We shouldn't be mocking people on this wonderful thread. Every one has a reason why he is holding on to a stock or selling.
Remember, we see differently.
For us to come here and start mocking at people who haven't sold their stake in Skye Bank is unbecoming and not characteristic of investors.

Let's be our brothers keeper. Nobody plays to lose.

ExLaidback:
A situation where the State govt or FG/CBN is too willing to rescue a mismanaged and potentially distressed bank without imposing very stiff sanctions on the execu-thieves does not bode well for our banking industry. It may come across as an invitation to bank execs to toy with depositors funds and take unnecessary risks. Personally I find Emiefele too frigging weak and maybe even complicit

$$$
You are talking sense.
Some one up the thread is telling it is because Skye is a systemically important bank. SIB kehuh?. There is more going on in that bank than we know.

Skye Bank gets CBN’s loan to boost liquidity

The short-term lending facility will allow the new management to “ensure that some withdrawals it suffered in the wake of the undue panic of last week do not adversely affect its operations,’’ Isaac Okorafor, a spokesman for the CBN told Bloomberg.
I think some people in govt have interest in this bank. The way things have been working for Skye lately is just suspicious.

If the exam wasn't tough for the class I bet we would not have seen this question paper.
So ask yourself, why didn't they post previous papers here?
Some of us are pretending to be lawyers and claiming to be very intelligent behind your keyboard.

If you finished from a good Nigerian school, u would know that there are times you prepare very well for a particular exam but the lecturer(s) will just come out and shock everybody including the scholars in the class.
I have experienced such situations.

So let's come down from our high horses and try to find out how those final year Law students really performed in the exam.

The fundamentals of Trans-national Express Plc looks good. No wonder there trade volume surged today.
Seems like it is worth considering.
Who is on Trans bus already?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by PharmAlfred: 4:17pm On Jul 11, 2016
Hello house,
Please does any one have more information on what is going on at Transcorp Plc. The stock is consistently going south. Transcorp doesn't seem to have a bad outlook considering it fundamentals. Or is it just sheer sentiment that is not in its favour. Any info would be appreciated.
HealthRe: You Are Not Doctors! Nigerian Man Who Nearly Died From Error Blasts Pharmacists by PharmAlfred: 7:13pm On Jul 10, 2016
I hope this helps.
HealthRe: You Are Not Doctors! Nigerian Man Who Nearly Died From Error Blasts Pharmacists by PharmAlfred: 5:36pm On Jul 10, 2016
I think the major problem is that many people do not have the facts of the case. We all immediately jumped into our judgement and conclusion mode and started bashing the pharmacists.

For the records, the young man did not go the pharmacy with a prescription.
I sympathize with him and I hope the Adverse Drug Reaction has been duly reported.

Before he rushed to the media, he should have done some background check and besides, he claims his parents are both medical doctors. They should have known better to educate their son about idiosyncratic reaction or adverse drug reactions.

He asked for Ciprofloxacin and was given Azithromycin. And Azithromycin is truly better for the condition he complained of. Azithromycin has even proven to be useful in treating asthma.

all the information, you need on Azithromycin is just Google away.

EVILFOREST:
Good morning..
To Well meaning Nigerians.. .
It baffles me when a pharmacist equates him or herself to a Medical Doctor.. .
They should equate themselves to NATIVE DOCTORS before going to the Medical Doctors.

A truthful NIGERIAN PHARMACIST had intentions of studying MEDICINE and SURGERY ab initio....
Even the PHARMACISTS want their kids to study MEDICINE
Most FEMALE PHARMACISTS want to get married to the Medical Doctors, which is their utmost priority.
I think the earlier Medical Doctors start proposing to them, the more interesting the situation becomes.
PHARMACISTS rush their wives, husbands, kids and Parents to the Medical Doctors (Hospitals) in times of Emergency.
So why don't they manage them at homes, factories or pharmacy retail outlets..and watch out for recovery. .. ?
Since u are better than the Medical Doctors, then follow my instructions as stated above..
grin grin grin
So what's all these nonsense ..?
Pls can you try something else. We have heard this before.

He can offer anoda brand quite alright and anyone can adversely react 2 any drug ,bt in ds case d drug in question (d particular drug he offered) had a known contraindication wc I expect him 2 knw as a pharmacist, buh he didn't do d needful by asking a question shld hv askd b4 giving d dude d drug...If u cm 4rm d angle dt he is jes human n is prone 2 mistks(maybe he forgot 2 ask d pertinent question),its understandable...Wot i don't agree wt, is trying 2 shift blames (eg "its not his fault,d dude shld hv told him he had asthma, bla bla bla..." )
Pls, educate me on the reaction to Azithromycin.
After that, I will send you materials on where Azithromycin has proven useful to asthma patients. This is obviously an idiosyncratic reaction which the pharmacist is not responsible.
And for the records, macrolides are the preferred choice for respiratory tract infection especially cough in relation to the Floroquinolones

I am now a quack for insisting on verifying my own prescription. I have never seen an MD claiming to be a pharmacist but most pharmacists surreptitiously claim to doctors. I don't know who the quacks are?
Hello sir/ma. So you don't know pharmacists could be called Doctors. I think I have a problem with your education. Pls Check or read up on the Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD). Pls, for the fact that you are a professional, refrain from making this kind of comment.

I can send you materials on this if you are interested. Above all, make your personal research. Thank you.
EducationRe: Difference Between State University And Federal University by PharmAlfred: 7:41pm On Jul 07, 2016
My position on this: Truth is, on most inidices, Fed Unis are way ahead of State Unis, but in d end it boils down to what you are doing or do with your life.

Why do I say this? You r going to find d Harvard, Cambridge, Uniben, Unilag etc grads employed by Delsu or Imsu grad and the other way round too.

Employers of Labour can also have their bias for grads of some Fed Unis.

For a prospective undergraduate desirous of a very dynamic, robust cultural mix, balanced exposure, networking experiencing etc, then you have got to start hunting for a Fed Uni. Uniben, Unilag, UI,OAU,UNN, ABU, Unilorin would not be a bad idea for u.

From personal observations, the NSE doesn't follow any pattern. Just sentiments.
I like couple of guys here who have been really honest. The truth is that, your investment style will always be revealed when you write or advice ppl.

Above all, this is a great community. It hurts to know that a lot of people have shares but don't even what is going on the market or in their companies.

You guys have derailed the thread with your tribal fights.
We should be marketing Delta State. It is a great place with great people. The state has a lot of potentials and has arguably the most educated people on the face of Nigeria.

Most of the leading entertainers, sports men, technocrats, both home and abroad are from Delta State.

On the 'National Scale' Delta State weighs so big.
Am always proud to mention Delta as my state of origin when am asked and most times I see the admiration on people's faces too when they learn that am from Delta.

Let's talk the positives about our beloved state.

I have never been this moved or touched by a story. Those guys deserve to be celebrated and honoured. One in his teen and others in their early 20s could pull off a show of that magnitude. That's bravery at its peak.
Now some of us are calling it terrorism.

Am sure most of here are in our late 20s, early and late 30s. What have you done for this country?
Is there a chance that you could become the president or the governor of a state at 35?
We all hide behind keyboards and type whatever pleases us. Think! Think!! Think!!!

From my observation of the NSE, it seems fundamentals rarely work. I think it is largely about sentiment and perception. Investors tend to go with the tide. People hardly consider intrinsic values. Some unpopular stocks seem to have good value but would never get off the ground because sentiment isn't in their favour.

I wouldn't be surprise if Oando start surging even without a fantastic result for a long time now.
