Thank you Mr Governor. I hope this price remain static while our currency regain steady strenght henceforth. I pray for a better living standard for all the residents of LAGOS state, of YORUBA lands and for all well-meaning NIGERIANS in general |
Thank you LORD, this finally come to pass. WE're grateful YOUR IMPERIAL MAJESTY. THANKS to everyone who contribute to this success too. THANK you. MAY God continue to bless Lagos state MAY God continue to bless all SouthWestern states of Nigeria. GOD bless all well-meaning OMOLUABIS aplenty too. GOD BLESS NIGERIA! |
First off, this statistics shows the southwest is doing pretty fine as all our state has plentiful mixture of other tribes in them (which means multiple factors came up to push up those numbers). MOREOVER, LAGOS posting just 4.2millions is not quite bad considering the enormous population of the state. BUT all in all, we all should be doing better. OUR SOUTHWEST states should up their game. CREATE more employment, improve the agricultural sector and ensure more policies that will ultimately enhance MANUFACTURING and PRODUCTIVITY. |
@revolution2022 First off, Each individual region was responsibile for its own development pre and post amalgamation in 1914 up until 1964 or thereabout when stupid AZIKWE broke the regional government for a unitary one. SO lagos and the western region lived on resources they naturally had and/or nurtured up until then. The port and airport in question were created before independence by colonial masters from taxpayers money and excise duties. Many other facilities the western region built were converted to nigerians: name it, the railway, the london house, the telephone system, the television network etc. Ever wonder why the region is ladden with facilities tagged the first in/by the country? Besides, Abuja has been capital long enough, why is it still under Lagos shadow? Again, before being the CAPITAL and these donkey years thereafter, no state had ever been as rich as Lagos, let that sink in. BUT that doesn't change the fact being lectured to you since that the western region control the most part of the state till it was designated one in 1967. |
Thank goodness, this is coming from america itself. Ive always iterated that OMOLUABI travel a lot but our brothers and sisters across the niger always have different opinion. That they don't always run into the police net in all these western nation doesn't mean they're not there. |

IMPRESSIVE. IN a nutshell, the party lifestyle has always been extravagant |
The money would be used for development as we saw during Tinubu's tenure assgos state governor.
Those backup picture evidences of the failure the Obid.ense apologists want us to entrust our future to is surely going to give many headaches today. Make i quickly wear my safety HELMET. They gonn come for your head like a crazy swamp of bees |
good one. sorrow may linger for a while but surely, gonna come round the BLISS that'll put it to a lasting END. Time we started thinking outside the box |
wow! anyway, our prople often ptoclaim that: 'your day begins right when you wake up, even if that's lots of hours after others'. That start is all that matters, not how long it takes the project to be concieved and/or delivered. Big Ups Edo. But you didnt have to tell us though;we know you're not LAGOS. |
CalmTravels:interesting thread. big ups |
Vado2WITH the better stats CITY :HOW?overrated, how ?YOU mean with all the better stats CITY had in that game ,you still feel REAL MADRID is so overrated and lucky a team to have made it that far to face CITY.Is Madrid a small club ? Is LA LIGA so ovrrrated too that fourth place UNITED dump out BARCELONA (who even couldn't play with the big boys)? |
mokwechineme:funny how you renember to add COLONIAL PRESENCE as if only LAGOS was colonized. ANYWAY i guess you guys are now getting clever by checking out dates of establshment and realizing the folly of attributing the existence of many facilities to her being ex-FCT alone. SMH |
I guess the scoreline will end 2-’3 in favor of CITY. Copy this ;-) |
AmuDimpka:Already pointed it out: its necessity. Take for instance, five flyovers were at concluding stages across the redline rail project the state's constructing. Each of the zone is a potential traffic convergence hotspot and in other to avert a potential accident that may arise from vehicular traffic sharing right of way with the light train, the govt decided to separate the two so that movement could go on smoothly with neither posing a threat to the other. Another one, this bridge in question. Ikeja is always traffic laden but there is limited route going in/out of the capital. So, the govt had to put on their thinking cap and create a platform that spills traffic outta the capital into three districts in minutes to save travel time. There are other examples and all are necessary projects aimed at reducing commuters stress. Thanks |
watchindelta:In Europe too, projects update are periodic. They keep letting the populace be aware of how far they've gone and how much time the projects are expected to be concluded. Point is, each project being undertaken would always have direct effect on some people and the contractors, as well as the authority, therefore have to continually ensure those affected are soothed with assistance and sensitized with sensitive info they may need. They don't keep their citizens in the dark. They make info available on all media platforms that everyone may be carried along. Remember, its taxpayers money and they hold the rights to know how their taxes are utilized. |
watchindelta:Liar. You guys just talk anything shamelessly that one wonders if actually sense exist in some of you. So in your Europe, they finished up whatever project before planting it in the location of choice? Or how won't people know? Don't they announce traffic diversion, public safety precautions and all, and updating the populace about the progress. I doubt you'd ever step out abroad otherwise you'd have known you're sounding retarded. SMH. So much for trying to discredit something. |
AmuDimpka:Perhaps you meant to argue that Rivers built more bridges. And even at that, you are wrong. For all the eight years Wike has used, he's not built/being building as much as ten bridges. Check out how many Sanwo Olu has facilitated in his first term alone. And they were not merely construction to save the skyline but necessities; remember, LAGOS is so populated with them already. |
Just imagining the hell that would've erupted if it was an African doing all this... The WEST media would've began badmouthing the biz till a certain collapse. Hoping to have a truly LIBERATED AFRICA soonest. |
naptu2:So impressive. We need to return this country to its glorious best; even better. The onus rest on all our franchise rights. Let's use the opportunity to build the nation we aspire by choosing the most capable candidate. I can't choose for or bully you to go with my choice neither will I condone such from anybody. Live and let others live. I choose @officialABAT Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of APC. I want a Nigeria that progress like Lagos. |
