WITH Wike still around the corner, I guess we've not seen the end of his tears. |
Investigation hasn't even unravel the mystery behind the death, yet the LP had already pointed finger at the opposition party. If we're not careful about the politics we play in this country, we may end up losing more innocent souls while the real culprits are left to further perpetrate more crimes: being ignorantly shielded by partisan emotion of today's politicians. Let the police conclude their findings before apportioning blame anywhere |
Good to hear but we must practically display it to the world with improved and impressive surge in prosperity for the nation's individual citizens and the economy as a whole GOD bless President Tinubu, GOD bless Nigeria |
See people posting without reading the text. They just wann rush to put a blame on someone prettyvirgin:YOUR curse stays with you: no one will share it with you. Funny you, calling someone daft and dumb without objectively stating in clear terms why my submission was other than to go on raining curses onto YOURSELF ('cause it's yours 100%). Is that the height of your IQ? THE article clearly comfirms that the jump was highly down to the devaluated naira WHICH GOES IN CONTRARY TO THE BELIEVE OF MANY RESPONDENTS HERETHAT SUMPTUOUS LOAN WAS TAKEN AGAIN. BESIDES, the stat in question was largely on 2nd quarter which was largely gulped by the last administration WITH ANALYSTS INTERVIEW HOPING TODAY'S ADMINISTRATION'S POLICY WOULD TURN BACK THE TIDE (EVEN THOUGH IT CONTRIBUTED TO IT). IF correction of wrong impression is BAD/DAFT to you, then your level of education SUCKS. |
I don't understand why FG must fund unviable ones at the detriments of the productive ones. AS partners, both parties should have an MOU indicating the limit of commitment. THAT would deter those who goes into it without proper plan pandax:DID I ask for their closure? I only ask for the facilitators to bear the cost of running the facilities and not shift the responsibility onto FAAN. Besides, what's the essence of the traffic they generated into the viable ones WHEN THE BULK OF THE MONEY IS STILL GOING TO HEAD BACK TO THEIR (non-viable ones) MAINTENANCE? |
obyno82:IS Ibom Deep Seaport not the one directed to be sited at Ibaka after the chinese investors courted demanded for better economical location? danilho:DON'T mind them. They always find a way to blame others for their inefficiency. Pathetic lot. IT will amaze to know that IBAKA was the same one later relocated to IBOM because the investors wanted more economical location. I was the one who mistakenly swaped the names of locations in previous post. They got approval for it but couldn't get it done. obyno82:NOTHING was sorted, check the internet. I mixed up the locations in my previous post. The project was the same. The govt picked IBAKA initially but investors demanded better location hence the arrival at IBOM. It got approval, but change in location degenerated to trouble between stakeholders and the investors were harrassed out of site. AGAIN, it got approval!STOP DEMONIZING THE FG OVER PROPAGANDA. |
OF COURSE, WE KNOW AND WE KNOW WHOM MAJORITY OF THE PERPETRATORS SUPPORT TOO. THEY WERE PUT TO SHAME AND SO SHALL IT CONTINUE FOREVER |
GOOD move, Gov Sanwo Olu. Having solicited for support and trust from those ingrates pre election and when the day came, they massively worked against US in voting for their STOOGE who'd severally and blatantly proclaimed his hatred for US as individuals, for our CULTURE and then, for our HERITAGE, it's rather better we keep them in their lanes and so very FAR AWAY. IMAGINE, how do they hope one who had verbally pronounced hate against US would lead US to prosperity and not CHAOS, DECLINE and DESTRUCTION? CONGRATULATIONS LAGOSIANS, WE PRACTICALLY DODGED A TIME BOMB! |
obyno82:WITH this numerous advantages you cited for the establishment of EASTERN PORT (as you named it), why can't any of the eastern/Southernmost governors invested in one? Must it be FG to foot the whole bill? THE SOUTH already have one approval for IBOM PORT established but since then, it's still this/that story. If you believe in its viability, invest in it. Stop demonizing the FG. LAGOS built Lekki port through PPP with FG having less than 20% investment in it but to you it must be FG responsibility when it comes to the EASTERN ports. BY the way, FG has invested in ONNE port expansion and that's everything they've done on APAPA they inherited from the colonial era too. |
