CrimeRe: Ann: Nigerian Man Scammed My Heart, My Soul, My Money - American Woman by PhantomXcess: 10:46pm On Jan 31, 2022
If you read well, the supposed fraud started after he realized she lied about her previous marriage status.

It's easy to call someone a fraud or liar. In the real world, you have to come to court and produce evidence that supports your claim.

Someone I know married oyibo:

First week of her arrival:
He spent almost half a million on transportation, lodging and food because Aunty cannot eat or stay at certain places due to fear and class.

Next week:
She kept insisting they buy a car, they would have bought one but she would have to spend the savings she came with by 80%

She eventually was forced to go back as she couldn't keep up with our harsh weather and rowdy environment.

Regards to the visa process;
The situation in the story is quite common from either the man or woman during visa processing. And usually when the lies are revealed, human survival instincts kick in and usually the person from the poorer country seem to always have more to loose, especially if the lies came from the oyibo side. So they may scuffle to keep or get something out of the other person seeing its been a waste of time, energy and money.

Nonetheless, I remember a story of a guy who brought another desperate oyibo here, lived with her for almost 3 yrs and only married her when she threatened to leave, to keep her. Heard he assaulted and abused her and extorted millions of naira from her. When she left, it took the state's intervention.

But then, wait till you hear stories from people who migrated to the states by marriage and started getting abused and assaulted by their spouses. Some got kicked out for no logical reasons.

Heard about a guy whose wife fell in love with another man and they both started living together. The Naija guy arrived US and she couldn't come pick him up at the airport and told him she wasn't interested in the marriage anymore.

So forget, things dey occur.
FamilyRe: My Friend's 11-Year-Old Daughter Steals by PhantomXcess:
Child abuse can make kids do certain unusual child-like things like constant stealing, being peeping-tom, have hyper-sexuality, etc. Africa is too reactionary towards things like this rather than actually figuring out how best to help such people.

Most people who have excesses in their life are using that as a coping mechanism. Some, it is their way of reassuring themselves that they're still in charge or smart or intelligent. But this is mostly because people or someone in their life constantly told them they're not smart, or beat them or used their bodies without their consent for sexual pleasure.

Eventually the child will stop stealing, but only if she gets real therapy or if she finds another way to cope.
FamilyRe: I Resigned From Work In Lagos, Relocated To Abuja To Be With My Girl & Get A Job by PhantomXcess: 4:53pm On Mar 21, 2021
What is it about doing domestic chores or helping your partner do laundry or clean that makes African men feel they're less human. If you don't plan to improve or help your significant other, why not break up with them and move out to a place where you can do only your chores and help only yourself.

But, a job won't automatically make you stop doing chores or helping your SO. It wont automatically make her start doing hers. You should actually discuss this with her and ask her to pick days she can help with chores while you make it clear that you will commit those days to intensifying your job search or learning extra relevant job skills. Nurture your partnership and grow together.

It's a WE thing not a YOU thing. See things differently man. Blessings

FamilyRe: I Disowned My Mother by PhantomXcess: 3:34pm On Mar 05, 2021
The same force driving the hate you identify in your mom is what is pushing you to consider this. Please, give her the required break and show your wife the love she needs at this time.

We all have to learn that time isn't linear. What you are experiencing today won't be same a few years later so don't make a permanent decision on temporary situations.

Sometimes we wish certain people in our lives can do better or be better, but if only we see the real reason driving people to act the way they do, we would react differently.

It might be very hard to do, but intentionally act like this never happened and focus on loving your wife. Respect your wife's hurt by fully siding with her and showing her love, avoid bringing it up again. Don't defend your mom but don't also help the force of hate driving her to push you all away.

As for your brother, be-careful of people like him. There's so much he needs to learn about conflict management. He escalated this by recording and telling you a such a private conversation in a time of hurt, pain and mourning.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Thank goodness your wife is alive, she will recover and you will have children when the time is right. Please don't allow anything or anyone deplete your love, you need it to console your woman. Take her on a trip or something. You all will be fine.

Francis609:
My wife gave birth in November but we lost the baby 2 days after. What shocked me was when my younger brother sent me a voice message of what they had discussed about my wife and my mum was not remorseful, she said she is not happy that the baby has died she wish it was my wife that died in the process and the innocent baby lives , he recorded her without her knowledge because he didn't like what she was saying.

