think your indomie has been tampered with. Cos the O2 sensor detected by the code is the one after the catalyst.

A 2010 Toyota Camry le with 2ar-fe engine was having a problem. The problem is when starting for the 1st time in the morning, the car will attempt to start while jecking and then switch off. On the 2nd attempt, it will start normal as if nothing happen on the previous attempt.
No check engine light seen while the engine is on but seen when you turn on the ignition.
A scan was performed and p0015 was seen as a pending code.
But the code disappeared after an oil change and driving for about 50+ miles.
My question is can this code cause the starting problem because the car still starts like that especially after being parked for about 6hrs even if you driven it for the day.

When I had fuel pump issue, my car didn't start on the first turn of the engine. But when I changed it, it was always one hand.