obi58:POOR analogy too. IN my post, did I mention unnecessary things like shoes? I mentioned clothes because no matter how hard things could be, you'll never aspire for your kids to go about in rags or nudity, especially ifyou have a female among them. HOUSES that were meant to be demolished are not manageable, they're dead traps and according to statistics, many vibrant souls had lost their lives as a result of such negligence. IF LIVES ARE NOT IMPORTANT, I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE IS. SO I liken it with food, bills, clothing etc. ABOUT compesation, how? DON'T demonize the government. EVEN in saner climes, nobody gets compesated for not being able to renew your mortgage facilities, what you get is LOAN and you must pay back. AFFECTED people can get loans here too to facilitate reconstruction or better still, approach PRIVATE DEVELOPERS for partnership, that which happens abroad too. TO conclude, I'm not against other institutions functioning well but what I don't buy and can't stand is you rubbishing this good move which if pursue deligently will help save many lives. THANKS AND BYE! |
[quote author=obi58 post=125764076]I have tried to overlook your intellectual shortcomings and tried to have a matured discourse with you but it seems that you are hellbent on exchanging insults which I am not going to besmirch myself by engaging you along those lines. If government ostensibly is out to save lives there are far more important things that can have the greater good than rendering people homeless without compensation. Governments from time immemorial have demolished structures to build roads and paid appropriate compensation. So if the government wants to engage on demolition exercises, by all means let them proceed but they should pay compensation to all affected! Not only will this generate goodwill for the government, but it would also help avoid potential crime and environmental issues from the displaced persons. However it makes no sense to save one life from demolished buildings while you ignore ailing hospitals and bad roads that kill 100 more people per 1 person killed in collapsed buildings. The stats are there. Google it and compare the death stats over the last 5 years from road accidents and hospitals to collapsed buildings for yourself. A father who needs to pay for his child's school fees would not be looking for how to pay new sandal for his child who shoe is worn out but wearable until he has been able to hustle and pay school fees. Similarly it would be stupid of a woman to go and make her hair when her children are hungry in the house. Understand what scale of preference is and what should be the priority and vice versa.[/quote POOR analogy too. IN my post, did I mention unnecessary things like shoes? obi58:NO one argues viability and functionality of any institution with you but that doesn't make the state proactive measure less commendable. Learn to give credit when and where due, not all situation attracts wail and complaint. YOUR submission was very poor and f00lish. THE analogy is that afather should cease any other household commitment (providing food, clothing, bills) because his kids are unable to resume school for non-payment of the fees. LIFE mustn't stop because a part is ailing! |
GOOD one. Make our language a compulsory necessity in our public platforms, government parastertals, and institutions. GOD bless well-meaning LAGOSIANS and LAGOS state GOD bless all SouthWestern state of NIGERIAN GOD bless all OMOLUABIs |
obi58:WHAT??? Imagine the mentality of a supposed intelligent IGBO: Damn! So because we still have pocket of road dilapidation issues should necessarily ceases the government from performing all other aspects of governance and measures? OR must people die before your brain tells you the importance of PROACTIVE demolition of distress buildings? MUST Igbos sees negativity in everything, even the POSITIVES? Is that the way your IQ are wired or is it the sadistic tendency at play? Perhaps, you tell us where in the world a country allows its citizen opportunity to keep the MORTGAGE s/he's unable to service financially, or what's the reasons behind numerous blocks of houses the governor has built and the numerous other housing properties/estates springing up in all the neighborhood if not to cushion the housing deficit the state has? SMH |
Nice one Alex. GOD bless NIGERIA |
World leaders are now seeing and appreciating what we saw that made most laudable thinkers among us voted for him. WE knew his track record and we expect nothing less from him. GOD bless NIGERIA. |
Reflect7:OF course you can't leave the forum for them else these mischievous lots/saddists would end up messing up the mindset of the naive co-users, and that may ultimately end up affecting all of us IF NO ONE IS ON HAND TO KILL OFF A PROPAGANDA BEFORE IT SPIRAL OUT OF CONTROL. WE'll keep up with the fight until our little generation know and understand their HISTORY, CULTURE, and their ongoing REALITY, and till each and everyone of them is able to seperate the SADDISTs lies from the VERY TRUTH. |
Good one @PBAT, we put our trust in GOD first and you next. WE pray you succeed |