I immediately called her and play the voice, I taught she will be sorry for what she said, she didn't give a damn. She said she is not an hypocrite, she never like my wife and she can't pretend. I cut the phone with a broken heart even taught she never like my wife she could have at least show forget about the hatred and show her some love in this difficult situation.
My step mother has been taken care of my wife I am grateful , my mum has never bothered to call to know about her health and I haven't call her either. I disowned her. I don't hate her but I don't want nothing to do with her anymore because she is a disgrace to womanhood.

Please advice me if am I in the wrong
TravelNL Thread Or FB Group Where I Can Find US Travelers To Help Bring Items For Me? by PhantomXcess(op):
Greetings everyone.

Please, I am seriously looking for a Nairaland Thread or Facebook group where I can find frequent travelers who might be willing to bring stuff back from the U.S. for me for a small fee. Custom legal stuff like personal items, edibles and electronic gadgets or books.

Kinda like a P2P delivery community for Nigerians. Most of what I found on FB is for Indians

Please MODs, I would appreciate if this can get to front page for maximum visibility for vital responses. Thanks

is Bible relevant or still important today? yes according 2 Timothy 3 16 say all scripture are in spire of God and beneficial for teaching for reproving for setting things straight for discipline in righteousness so that the man of God may be fully competent completely equipped for every good work yes bible is very important today
Lol. Although i agree the bible is important. But the bible is not scripture, its a book about the experience of men with God and creation, it contains scriptures but it is not scriptures in it's entirety!

2 Timothy 3:16 alone proves that the bible is not scriptures, else, what bible what Timothy referring to at the time he said that? Cos that verse is only recording what Timothy said in their day, but has become a book for us to read!

How do you fight a virus with 100k test kits & health worker PPEs?

Sounds more like you want to increase figures of testing & cases.

No one is asking or checking whether the test kits are clean and not infected anymore. We are just using it.

If you want to fight the virus, also send treatment drugs that are used to reduce viral loads, either the existing ones like Remdesivir, HCQ, Dexamethasone, etc, or immunity boosting drugs.

One of the things we don't understand is that as long as the western economies are on pause, they'd do everything to make sure African economies are on pause too.

We have seen how the virus respects protests and other political gatherings all over the world with "health experts" supporting and endorsing these gatherings.

If asymptomatic people cannot spread the virus, it means herd immunity or at least individual immunity will help defeat the virus and it also means it is not worth locking down.

We cannot continue to stress the negative effects this lockdown has resulted it.

Open everywhere and mandate social distancing and masks. We are more than conquerors abeg.
PoliticsRe: Army Reacts To Borno, Katsina Attack: 'We’ll Punish Those Behind These Killings’ by PhantomXcess: 9:29pm On Jun 11, 2020
Just a play of words. Read between the lines. No specificity of the actions and results we should get. Also avoided calling them terrorists(suspected? Really?), avoided saying they will kill or arrest them and basically gave us the explanation of who these men are.

We know that it is impossible that these men are bandits. You don't raid poor villages with military grade costly weapons just to collect animals and crops and kill them afterwards. There is something they are warding people from and it is valuable enough to cost a few lives every now and then.

A few months ago Chad almost eradicated these men to the point that we heard they were about to surrender. Shortly after, we hear top military officers are going to where these men are to totally decapitate them. Then news of active killings started again.

I posted about this(see below) days ago on another thread regarding Kogi state stance on this matter. Viruses are not new. Either greed or irresponsibility is making us have new strains every few years and thus, having FGs of countries spend billions to tackle it. The guys who receive these monies are the ones that will defend the ideas the most, same as things like climate and education, but that's another subject.

Valid points. I personally like that Lagos state government has been on top of this matter. I also applaud NCDC's effectiveness but we need better efficiency.
It has been cited that people who get flu vaccine can test positive for the typical flu because a vaccine contains an inactive version of the flu itself. This also means that if someone got infected and recovered without being tested, they can test positive to the flu.

It is said to be the same case with Covid-19 too. Reports showed that recovered patients tested positive again but for an inactive type of the virus that their immune system or treatment drugs killed. Now, with that in mind and also our clingy non-social-distance way of life in Africa, it will make sense that a lot of people would have caught this virus and recovered using self medication or a change in diet.
If so, you will find many positives, but almost no symptom and may never have symptom, and if not studied properly, could be the false-positives we hear about or just the inactive virus in their bodies.

