FamilyRe: Dear Nigerian Men That Don't Help With Housework, by Petraman(m): 1:55pm On Feb 13, 2013

My purpose of writing this letter is to inform you that you guys really need to start pitying your wives when it comes to the issue of housework.
Try to pity your wives when it comes to the issue of housework.
I have seen different threads on Nairaland where men stated that they can not help with the housework because that is a woman's work or because if they help their wives she will start expecting them to always assist.
One thing you should realize is that you should help out if your wife contributes financially even if the responsibility of taking care of the house is expected to be that of the woman in the society we live in.
It is not easy for women, you have to understand this, having to run jobs and take care of kids and take care of the house all at once is not a piece of cake so please help out.

How would you feel if your wife refused to contribute money to help you with something you have dire need of money for, maybe your business? Or if she refused to contribute money for medical care that you might need for an illness someday in future? What if your wife refused to help you in such times because she believes that contributing financially to the house is something only the husband should do?
Kindly start assisting in the house, thank you. It doesn't make you less of a man.[/quote]It's not a big deal to help our wives at home, but they will use dat as an avenue to ride on us dat we must always help them, even though they can do d work all alone by themselves. Also, friends and families will take us as a fool, wen they see us helping our lovely wives every now and then. I'm not saying we guys should not help them, but girls should also bear it in mind dat we can be available to help them always. They must not depend total on guys to always help them in home chores, but wen the time call for it, we'll surely help.

I'm pretty sure the Nigeria officials would warn him to disembark, but he refused.., i cant imagine, u played late in d night on sunday., partied 2ruout d night, travelled by air on Monday, get to play on Tuesday against an Italian Champion who taught "Chelsea" Europe defending champion "lessons" and he expect he's going to play well...? There is no Pros and Cons. The only thing is that staying with your in-laws is very dangerous. It's not the best for you. Even drinking GARRI and KULIKULI or EPA with PEACE OF MIND is far better than staying with your in-laws and eating TURKEY LEGS everyday and be facing troubles day in day out from your in-laws

FamilyRe: Displaying Family Pictures In The Office: Is It Proper? by Petraman(m): 7:45am On Feb 05, 2013
Opera Mini: I was in someone's office last week, and I noticed that a particular lady had in display in a board beside her desk, both group and individual pictures of her family members. I just wanted to ask whether such a thing is proper in the office, thanks.
With my little knowledge, Hanging ur family pictures in ur office has both negative and positive reason. The positive reason with me here is dat it shows how u love ur family. It'll also remind suitor dat u're a responsible married man/woman. But on d negative aspect, it's dangerous cos ur enemies can easily get to you through ur family by simply tracing their movement and kidnap them asking a ransom from you.

CultureRe: Why You Cant Succeed In This Life by Petraman(m): 12:13am On Feb 05, 2013
Okija_juju: [b]Here is why I think you won’t succeed:

Reality Check #1: Juju is involved: Somebody in your family somewhere does not want you to progress so had tied your wealth and locked it inside an Alomo bitters bottle in the village.

You will need to fast for 3 days to break that curse. If symptoms persist after 3 days, consult your nearest native doctor..

Reality Check #2: A witch in your Village is using your picture as ceiling fan in her room: This is the reason for your near success syndrome. Every time it looks like something good wants to happen to you, it like one big breeze comes and blows it away.. That breeze is being generated by a witch in your village.. Solutions include Fasting, attending many crusades and drinking 2 teaspoons of annoiting oil 3 times daily for 2 years..

Reality Check #3: Your destiny is out of coverage area.. No matter how you try, you can never reach your destiny. Every call you make to your destiny, you only hear 'The destiny you are trying to reach is either switched off or out of coverage area', let me tell you now that you are suffering from what is known as 'NITEL DESTINY PALAVER', and until you change your destiny from Nitel to Glo or Etisalat, this problem is never going away.. How can your destiny still be landline when other peoples destiny is now on 4g.. Solution, change your network provider and watch your destiny move to the permanent site.

Reality Check #4: Bad Minsitry a.k.a Wrong Permanent site syndrome. Its like all your prayers to God either returns undelivered, enters spam mail or goes straight to trash. You might be suffering from bad ministry. If you have been attending a church where testimony is only like 2 persons in a montj, my brother, you need to move from that ministry, because thats not the permanent site for you.. I suggest you move. And when you get to the next ministry, check if they have the C-of-O before you settle there.

