BluntCrazeMan: Relax. Leave grammar. It is because “NIGERIA” HAPPENED TO THEM.. .. There was petrol subsidy.. But none of them left petrol importation. And see how the petrol subsidy is killing us? We budget for on petrol subsidy than for power, education and road combined. But thank God Dangote's refinery will soon begin. Buhari will remove subsidy completely before he leaves. And if any candidate that wins feels it's the wrong thing to do, he can put it back. |

quickly: You are not getting it that gas can be used to make 24hr electricity.
Europe needs the gas to power their electricity and keep them warm in winter.
No problem in selling the gas but why is the gas not used for Nigeria’s development. And the plants and generators that will use the gas will be gotten how? The gas will magically transform into transmission wires, dams, the electric cables etc and when the Government wants to pay the workers working in the power stations, they will pay them in gas abi? Most of you Nigerians doesn't even know there is paining you. Most of you don't follow news. Buhari paid for the building of some power plants way back in 2017 and it's not until December this year that they will be transported to Nigeria. We cannot be in shortage of gas, and we are here planning of exporting the same little gas which we don't produce in good quantity. .. I mean, what type of stupidity is that? And who says we are on shortage of gas? Because gas is not 1 Kobo doesn't mean we have shortage of it. Are we also having shortage of pure water because it is no longer N5? |

That's why when they see attempt at good governance, the deem it impossible and unrealistic. Should I remind you of what the Senate did to Buhari when he wanted to stop budget padding in 2016. That's the Senate where the majority are in his party o. They didn't approve the budget and for almost half a year, Nigeria was running without a budget. Is this the best thing we can do with our money at the moment??) Can you just keep quiet and think? Gas will still be in use for the next half a century.. And even if the Russia Ukraine conflict ends, it has already opened the eyes European countries not to depend on only one country for its gas. So they will diversify their markets to other countries so as not to be independent on one country like they've been dependent on Russia.. Alot of Nigerians u will agree with me are misinformed. They don't have the grasp of Nigeria history and development over the years. U just answer; is what I have written true or false? Retard.. It is totally false. You try to paint the picture of the fact that it doesn't take a genius to Govern Lagos. That since Lagos have the advantage of having a 150 years history of being a special City and a capital, and that the whites played a big role in developing (even though if you are fair to history, the whites actually underdeveloped Africa) Lagos. And you claim to be knowledgeable about history but fail to know that the Lagos colony was being ran on losses that was why they had to amalgamate the Lagos colony to the Southern protectorate in 1906. You are trying to paint the picture (even though you are trying to deny it) that Lagos would have been great with or without Tinubu's effort. Try all you want, but you have failed like others before you. |

To remove it is to add money to it. The same thing that is happening in the aviation industry, they should leave the market open and just act as a regulatory agency. So you're saying government don't waste a big chunk of our budget on subsidy but they actually gain from it? |

mycar: There is a comprehension problem here, I am the one making a statement and not Obi, I simply said that when one comes to the office, the person needs to settle down first before anything and not overnight. If Obi decides to perform magic overnight, good ,
I only used Peter Obi as an example in my sentence sef and do know what?
Every time I engage Tinubu supporters, they end up disappointing, just like you, you said that you will support him because he said that he will spread our tax net and remove fuel subsidy, right and not Peter Obi that said that he will scrutinise the subsidy system and determine the exact quantity and the amount, and determine if it actually exist before removing and people must be carried along with all the benefit and it has to be transparent , that's what I call leadership.
On taxation, Obi said that he will look into multiple taxation and cut down on unnecessary expenses like buying SUVs for other countries, budget padding, all the trillions yearly budget for aso rock clinic and glass cutting and what have you, that alone will save us half of our budget amount yearly and you know what, Your Tinubu says that he will tax more people and I ask, what about our resource management, how have they managed the resources available to them? To steal more. I bet you, you will be the first to complain when you would be ask to pay for NTA and newspaper even when you don't even have light in your house to watch one. There's nothing to scrutinize about the fuel subsidy. Government right from Obj (and before) up to Jonathan and Buhari paid subsidy. The subsidy is taking a toll on our revenue and e gats go. There's no turning away from the fact. Bola Tinubu has said it that he will remove it. That's a man with balls. Though I hope Buhari removes it completely before he leaves office. Are we still on this buying SUV for Niger? Nigeria has been supporting smaller African countries right since you could type the alphabet. Nigeria will not stop supporting Niger even till after Buhari. Just because of N1.4 billion that you guys have been disturbing the whole internet for weeks now. N1.4 billion that can't even build a standard faculty in any Nigerian university. N1.4 billion that's less than 0.001% of our security Budget. On Budget padding.. even Buhari wanted to stop it and Senate nor gree sign Budget. And that's with APC being the majority of the seat o.. Is it Obi that will have no senator in labour party that will stop it? |
Politics › Re: Sanwo-Olu Inspects Projects In Lagos Island (Pictures) by Perfectbeing(m): 5:18pm On Aug 12, 2022 |
thinkmoney: You lack good sense of history dotard. Lagos has since more than 150 years been the special city in Nigeria. Everything that will make it a bigger city have gradually since about that time been provided. It was first, a city of administration for the Portuguese, then it became the centre of administration for the English. Portuguese and english people (also wealthy blacks that returned from these European countries), started building edifices and facilities in lagos. It has for hundreds of years been the main port for the importation and exportation of goods and services. Then also, the federal government made the lagos island the capital of the federation and started huge infrastructural development that befits a capital. Lagos got many of its overhead bridges tens of years before any other city in Nigeria. Most of the international embassies and headquarters of large companies came to be situated in lagos. Lagos became the MECCA city of west Africa. Its these factors that I said made lagos my nature and chance well placed than other states. So you see, lagos and its prestige and wealth precede Tinubu by 100s of years. Every administrator played their parts. Governor Otedola in his short time contributed to infrastructural development in lagos. He extended roads constructions to the far extremities of lagos. Tinubu came and played his part. He to his credit saw all this wealth and introduced an efficient system of taxation and increased the revenues accruing to the state government several folds. The succeeding government after him have (compared to him), pursued infrastructural development more with this huge wealth. My point again retard, is that no state has this history, opportunity, potential and wealth to dip into to engage in infrastructural and human development on the scale close to lagos. And I also mentioned the other governors the 'visionary leader's Tinubu helped put in government in other south western states that lack these factors lagos enjoys, I asked for people to see if they have been able to do anything significantly different from the other governors and state with potentials comparable to them? If these same governors that Tinubu mentored and helped to power in other states had become governors in lagos, we would have thought that they are exceptional too. If say Tinubu himself had become governor of Osun state that is his state of origin in 1999, he wouldn't have turned Osun State to what lagos state is now. In fact, Tinubu wouldn't have been what he has become now. It was because of the vast wealth lagos has, which isn't of his making, that he was able to really go to war as it were with the federal government. Know history and understand reality mumu. All these long jargons just to diminish the effort of Bola Tinubu. The fact the you didn't counter that slowpoke that said "even if a mad man Govern Lagos he will perform" shows your true intent. |