Some reports even revealed that certain countries were finding anti-bodies for Covid-19 in people not tested or who tested negative.

This is my angle here. If all i mentioned above are true as fact-checked to be, why is the country not opening SAFELY and why are we not diverting resources to treatment procedures and educating people to boost their immune system which going outside too helps?

Because, if we are just focused on testing and saying if the cases go up, we will lock down again, then, we are certainly not handling this effectively and efficiently.

There is currently a thread on front page right now where people are admitting that they've had one or more symptoms of Covid-19 in the past few weeks and have gotten better. These are also similar symptoms of Malaria and Typhoid too but most people are thinking its the new virus and that is because media information these days are only on the virus. So that's why i said media has to properly report things for a balance of truth.

I get your point. Govt communicating with it's people has been a perennial problem in our country. That's one thing I like about Gov. Sanwo-Olu's govt...they engage with the people. The phone number on their Facebook page quickly responds to queries. I have engaged them a number of times. I will still do so today as per their plans to open schools and religious centres vis-a-vis the highest single day record of new cases yesterday (256 cases yesterday).

Watch TVC News... they are reporting it round the clock. They're doing a lot of investigative journalism. They had a special report recently where their reporter, Adedoja Salam-Adeniyi was granted special access to the Infectious Diseases hospital at Yaba, Lagos. They took her round the facility, she was able to interview 2 patients, though from a safe distance, with a boom microphone, she spoke with the health workers and the commissioner of health. I watched it. You can check it out on their website or through Google. For international news, CNN covers the pandemic very well.

Did you really say that out of your mind?

So Abba Kyari just decided to die as a Martyr from a so-called Corona virus? What about the recently installed Emir of Rano? He also decided to die so as to help NCDC's "lies" about the Corona virus?

Some Nigerians will never cease to amaze me on the way they reason and the extent they think govt can just decide to lie.

Do you know how much Nigeria has lost in revenue as a result of the shutdown in the economy? How much did they get from the WHO, EU, CACOVID as monetary assistance compared to what they have lost in revenue due to the shutdown?
Lagos made N280 billion in Q1 (3 months) of 2020. The economy was shutdown for April and a large part of May 2020.. that's about 1 and a half months. How much has Lagos received from FG and CACOVID since the pandemic started? Is it up to N20-30 billion? Compare this to how much they would have made from revenue within 1.5 months - about N150 billion.

If Corona virus is really a scam or farce, is it not foolish to shutdown your economy that would bring in N150 billion in revenue because of N20 billion from donors to fight an "Audio" virus?
What about their children that have not gone to school all this while? What do they gain by keeping them at home?

It's extremely laughable to think govt would do the above.

Oga, I know that many believe that our government tells lies and many Nigerians do not trust them but there's absolutely no sense in lying and locking down because of a non-existent Corona virus.

The virus is real and existent in Nigeria...take it or leave it.
You're right. The virus is real, but is it so deadly as promoted to validate months of shutdown? NO!
Look at the figures, of confirmed cases, and ask yourself, if all those people are isolated, it will take far more money to treat and take care of them than the country is loosing. So are the individuals being informed that they tested positive? Or are they unknowingly infecting others around them pending when they hear back from the lab/NCDC? We have to keep asking questions. If you can't carry us along and entertain our questions, how do we know you're working for us or against us?

The media is not even reporting this pandemic properly.
HealthRe: We Are Still COVID-19 Free - Kogi Government Insists by PhantomXcess: 11:55am On May 28, 2020
Let me give you guys contexts.

Ebonyi Governor during a live broadcast stated that all the Covid-19 cases they have recorded so far has not shown even a symptom.

In a context, this means that they(those that tested positive) wouldn't necessarily consider themselves sick suggesting the virus isn't as deadly as promoted by foreign media. Also remember the above statement was recently made and the first cases were almost a month ago.

Another context is how factual reports during the early days revealed that test kits were infected or contaminated with the virus itself. Did we dump the kits and got new ones or did we continue to use them?