Reality Check #5: One Chance..  You have been in Malaysia or over 10 years and you still have not hammered, then you are suffering from one chance syndrome. It is better to deport yourself than to remain their. Solution, migrate from Malaysia to Indonesia. Keep doing this until you reach the permanent site.

Reality Check #6: Ogbange Spirit You make money but it disappears.. You just checked your balance now now at the ATM and its says you have 100 thousand Naira and when you pressed to withdraw 10 thousand naira, it says 'Inssfficient funds'. You have been writing JAMB for over 10 years now till the point that JAMB now sends your form to you pre-filled (all you need to do is sign) yet your cut off for 'Animal Husbandry' (which requires only a cut-off of 50 to gain admission) is always 49.99. You have been jobless for 15 years, and after passing the test and interview, doing medicals, on the day you are about to resume work at Savannah bank, you hear that CBN has closed the bank.. You are definitely suffering from Ogbanje spirit.. Solution, Nna I no know o!! You are on your own..

Conclusion

If you havent succeeded in life, its just because you havent succeeded in life.. #SIMPLE!

Their is no hard and fast rule to success. Dont let anyone decieve you. Some lazy people stumble upon success, many hardworkers still are not successful. Success does not come from spiritual sources either. If God threw down money from heaven, Prayer worriors will be the wealthiest people on earth. All you have to do is be focused in life. Have a dream, pursue the dream. Whilst pursuing that dream, stay sharp and be on the look out for an opportuinity that may come. Life is a risk and a gamble. Bill Gates took a risk by dropping out of school to pursue and uncertainty, today he is filthy rich, many others have also dropped out of the University to pursue a dream (that seemed fool proof then), Today! They have absolutely nothing. The kid who graduated with a third class from my graduating year today works with one of the biggest oil servicing companies in Nigeria and has racked up more experience points than his peers. Not all dreams will be achieved. Not all of us will be successful in life. What worked for Mr. A may not always work for Mr. B.

Whatever you do stay honest in your pursuit. Dont cheat anybody. Work hard. Stay focused, shy away from envy, Stay sharp, always have hope cos In the end, thats all we have..

#BestOfLuck.......

PoliticsRe: 30% Of Children In Northern Nigeria Are Street Beggars – Don by Petraman(m): 4:11pm On Jan 15, 2013
youngies: Thirty per cent of children in the North are street beggars, the Dean of Post-Graduate School, Nigerian Defence Academy, Professor Adam Okene, has said.

Okene also stated that recent research showed that the North-west geo-political zone of the country accounts for 70% of the number of almajirai in the country, most of whom depend on street begging to survive.

Speaking as the chairman of a workshop on street begging in Niger state, organised by the Niger state Law Reform Commission, Okene called for synergy among state governors in the northern part of the country to eradicate the problem of alamajiri and street begging which he said has been accounting for the series of security breaches in this part of the country.

Okene explained that Malaysia and Thailand had worked the path the north is presently toeing but with diligence and political will the two countries had been able to surmount the problem.

He said that more emphasis must be placed on reforms in the North and the country as a whole, insisting that proper education of the citizenry and applicable education will solve the problems the country is presently facing.

While supporting the reform agenda of the Niger state government, Okene said “we need the reform because we have to solve the problems and challenges of the society”.

Delivering a paper titled “Street Begging, Causes and Remedies: An Islamic Perspective”, Dr Ibrahim Husam Imam, Head of Department of Languages, Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna, said that the problems of street begging cannot be resolved without the involvement of Qur’anic teachers who need assistance from government and non-governmental organisations to keep their discipline off the streets.

He stressed the need to set up a committee to train Islamic teachers on the management of almajirai while government should also pursue the integration of the Arabic and western education policy with more vigour

lukaino: Many times we hear women complaining about men not helping out with any of the domestic chores and people are quick to conclude that such men are wicked and insensitive. I think men have reasons for not helping out. Mine for example is that all the times i tried to help out with something, my wife automatically makes it my duty every other time; she'll even remind me when i don't do it. I think one should help out of one's free will. Guys what are your reasons?
Beside this, if u continue helping ur wife, and either ur friend or family see u doing such chores, they'll take u as a fool, dat u've been given charms. Whenever dis happens, u feel embarrassed
