Pls house,I made a mistake when applying for IW and I just saw the mistake from the printout now after submission.... Instead of writing 23 March 2019 as date of Entry US,I wrote 2018. I'm just bothered. Is there a way to change or correct it? Thanks

You qualified until march 2022. Now you don’t qualify for IW, you need to book in-person appointment. What were you doing since February when IW started? You would have renewed your visa since.
Oooops. I heard about it late. Booking appointment now is on a long thing.

I think it's TRUE ..My baby of 2years did something of such in Jan nd I even told her dad that where did she learnt such from cos she just did it once nd stopped. Then I saw a post on Facebook describing what my baby did then nd I waited to confirm it. I missed my period in Feb nd here we are now.

May the peace of the lord be with everyone here and may the pregnant ones deliver safely.

Please I'll need a little explanation to this.

I saw it some minutes ago and decided to bring it here to seek clarifications.

What does it mean for a baby to see through legs or so?
TravelRe: Giving Birth In Brazil by pertruchi: 7:18am On Apr 10, 2020
Waoh....Congrats to you Sis and Afelouz. Waiting for the visa approval since January, still under review maybe due to the covid. I'm just 3mnths gone. I just pray it will be granted before the bump grows bigger. See you people soon in Brazil by Gods grace.

All the information you need to apply for the Visa is on this thread. I just finished reading the thread from Page 1 cos my Baby girl arrived so I needed to refresh on the necessary documentation information here. It took me a day+ to do that, I advice you do too.

Let me give you a breakdown of living cost/ "getting yourselves to Brazil" cost cos that seems to be the only part of your question the thread does not seem to contain:

Visa Application cost: = 36,000NGN
Cheapest Flight to GRU, Sao Paulo: = 385,000NGN, about 450,000NGN to GIG, RJ.
Modest apartment in Sao Paulo with Bills (water, gas, electricity, cable/wifi): = 120,000NGN / month
Feeding: 50,000NGN per person per month.
Transportation Bus/Metro/Uber 50,000NGN/month

*NGN (Nigerian Naira)

The breakdown is just to give you an idea of what it cost to get to Brazil and to keep yourself sane. So make sure you have a good bank balance to show you can actually get to Brazil, survive the number of days you applied for comfortably, return home and your 'short' vacation wont dent your bank balance.

Have submitted since Jan 7 and nothing yet. My question is,will they still call for interview after the delay of 2 months?

Please is there any one who submitted in early January who is yet to be invited for the interview?

It MUST end in praise just for his name sake.

The vlogger is really trying with firsthand info. Have been following him for awhile now. Will definitely see him someday.

Thanks. I just watched the video and applaud him for his selfless act of trying to give information that many of our Africans brothers and sisters have but refuse to share. This is not to say that i endorse him nor claim every info he gives is correct or wrong. People have different source of information and different perspectives. We should all be opened to learning something new.

Back to the issue. I am not all knowing and in fact, i don’t know much. However most information i post here is a combination of official sources (Policia Federal which is like the immigration office), an aggregate of my own personal experience and that of my friends who gave birth here. I just checked again the immigration website which is in charge of receiving and processing PR applications to be sure what I’m saying is in accordance with the law. Trust me, unlike back home, they update info on their website by the minute. I can confirm that so far as the law is concerned, there is no requirement to submit proof of funds nor work contract for PR based on a Brazilian Child.

That said, the law allows immigration officers to ask for additional documents based on their observations during the filling process. So if you show up for your PR applications dressed and looking like a person who has nothing to eat and just wants to get a PR to take social benefits, then you may have the immigration officer asking you for funny documents lol.

In summary, most people who are genuinely in Brazil to contribute to the development of the country will not be required to show such funny documents. You are treated the way you present yourself. Cheers
Thanks for the Info.

If you wait and apply for the visa after your pregnancy is showing and then appear at the Consulate, then it is obvious that you are not going for tourism at that stage and your visa will be denied not because you are pregnant but because your real purpose of the visit could not be established by the VO.

If you are pregnant and not yet showing then you are good to go because pregnant women in their early stages are allowed to travel safely for tourism or whatever reason.

This is the difference. Some people apply for Brazilian visas late in pregnancy maybe because they did not know about this opportunity and some because Brazil is their last choice. I would say, if you want to give birth in Brazil, let it be your first choice. Brazil is the only country in the world that will make the entire family benefit from a child being born there. Why don’t you secure your entire family’s future first and then think of giving birth in the USA or Canada with your next child? After all, the Brazilian passport is as powerful as the American one.

You give birth in the US and then later denied tourist visa meaning you cannot even visit the country with your own American baby. That passport will be useless until your child turns 18 and can settle in the US alone.

I’m not saying don’t give birth in the US, all I’m saying is that set your priorities right. First things first. Now that my entire family is getting a Brazilian passport, my next child can safely be born in the US. With my Brazilian passport, i have a 95% of securing a US visa. Even if I’m refused, my child will still be Brazilian. Don’t follow the crowd.

I can even give birth in Chile without a visa on my current Brazilian PR or Passport and my baby becomes Chilean. A Chilean passport takes you to US, Canada and Australia visa free.

Your choices becomes endless with giving birth in Brazil. Be smart.

Cheers

Hey pertruchi. Having a valid US visa is definitely a plus. In fact, after the Brazilian President passed a decree allowing citizens of the US, Canada and Japan to come to Brazil visa free from June this year, he has suggested allowing the same visa free regime to holders of valid visas from the US and Canada. According to the President, those embassies have already done the job that is supposed to be done by the Brazilian consulates. Though the law has not yet been passed for US valid visa holders, i am saying this to let you know that you have an upper hand in obtaining the visa.

Brazil is a well developed nation that respects human rights. I truly doubt such a country will ask you specifically for a pregnancy test. Though I heard it from this platform, I personally have not heard anyone in my circle being asked for such test. It is extremely unlikely if not illegal and unconstitutional.

For information on visa fee and others, please refer to the official consulate website.

Cheers
Thanks for this response. I’m so happy to hear that. Then I think I should start working on getting all my required documents for the Visa.

From your exertions, your main intention is to go and give birth there which is not illegal. So be upfront about this if you have no intention of going for the 'these'. If you state that your intention is to go for the birthday and then you then want to change to go and give birth, then you open yourself to insecurities in the future either at the POE or when you want to renew.

We believe in stating the truth here, and if your aim is to get someone to encourage you to lie at your interview, well you've come to the wrong forum. Plus, VO's read this thread and you've showed your hand already!
@Dwebb55. Am not planning to lie.Am here to gather useful information that will help me apply and be granted visa cos am new in it and I know you people know much about it than I do.