Another context is that the above context suggests that Stay-At-Home and Lockdown orders were not necessary or effective. This can be proven by the number of cases rising in most locked down states.
Something to note is, Lagos locked down to curb spread, but later opened the market at periodic times for instance, the 10am to 2pm market hours. Scientifically, you would want to reduce the number of people going to the market at one time but a 4 hour market schedule compels thousands if not millions of people to visit at the same time so they can buy before closure thereby making the entire schedule "peak hours".
This increases the risk of spread as everyone is out at the same time and contact tracing will even be harder to achieve. If the market never closed, people will follow their routine market days and time and that would reduce the number of people in a market at a time. I know this because i never go to the local foodstuff market during peak hours(evening when everyone is back from work).

Another context is that if Lagos cases are true, there should be hospitalizations or isolation of these cases. Isolating over 3k people require serious skilled man power ranging from medics to security personnel. And I don't think Lagos has such capabilities and if they did, we would have seen or heard about it in dynamic ways.
Also think about this, testing centers receive tests samples from either suspected case walk-ins or from medical stations, so this would mean that for every case tested positive, there will be a team sent to isolate the case. You would know if this is happening and i haven't seen, maybe someone can show pointers.

So, are the positive cases individuals being informed and are they being isolated properly? Reports from New York and some other US states revealed that most deaths and positive cases were coming from cases in nursing homes and people who stayed at home.
Some of those reports revealed that health authorities instructed that these positive cases be put in nursing homes with negative cases but people with other serious health issues.
Some reports showed also that the federal funding structure for fighting the pandemic incentivized hospitals to allow for high mortality rates. In plain words; Hospitals get $$ when they test for a case, $$$ increases when they confirm a positive case, then more $$$$ when they hospitalize a case, then even much more $$$$$ when the case gets serious enough to use a ventilator, then very much much more $$$$$$ when a positive case individual dies. How do you fight a pandemic with such a model?
There were widespread reports that people stopped going to hospitals which caused some hospitals to furlough workers, people are scared to go get a test because they heard that positive cases were not being treated until it gets worse so hospitals can make more money, secrecy everywhere and social media taking down anything going against the fear narrative.

Now, while i sincerely believe the NCDC numbers are close to reality, i don't believe the measures put in place to tackle this virus are necessarily effective. In short, i believe more resources should have been focused on building faster test kits or test models. And i also believe clinical trials should have started long ago to determine which drugs can treat or cure the virus.

We sometimes underestimate the survival push of man and believe that placing rules and laws and enforcing them is enough to run a state properly. We have to stop playing and solve this issue on all fronts. How much will an international body give us that the government are willing to mess up the economy for? A bird at hand is the only bird o, nothing dey bush! I repeat, nothing dey bush!

The country should fully open back up SAFELY. But we should never make the mistake of jeopardizing our economy to look good in the eyes of the international community, they don't live here, we do. Their governments are bailing out their businesses with trillions of $$, we are not.

Lastly, it is foolish to try to make a governor look bad by saying he's playing with the health of his people when Nigeria is a country that its people never play with death. If people were dying in unusual numbers in Kogi, social media is not censored there, people will raise alarms all over. If Kogi truly don't have their health affairs in order, someone or some people within the government or healthcare will have spoken up. I cannot possibly believe that all of a sudden, PDP and APC members in the state are working together to save the governor's reputation on his decision especially when the health decisions are made by the health experts in the state.

Remember my first sentence; Ebonyi said their positive cases are yet to show a symptom since they were confirmed positive.
CelebritiesRe: Cynthia Morgan Reacts To Jude Okoye's Interview, Clarifies Contract, Issues by PhantomXcess: 11:11am On May 27, 2020
Jude is not a very prudent business leader. He should know that Cynthia doesn't have the contract again and thus doesn't know what's written in it, that's why she was scared to use her label name and acting all controversial. Now, they've got him to release the contract and she has seen in the details that he is probably violating certain terms in it too. We always make the mistake to pity people who are down by coming down to their level to relate with them forgetting that they are down because they choose to be there through their actions and decisions. We don't rise by lifting others, we lift others because we have risen. Jesus said "the poor you will always have with you" and this means that you must work hard to never fulfill that prophecy in your life. There are no sentiments in business. I won't be expense-happy to throw millions into your act if you don't show star quality. The process of success is the same everywhere and if an artist doesn't want to work hard, they don't deserve any profit. Its called PROFITABILITY because people invest in your profit-ability.

