Romance / Re: Who Calls More In Your/a Relationship and why?? by Petraman(m): 1:51pm On Jan 07, 2013 |
Flashaldrin: I dont believe in the norm that a guy should always do most of the calling in a relationship. From a research carried out on this topic, i can boldly say a guy calls more dan girl in a relationship. In a relationship where there is true love, I don't think calling should come from one end, it should be from both end. Our girls need to change their orientation about this. 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: Is Dangote Really The Richest Nigerian??? by Petraman(m): 8:25pm On Jan 06, 2013 |
KnowAll: With the kind of money some of those South-South Governors get on a monthly basis and spend willy-nilly without any checks, restrictions, or restrain, is it not a fallacy to think Dangote is the richest Nigerian? In Lagos, Tinunbu/Fashola and his cronies who have held the commercial heart of Nigeria for 13 years are the God-Fathers of this city that has the reputation of being the 5th largest economy in Africa if it were a country , Do we know what that interprets into in Pence, Cents, Pounds £££, and Dollars$$$$.Yes he's d richest man on paper, but if we look around in this country, we'll see dat many people are richer dan him, not even in d likes of d south-south governors or chiefs, or Tinubu or Fashola in Lagos, let look at some business men who are not educated, but they av this money. So he's not d richest man in Nigeria |

Romance / Re: Things Couples Should Do After Honeymoon by Petraman(m): 1:43pm On Jan 06, 2013 |
[quote author=Ijele-igbo]Happy couples know that the real relationship begins when the honeymoon is over. They know that unless you maintain the garden of love, its beauty will wither and die. In a recent column, you discovered the 10 relationship mistakes to avoid. Now discover the 10 things that happy couples do: 1. Go to bed at the same time. Remember the beginning of your relationship, when you couldn’t wait to go to bed with each other to make love? Happy couples resist the temptation to go to bed at different times. They go to bed at the same time, even if one partner wakes up later to do things while their partner sleeps. 2. Cultivate common interests. After the passion settles down, it’s common to realize that you have few interests in common. But don’t minimize the importance of activities you can do together that you both enjoy. If common interests are not present, happy couples develop them. At the same time, be sure to cultivate interests of your own; this will make you more interesting to your mate and prevent you from appearing too dependent. 3. Walk hand in hand or side by side. Rather than one partner lagging or dragging behind the other, happy couples walk comfortably hand in hand or side by side. They know it’s more important to be with their partner than to see the sights along the way. 4. Make trust and forgiveness your default mode. If and when they have a disagreement or argument, and if they can’t resolve it, happy couples default to trusting and forgiving rather than distrusting and begrudging. 5. Focus more on what your partner does right than what he or she does wrong. If you look for things your partner does wrong, you can always find something. If you look for what he or she does right, you can always find something, too. It all depends on what you want to look for. Happy couples accentuate the positive. 6. Hug each other as soon as you see each other after work. Our skin has a memory of “good touch” (loved), “bad touch” (abused) and “no touch” (neglected). Couples who say hello with a hug keep their skin bathed in the “good touch,” which can inoculate your spirit against anonymity in the world. 7. Say “I love you” and “Have a good day” every morning. This is a great way to buy some patience and tolerance as each partner sets out each day to battle traffic jams, long lines and other annoyances. 8. Say “Good night” every night, regardless of how you feel. This tells your partner that, regardless of how upset you are with him or her, you still want to be in the relationship. It says that what you and your partner have is bigger than any single upsetting incident. 9. Do a “weather” check during the day. Call your partner at home or at work to see how his or her day is going. This is a great way to adjust expectations so that you’re more in sync when you connect after work. For instance, if your partner is having an awful day, it might be unreasonable to expect him or her to be enthusiastic about something good that happened to you. 10. Be proud to be seen with your partner. Happy couples are pleased to be seen together and are often in some kind of affectionate contact — hand on hand or hand on shoulder or knee or back of neck. They are not showing off but rather just saying that they belong with each other. Wow! Good work! How i wish i'm married now to practice all this, but i'm glad i'm still a single now, i still av time to practice all this even before and after my marriage |

Religion / Re: Is Church Attendance Compulsory? by Petraman(m): 1:23pm On Jan 06, 2013 |
From my own point of view, i don't think going to church is that compulsory, but very very necessary and important, cos wen u go to church, and listen to God's word and praise songs, ur faith will be renewed. So, i'll like going to church always, not to look for girls, pastor's mistakes, instrumentalists' mistakes, choir's mistake, etc |

Family / Re: Are Female Children Generous Than Males? by Petraman(m): 2:41pm On Jan 05, 2013 |
Actually, both children av thier own advantages and disadvantages. But wen we are talking about who care for family among female or male child. With many research dat i've done about this, i've come to understand dat female child take a gud care of her parent before and after marriage. For example, if a man is complaining dat he doesn't has much money on him to give his parent, d wife will still know how to remove some amount from d little her husband drop for preparing meal for him. She will now take this money to her parent. Also, before a female child get married, d parent will be at peace wen they travelled and leave d home in care of female child dan make child. |

Nairaland / General / Re: Are You Ready For 2013? Take This Quick Test To Find Out! by Petraman(m): 7:10pm On Jan 04, 2013 |
[quote author=Laila Ikeji]Here, let's see if you are really ready for the year, *winks* The fun of this test is when you do it first time without looking at the answer. So, leggo! Five things are happening in your house at the same time. In which order would you solve them? 1. The telephone is ringing! 2. The baby is crying! 3. Someone's knocking, yelling for you from the front door! 4. You hung the clothes out to dry and it is beginning to rain! 5. You left the tap on in the kitchen and the water is already overflowing! In which sequence would you solve these problems? Write the sequence and check after the cut how your decisions were made. BUT BE HONEST, THE FINDINGS ARE EXCITING. Answer: This test is called the Sigmund Freud's Priorities. Every individual point represents something in your life. 1. Telephone represents Work 2. Baby represents Family 3. Door represents Friends 4. Clothes represent Money 5. Tap represents Sex Your chosen sequence determines the priorities in your life. My answer is 21345 cos if u don't answer d crying baby, u won't be able to receive d call with peace of mind. Also, d person at d door will hear d crying baby, so wen u've carried d baby, u can walk to d door and open d door for d person. About d clothes in d rain, i'll rather leave it there, cos there'll be another sun next day. D over running water in d bathroom is of no use, cos d water can't waste, for it sinks back into d soil. So i'll leave d water flowing |

As for me o, i don't think praying loudly is d best way to get ur prayers answered quickly. I think praying loudly is just dat we're disturbing God, cos d bible made me to understand dat our murmuring is like d sound of a large ocean, talkless of wen we shout. |

Heatblast: Tho I'm not a christian, this was a question that bothered me when I was. When I was little(in a pentecostal church), my sunday school teacher would was always insisting that she must hear us pray out loud(it suposedly made demons scared of us and made god hear our prayers faster)... They would also use this "a shut mouth is a shut destiny" to threaten us.Good one from u. And u said u're not a Christian? |
