How would you say someone in whose Government ASUU was on strike for 6 months, Doctors were on strike for 13 months and Anambra State Water Corporations were owed of 36 months of arrears of salaries has more merit than someone who never owed a dime?

Whatever the reason for the strike and non payment, that should be a big minus for him. After all, you won't give excuses if it was another candidate that did this as a Governor.

But, I noticed that Northerners are 100% sure that Atiku will win. I had encounter with 2 aboki riders days ago and I asked if they will vote Peter Obi or Tinubu...the guys said, they are voting Atiku. I even argued with the other guy who understands English better to vote PO...but he said, no one in his family can vote anyone aside Atiku.

Those Okada men are just 2 of the millions of voter's card wielding electorates that are not on Twitter, Facebook or Nairaland.

Stupidity is when you say Tinubu ordered the army to kill people even when he wasn't holding even the post of a class monitor in Lagos State but you say that Peter Obi, who was the Govenor and CSO of Anambra isn't the one who ordered the killing of hundreds youths by the police and dumping their bodies in the Izu river.

The Oba himself identify himself as a descendant of Oranmiyan.

I am from Edo State and I know my history. You should know your history too.

During the Ogiso Dynasty in the great Benin kingdom, the last Ogiso (Owodo) had a clash with the nobles which resulted to the banishment of his only son (Ekaladeran).

After Owodo died without another heir apparent, Benin went through a political crisis.
Due to the crisis, some Benin elders sent a delegation to the Ekaladeran (who after his banishment, settled in Ile-ife and became the ruler (Oduduwa)) to come back and rule Benin. But he said he was too old so he sent his son, Oranmiyan (pampered child) to Benin..

When Oranmiyan came to Benin, he found the Benin people difficult to rule over due to opposition and he left them remarking that the land was a land of vexation (Ile-Ibunu) which became the Bini and only someone born and bred in Benin can handle the citizens . So he left.

One his way leaving, he stayed with Osanego (Onogie of Ego) and married his daughter (Erinmwinda) who bore him a son.
It was this son of Oranmiyan, born and brought up in the way and art of Benin that eventually ascended the throne and had the title, Eweka 1.
Eweka thus became the first Oba of Benin and whose dynasty reigns till this day.

In summary, even though Oranmiyan came from Ile-Ife, the monarchy he established is indigenous to Benin because he (Oranmiyan) was the son of a Benin prince (Ekaladeran) and his own son, Eweka 1, was conceived and brought up in Benin by a Benin woman.

That is the history of my people.

What I think Peter Obi wants to do is called financial restructuring. If you equip Nigerians of every zone financially, naturally, the regions will work. He is telling us that it is the economic management of our resources that will emancipate Nigerians from poverty.

I think Pulling millions of people legitimately out of poverty is more important than restructuring and will make any political model work despite the constitutional restraints.

The best thing the incoming president can do is to remove subsidy. By doing that, inflation will increase, thus, prices will go up.
It would take at least 8 years of good government policies before any meaningful change can be seen.

Don't worry about removal of fuel subsidy. Buhari will remove it before he leaves office. He's just waiting for Dangote's refinery to be completed
