PropertiesRe: Of Non-academic Students, Inflation, And Profiling In Abraka by Pharoh: 4:22pm On Jul 04, 2019
This is an interesting exposure and one that i am very concerned about as a Delta State citizen. I once asked someone about the hostel situation in relation to Delsu if there is demand for private hostels. I wanted to setup one in Obiaruku and run a shuttle service from there to the school ( people take bike i heard ). Now hearing now about the cult and armed robbery issue is disappointing. One way of providing housing for student and staff is to provide low cost apartment within the school premises.

Another way it is being done in some developed countries is to setup a housing company ( non-profit ) for that city or LGA alone. The housing company will go into agreement with the school and the city or local government to provide housing for school students and staffs only. As a student you will never see any housing offer cheaper than the one provided for students by that housing company in that city or LGA. The school sends student status once every year to the housing company so they don't need to run around for verification of student status. The situation in Delsu seems to be every man to him or herself so it will always be open for exploitation and profit oriented.

CrimeRe: Nigeria Loses N3.133trn To Cybercrime Annually — NITDA DG by Pharoh: 8:29am On Jun 19, 2019
Doyin2:
Very misleading headline.

What was suggested to be lost annually to cyber crime is N127b,whilst over N3trillion is lost to stiff software competition from foreign companies.

A blogger cannot make it with deliberate misinformation.
The money lost to foreign software should be our concern and not the cyber crime angle and i don't know why all these idiots are not seeing it. Seriously we do not know how to patronize each other for business and tomorrow we will be crying their are no jobs. I think they should start with little industries or less complicated software's. I mean schools, hotels and small businesses should patronize local software developers but i don't think that is where we loose money most. I kind of think we loose money in the financial sectors like the banks licensing software's from oracle, Microsoft etc. Also all these government MDA's also pay big money for softwares and also private or multinationals who will rather contract purchase foreign software. There is money in ICT and Nigeria needs to participate in it, we should embrace linux and opensource software more except for areas where the likes of microsoft give out free softwares like schools.

Like I said we are not operating on the same lane tonight.....I'm saying something else.....u are processing it as something else....I didn't even say anything close to u what u just assume...
so keep looking for who will share the positions of the nation equally btw men and women....since all the men there ddnt fight for their position...they just got it because they all have a pen!s
I think she is talking about ministerial positions, commissioners, heads of MDA and ambassadors or national assembly positions and not the usual elective positions. I don't think she is referring to elective positions because they do not have a point for that as there is no law discriminating against that. I prefer people are appointed by merit but you know united nations is pushing this 30 percent of a thing in government and its already creeping into the private sector as well.

There is existing laws on access to seas by inland Rivers it's UN laws and it's clear and when Biafra comes up it would be activated ...don't worry read this link https://www.un.org/depts/los/convention_agreements/texts/unclos/part2.htm
Thanks I have seen the part you showed and also the part relating to innocent passage of ships. I was actually referring to part 10 of that same document concerning transit goods. I think these convention in addition to whatever Ecowas and AU have is favourable to future landlocked biafra. I would have preferred though if biafra pursues a non import dependent economic development. So that they would have restricted their import dependence to raw materials and industrial goods.

Eritea is currently begging Ethiopia to come use their seaport because nearby nations are gaining with their partnership with Ethiopia. Moreover the United nations is currently working on a resolution and treaty concerning access to the sea for landlocked countries.
TravelRe: Rail Passenger Traffic Dropped In Q1 2019, Says NBS by Pharoh: 11:23pm On Jun 01, 2019
Blue3k:
At least the revenue is up for both cargo and passenger rail. I dont see why cargo rail is dropping by 20% considering how bad roads are. That should be explained and remedied. Its weird passager traffic generates more revenue than cargo. I heard its the opposite in most countries. The government also subsidizes passengers rail tickets.

What does other income consist off and why is crashing 70%?
Other income includes but not limited to the following:

Letter and parcel delivery services between different cities
Restaurant and bar services both inside the train and at the stations
Third party advertisement inside the train, stations and also on the website
Baggage space storage inside the stations and also inside the train that are paid for.
Use of toilets or bathroom at the stations which are usually paid for.
Some magazines, newspapers or items can also be sold at the train stations.
Car parking services for travelers and renting of spaces to third party businesses like restaurant or retail store.