Christianity EtcRe: What Do Jesus Mean By "No One Comes To The Father Except THROUGH Me." by PhantomXcess:
I will try to keep it short.

The revelation of Jesus Christ being the Way to God has been grossly mis-taught and misunderstood. I also used to wonder that if this is true, why do other religions who deny Jesus as a way to God still experience God's grace and mercy. Until i studied the person of Jesus Christ.

Apostle John captured it best in the first chapter of his gospel John 1: 1-18.

John 1 King James Version (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Jesus Christ is God's WORD! So what he meant is, "No one can have access to the Father except through God's WORD".

So when he said "no one comes unto the Father except through him", he was talking to the Jews who try to gain God's approval through their works by keeping the laws of Moses and doing the many sanctimonious activities to attain righteousness.

Apostle Paul explained it further in Romans 10: 1-17

Romans 10 King James Version (KJV)
1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from abovesmiley
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Now these scriptures, with the emphasis on the ones in bold explain to you the personality of Jesus Christ. He is the WORD of God. This WORD of God is available to all men and you don't become a Christian or Muslim when you believe God's WORD. That's religion. Religion is structured for control and not for your growth. When you believe God's WORD, you become RIGHTEOUS. The significance of calling the WORD of God by the name Jesus Christ is to establish that he was the first begotten who revealed the almighty God as a Father to the world. To further show that the name "Jesus" wasn't necessarily what we should be bent on, the scriptures then revealed this:

Philippians 2:9-11 King James Version (KJV)
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

This scripture shows that God gave Jesus an even higher name.... He didn't reveal this most powerful name so that religion or man will not have a field day with it... This is why the verse 10 said, " that 'at' the name of Jesus..." not "at the mention of the name Jesus"... every knee bows.
This means, "when anything encounter this name"... The WORD of God prevails to the glory of the God the Father.

So in short:

"No one comes unto the Father, except through his WORD". His word is in your heart and in your mouth. You don't need a religion to come to him. You just open your heart and your mouth and say "Dear Father, i recognize the authority of your WORD, reveal to me your wisdom, your power and your light".

You don't have to say the specific words i put up there. He is all knowing and understands your heart even better than you. But you must recognize his WORD to have a relationship with Him as your Father.

Your life will change for good. Sha don't start another religion when you experience his light like others did. Use that light to love, bless and help your neighbor. Shalom

This is nice but I would have love if answers or links to answers to those questions were provided.
I don't know if you are aware of creation.com of Creation Ministries International
Thank you.
Answers to which questions? The ones I asked in my reply? If yes, well, it really begins with you pondering on them. I gave clues as how to answer those questions in the same reply. The point in trying to get a reader to see is that there is more to the message of heaven and hell and destruction of the earth and people burning in fire.

And no, I have never heard of or visited creation.com. What is the site about?

Terribly flawed teaching!

If you want to understand God's Word and rightly apply it, you must be a critical and logical reasoning person.

It is called "rightly dividing the word of truth".

What is the meaning of life without death? How do you know you're in peace if you have not seen chaos or troubles? What is heaven without an earth? How would you know paradise if there is no hell? What's a God without his creation and subjects?

Remember this lyrics:
Human beings in a mob
What's a mob to a king?
What's a king to a God?
What's a God to a non-believer
Who don't believe in anything?

I'll continue asking:

If we were all born blind, how can you tell that we can't see? If there's no light, how would you know it's dark? Can good exist without evil? How would you know it's good? If there was only right, how would you tell what's wrong? Because it all becomes tasteless! It all becomes plain! But then you still won't know it is all tasteless and plain because none of it exists!

See, growing in fellowship with God is not for simple minded people who just run with everything they're told without understanding it. It doesn't mean you question God's word but you must study properly to understand what was really said, why it was said and who it was said to and when it is expected to happen.

I'm not gonna dive into explaining Matthew 24, 1Thess and Revelation right now. Maybe I would on a later date. But I will say this;

To understand God's will and purpose, you have to begin from Genesis. Why was man created? Why was the world created? Why did God bother creating in the first place?