Af0nja:TO start with, all individual/tribes are welcomed on the train so long you can pay for the ride and you're ready to abide by the regulation governing it. MANY tribes (not IGBO alone)had already gotten the privilege, so no big deal. THE government itself build infrastructures for LAGOSIANS without discrimination as everybody matters irrespective of color. ABOUT your useless curse, nobody owns them but yourself. Besides, empty drums make the loudest noise. Comfortable individuals on this forum don't boast: they have nothing to prove to nobody. And it doesn't change the reality that they are. ALSO, even if the IGBO build something better than this sometimes in future, who says we would not come up with something better than that? LIFE's dynamic. LAMATA started with red bus, but now, we are on electric powered fleet after a series of blue fleets. IN a nutshell, by the time you get to this stage, we're long gone ahead. WE ain't relenting, we keep getting better. EKO oni baje o |
Good one |
FOR those wishing for the decay of this system in nearest future, we say we understand your PAIN and VILE MOTIVE but by GODs grace, yor wish and aspiration against US will be dashed. WE'll continue to climb height and lead aplenty. LAMATA started with RED bus but today, we have a world class blue fleet. LIKE we always say, this ain't in no way our best, this is US just WARMING UP. EKO oni baje o. |
Af0nja:OH, don't tell me the context has suddenly shifted from MEDIOCRITY to UNVIABILITY. Again, relax, the state ain't gonn ask no state in the South East for loan. The YORUBAs ain't complaining too. AND why the pain if you believe in your mediocrity illusion ? You should be happy and quiet, not vocally insultive. WE ain't in need of your wail. We're rejoicing EKO oni baje o |
Af0nja:London, New York and other advance cities still operate SGR rail system with EMU trains. To hurt your feeling more, the trains for the RED LINE was actually planned to be used by an AMERICAN state which, as nature would have it, couldn't deliver it's proposed rail upgrade hence the need to offload the TALGO trains (one of the fastest in the intra-city biz)it purchased from SPAIN: and that's where LAGOS delved in. RELAX BUDDY, WE UNDERSTAND YOUR PAIN |
REPEATED AS SAID ON ANOTHER THREAD Let the state engage private sectors for the faster delivery of other rail lines and the MONORAIL proposed for the main business districts (L/Island, V.I, Ikoyi, Obalende, LEKKI). ONLY PPP would relieve the government of this heavy spending on infrastructure like this while there are other commitment that can't and mustn't be ignored. By the way, There's still uncovered routes to be considered in future for thorough coverage of the metropolis like the link to BADAGRY and another one into EPE. Eko o ni baje o |

Let whoever believe in this prepare for it. Let those who disbelieve ignore it ‘Nigba ti onise ba n jere ise, nigba naa ni ole a bere si ni kigbe wipe won ko toju ohun to’ TOMORROW SHALL TELL WHO'S RIGHT BETWEEN US AND THEM. |
Angelfrost:Even if the gods are interested in clinching the awards, it ain't a bad idea if the Nigerian duo both win it. SO let's give them our support and hope for the best. THERE'S nothing too big for GOD to do. |
9jaRealist:Again, CBN ain't financial partner. IT'S chairmanship position is aimed at overseeing the activities of the banking sectors. Even the agreement on this deal leave out room for any bank not willing to commit to the project. SO it ain't a compulsory involvement for everyone AS IT'S ALREADY BEEN THAT SOME FEW HAD PULLED OUT. EKO ONI BAJE O |
SOPE OTILO! |
While some serious minded government have been creating trade zones and beefing up security as they go in readiness for both internal and foreign investors, some idi.ots are calling events FOOLISH. When the former start reaping from their efforts in the close future, the latter start crying FOUL. As usual, they always see MARGINALISATION. Tthey always see themselves as VICTIMS. GOD BLESS THE YORUBA LAND GOD BLESS NIGERIA |
9jaRealist:PERHAPS, u need google to understand the MOU signed. EMEFIELE and CBN has no financial commitment in all this. THE bankers committee are the facilitators under a PPP partnership with the CBN and are billed to use the facilities for commercial purpose until 25 years or thereabout before returning it back to the FG. THE wetland that would be developed alongside the iconic creativity structure would enhance tourist activity around the vicinity. BIG win for LAGOS and FG on the long run. MAY God continue to bless LAGOS state. |
GREAT MINDS GREAT RESULT. IT TOOK YEARS BUT WHO KNOWS IF IT WOULD'VE BEEN THIS GOOD/MODERN IF IT HAD COME EARLIER THANK YOU ALLAH FOR EVERYTHING! GOD bless LAGOS state EKO O NI BAJE O |

Igbos go still flex the train pass you people. You obviously don't know what to do with your life if you think a Lagos monorail is a win for Yoruba people .