Weil, Igbo heroes can only be immortalized in an Igbo country, not in a country they share with mortal enemies.
One would think that this should be common sense, but apparently, Igbo politicians don't seem to get it.
Her audience was very explicit and specific so she was not addressing anything remotely outside Igbo circle.

buhariguy:
it was inec that said zamfara and rivers primary is inconclusive, until the party involve went to court, but in this case, inec accepted the primary as conclusive.
Inec can make mistakes that is why the court is there as the final body to make judgements.

smallsmall:
The JUDICIARY is becoming a BIG PROBLEM in our democracy.
While the PDP might be happy over this decision, in the larger scheme of things, the Judiciary, these useless judges, are making a mockery of "Justice".

This useless Judge sacked someone who won a general election, not because he rigged the election, not because he lost the majority...... but because THE PRIMARY in his own party, which produced him was INCONCLUSIVE!

I mean, some Judges deserve to be jailed immediately.
These Judges should henceforth, stop their OVER-MEDDLING in the in INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF POLITICAL PARTIES.
Let the party run their business but only adjudicate when there is a problem of rigging in a general election.
The Party decision MUST be SUPREME, join another party if you dont agree with your party, dont run to a Judge to render your party useless,
Political parties were created by the constitution so their internal operations are subject to the courts.
PoliticsRe: Court Sacks Abdurrauf Abubakar Modibbo, Orders Jaafaru Sulaiman To Take Over by Pharoh: 9:53pm On Mar 06, 2019
If the party primaries has been invalidated then APC was not a participant in the election hence why the victory was given to the PDP. Now for the omehia case in Rivers state, they had a valid primaries but only substituted the name of the winner and that is why the victory was sill confined to the winning party.

BusinessRe: Woman Who Uses Wheelchair Complains About GTBank's Inaccesible Entrances by Pharoh: 6:06pm On Jan 16, 2019
Banks are not public institutions so they are not obligated to provide provision for the disabled. By the way complaining about banks not having provisions for the disabled is preposterous because the Nigerian environment and roads are not planned for that in the first place. Ninety nine percent of Nigerian roads and environment are not friendly to the disabled so why leave that and complain about banks which are private institutions.

FamilyRe: Over Emphasis On The Girl Child. by Pharoh: 12:46pm On Oct 17, 2018
This is a very nice write up and the message is well understood as i on my own have been trying to advice some of this women empowerment movement about the possible problems they might create in the future. We are trying to come out from centuries of over emphasizes on men and instead of going about it in a reasonable way, we are trying to solve the problem by overemphasizing on women today.

We can see what the one child policy caused china because most parents preferred male children if they were to have only one child. My fear is that one day we will empower all the women and find out that there are no corresponding male to match them with. We should focus on helping both with varying strategies for different localities as we are not all on the same page when it comes to women. There are cultural, religious and exposure bias to this topic so the same strategy is not applicable for say Lagos and katsina state.

This is a needed topic and hope those in the relevant authorities can pick ideas from the discussion.

I am missing Carvajal..... Nacho is not making good use of Kross passes.

Lucas should play RB instead.
If lucas should play right back who is going to track neymar?, Vasquez should come in for isco so that Nacho can man mark Neymar. Bale should come in for Benzema so that marcelo can be less ambitious and track Mbappe. Lastly we need Kova in this match to run through the middle and add more defensive bite in the middle.

We discovered oil during that period so what happened? Everything became better before it became worse or what? Nigeria discovered oil in 1956 how did that make or break Nigeria from 1960? The whites still occupied Nigeria up until 1960 when we got independence, so there you have it, a Nigeria that was orderly and made sense. After handing over power to us... you know the rest.
It was only the British(politicians) in government and administration that left in 1960 and the final ones left at the eve of the war. The technocrats and industrialists did not leave, it was after we nationalized all the companies and institutions where they were still training Nigerians post civil war that they left. You can take a look of their impact in countries where they stayed longer like southern Africa nations and compare to the others.