Then you have to ask, who is God? Who made him God? How did he become God? Why is he God? And why is he also called Lord? Let me drop a little hint here: We only agree and believe he is God because he created all things including us, which means he existed before all things were made. Dictionary defines God as "Supreme Being" which means no one or nothing can stand him or his authority.

Revelation 4:11 says
"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for THY PLEASURE they are and were CREATED".... Before then, it was all plain and tasteless!

If you study creation logically, you will be able to reason and ask why did God say he saw that everything he created was GOOD when there was clearly a tree of knowledge of good and EVIL? This tree is the reason man was considered a failure and sin. This tree was man's downfall and death.

Is God mischievous to deny the existence of evil in his creation? Did he willing make man curious of this same tree and told him he will die if he eats it? What is DEATH? Is it a good or bad thing? Why did Adam and Eve not die when they ate it? Why did the Bible admit that the serpent was right? As he said when they eat the fruit, they will become like God and God rightly admitted that man has become like him now, which led to them being banned from the garden so they don't eat the tree of life. Also didn't God say "let's make man in our image and likeness?" Didn't he keep to his word? So many questions!

But it is the glory of God to hide a matter and the honor of kings to search and reveal it. A king is someone who rules, who makes decrees and it is carried out, who has authority over others. So will you patiently grow in this journey of godliness(mighty rulership and power) or will you chicken out and live a simple life like a servant and be subject to other kings(principalities and powers) who know these secrets of life?

There was NEVER supposed to be religion. And to God, religion still doesn't EXIST!

Quick question, can ur US spouse apply to get a Nigerian international Passport? Same way we can go to passport office n apply (both share same last name)
To become a naturalized citizen(whether through marriage or work), you'd need to have been a permanent resident of Nigeria for 10 years and at least can speak one of the major languages (not necessarily fluently) before applying.

Regarding a foreign spouse, the permanent residency immigration option for foreign spouses are called "Niger wife"(I know, patriarchy), it might be due to the dominant fact that it was mostly foreign wives that wanted to visit their Nigerian husband's due to male home ties. It probably was never a time a foreign husband wanted to come live with his wife in Nigeria. They mostly just visit.

Anyways, before, all you needed to do was to apply for a "Niger wife ID card" which automatically grants a foreign wife permanent residency in Nigeria for 10 years. It's kinda like the marriage green card process of the US IR1.

All you needed to submit was your marriage certificate and some pictures to proof the relationship. Then in some cases, you might be required to come in physically for a short interview.

However, the process changed as at 2018 or even earlier.

The new process is that your foreign spouse(either male or female now) will have to obtain an "STR Visa" after your marriage and when they arrive the country, you can apply to the NIS HQ in Abuja for a visa regularization by marriage. When the process is done, he/she will receive the new CERPAC document which is the 10 years permanent residency. After the 10 years, they can file for a Nigerian passport(it might be lesser years now).

Does anyone know how one can roam an mtn Naija number from overseas? Typically before one leaves Naija it’s usually adviced that one sets up roaming. But in a case where this wasn’t done how can one figure out this roaming issue from the USA? We put on the Naija mtn phone yesterday and couldn’t find any signal at all here in the US?
You'd have to call their customer service and tell them the state and city you're travelling to so they can confirm if they have partner telecoms company there. If you have already traveled and can't find service, it probably means they don't have a telecoms partner in the area, city or state that you're in. The way roaming work is: Your service provider partners with another service provider in a foreign country in certain areas of coverage, so when you travel, your phone automatically gets registered on that partner network and you can make calls or use data services. Your service provider eventually bills you way higher than when in your country and they settle with their partners. If you're already there and the sim doesn't work, you can have someone in Nigeria help you call their customer service on your behalf and find out if they have a partner network providers there. But if you need the sim for maybe banking services, best to use online or card services.
Christianity EtcRe: Was Man Created To Live Forever Or Not? by PhantomXcess: 11:12pm On Apr 03, 2020
Wow! Great reasoning! This is how you uncover mysteries and receive revelations!

Anyways, i'll start by helping you fix this part (as that is the reason why you're seeing this contradiction)

What we can extrapolate from this therefore is that if Adam and Eve had not fallen, man would probably have lived forever.

Man would have not lived forever if they they had not fallen. "Man would need to eat the tree of life to live forever!" Mind you, the word "tree" was used loosely all over the bible(but that's another subject).

So, yea, when God made man, he didn't say they would live forever, he said they would function like us and look like us. But, as God wanted man to live forever, he instructed him to eat of every tree in the garden(including the tree of life), except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which brings death. If man obeyed, they obviously would have lived, but to live forever, they'd have to eat from the tree of life which would have been inevitable as Adam was ready to do what God instructed. There is an in-popular theological notion that God would have finally allowed them to eat the forbidden fruit after they had eaten the tree of life.

That said, it is important to note that the Tree of life is God's word. And we see apostle John break it down for us in his first chapter of his gospel by showing us that Jesus is the word of God made flesh. This is why believing in him puts one in a legal right to eternal life. Jesus also expressed this during his temptation in the wilderness where he told the devil what Adam and Eve should have told the serpent; he said "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of God's mouth." This expression was originally said by Moses to Israel, but the significance of it, is that it shows us that man was made to live (both spiritually and physically) by accepting and believing God's word to be final.

To address the issue of overpopulation, it is important to note that the evidence of other galaxies and planets show that God didn't only create this earth. And as a matter of revelation, the word "earth" here meant "matter"(physics). I sincerely believe that we are behind schedule in human development and evolution, that's why we are worried about overpopulation and all other things you frequently hear about. This is largely because of individual and corporate greed. There are so many inventions that can improve lives drastically but are usually shut down if they can't be monetized or if they will de-monitize existing inventions and solutions. But that's another subject too.

To summarize:

The type of man and life God wanted us to live was manifested in and by Jesus on earth. A life in which you are in absolute control over all circumstances and situations("subdue the earth, have dominion over all things created" Gen 1:28). And regarding life and death, Jesus said "No one takes my life from me. I give it up willingly! I have the power to give it up and the power to receive it back again, just as my Father commanded me to do." (John10:18 CEV).

The word of God(not the bible, but the spirit inspired statements and instructions in it and the words spoken to you by the Holy Spirit in you), when you receive it and act on it, you'd always receive the result of what it talks about. For instance: When God said, "life and death are in the tongue", you don't argue this, you act on it by speaking which you desire, either life or death.

God has shown that his plan is to be our Father. This means that we get to enjoy the privileges of being his sons(sons here doesn't mean gender, but position and identity). Jesus showed us how sons of God live their lives. He is the example that we follow, so we read about his life and exploits and apply it accordingly to our own lives. This is why people who are doing this are called Christians(Christ-Like) because he was the first begotten son, the first to do it.

I pray that the Father God grant you more understanding of his word as you uncover his truth and light! Bless up!

Sheikwonder:
Hi everyone,

It's been quite a long time since I posted stuff here. Anyway while doing some chores today a thought crossed my mind and I will share it here. I'm open to debate from religious and irreligious folks alike. Here we go:

If you're a Christian, you're probably familiar with some of the fantastic stories in Genesis such as the Tower of Babel, The Great Deluge, The Talking Serpent, and so on. I will however limit the scope of this thread to one particular story and it revolves around events that took place in the Garden of Eden.

The Bible tells us that death came to the world through sin. Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages of sin is death and the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus. What we can extrapolate from this therefore is that if Adam and Eve had not fallen, man would probably have lived forever. Yet this raises questions as well as contradictions which I'll explain below.

The first obvious challenge is that if man lives forever there would be the issue of overpopulation to deal with. According to some estimates, the total number of humans who have ever lived on earth is in excess of 110 billion! So imagine a world today with at least 110 billion people in it who simply would not die. The earth doesn't have the resources to cater for that staggering number.

Let's move on to another issue. After they had sinned and just before they got banished from the garden, Genesis 3:22 tells us something interesting:

"Then the Lord God said, 'Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever".

The above verse presents a contradiction. On the one hand we're made to believe from the Bible that death only came about through sin, hence no sin, no death and man lives forever. But in the verse above it appears that man was never designed to live forever anyway. Which was why God banished man from the garden so that he won't eat of the tree of life. So I'm a little confused. Was man created to live forever initially? If yes, what then was the point of having the tree of life? If no, and man was meant to die, why blame man for sinning when he was always going to die anyway, whether he sinned or not?

I hope I've made my case clear. Anyone who can shed light on this is appreciated. Thank you.