Incoming President congratulated a President-elect #BAT2023 |
Supported. Absolutely |
Penguin2:And who would the Igbos have voted if not him? What were the options? Trying to distort history to suit yourself ![]() Igbo contested primary against him and lost. The grand finale was not what the Igbos would've desired (as they were left to decide between the whales and the deep blue sea) hence their participation as AD winning the election would've rubbed salt over the injury. Some stayed away from the poll altogether while the rest who voted did so along Party line and out of sheer disgust for anything founded by the Yorubas. |

Happy birthday legend. Many more great years to come. ![]() |
EmekaA125:You should rather have your mental health checkup too. Perhaps, we should know explain things better to you. This is more like a partnership procedure. Lagos state is using part of the interstate lines and as a result, she has to provide amenities needed for the smooth running of the system across the lines. These are additional stations ( like 7), pedestrian bridges (5), flyover bridges (5) and ensure periodic maintenance. That's not all, she still has to lay tracks down to Iddo to not only connect Marina but also provide additional link through which containers could move commodities smoothly out of the Apapa port. What's more? The LASG master plan en route Agbado involves a branch off into Ikeja and linking the Airport, a provision not catered for by the FG project, so LASG is laying tracks into Ikeja too hence the reason why the flag off was done where the train tracks would pass at the state capital. The analogy of your logic is akin to saying Cuomo shouldn't have announced and prioritized the $1tr overhaul of the NY transport system since the state has one of the best facilities in the world even in transportation. You might ask yourself, what the heck is he wasting that much resources and energy on? Remember, he made it his new year promise to the state |
blamingthedevil:Lagos ain't only laying tracks down to Iddo to connect the blue line but is also linking the tracks to Ikeja from where the proposed Ikorodu line(s) would emanates. The tracks are also to connect the Airport, a provision not covered in the interstate railroad master plan. All the same, its a brilliant idea that reduces cost for both parties because complimenting infrastructures the state's offering will benefit the federal trains too; as it disallowed intervention of transit from pedestrian and motorists alike. |
PythonDeveloper:As a client, I wouldn't wait a second longer to deactivate our agreements/contract seeing this response of yours: if we'd ever had any. Otherwise, I ain't getting near your contact even with you having good ratings and wealth of experiences. You don't bring sentiments into play on everything as a professional because whether you agree or not, it defines your interest and end product which is a turn off for many people who seek free mind. Your tribal/political tendencies would always come in the way of your relationship with clients of other tribes and that might affect your delivery even if you are the best in the world. If you plan to go political, always endeavor to use moniker other than the one promoting your business. My take. |
Moorish:Not many offices but only two and those two have different terrains they work on for detailed and proper services, even though they get areas they must align and work together too. First one is LASURA. All LASURA does is to look into plannings of an already inhabited areas and draw blueprints on how best to implement infrastructural development into the system to improve the lifestyle and ecosystem of the area for optimal, quality and productive upgrades. Example is the urban renewal process ongoing at MAKOKO, YABA and BADAGRY. Another is the proposed plans for OTTO COMMUNITY, IKOSI-EJIRIN and IMOTA. Then, there is the ministry of physical planning and urban development; a team that has its commissioner and permanent secretary, both of whom were present at the event. The team specializes in setting plans/blueprint for developing areas with the aim of creating a smart city project. They themselves hints on infrastructural facilities that would hasten growth (both economically and physically) in the new ecosystem for improved lifestyle and development in the state in general. Example is the LEKKI FTZ, LAGOS FTZ, IBEJU-LEKKI development, ORANGE ISLAND, PERIWINKLE ISLAND, EKO ATLANTIC CITY etc. The other one stated is the aide; one who advises the governor/government on how to improve blueprints submitted by either/both above-mentioned offices. He deliberates with the governor on what to add/subtract and why. He also advises on how to procure right materials (finance, tools, products and labour) towards the actualization of the urban regeneration projects. 27Pushing30:Of course, no LG/LCDA is untouched when it comes to the road project in the state as we speak. If they continue in this new pace SANWO OLU brings and they compliment that with quality deliveries, sooner than later, issues of bad roads in Lagos would be a thing of the past. About the mass transit, you're absolutely right. If they deliver on the blue and red rail lines by the last quarter of 2022 as promised and are able to secure people's confidence over the waterway transport system, Lagos state would quickly jump up the ratings as a model smart city in Africa. May God continue to bless Lagos state May God bless all South Western States of Nigeria in general May God bless all Yoruba land May God bless all Yoruba indigenes Moorish:No, not just roads. Check out the patterns of facilities going into Yaba and Badagry for instance. And Epe too. Yaba is having a modern and smart bus and train stations, apart from the one at the Ebute Metta end of the LG being constructed by FG. There are upgrades on medical facilities to world standard while there are proposals to construct research centers and the recently announced, massive technology hub. These are not all but to save time let's jump onto Badagry. Badagry itself is having a revived agro business. A new jetty is under construction, a proposed coconut factory is on the way (the land/site already secured), health facilities in the region upgraded (some newly built), more classroom blocks built in a couple of schools and there's a speculation of an international company wishing to build a seaport at the marina too. Lagos state have had a MOU with them (as far as I'm know) and the company is also in talk with the FG. In the case of MAKOKO, majority of the focus is still on the road improvement and development of new site termed "New Makoko " where new properties are already emerging. And lest I forget, all these areas have many roads reconstructions ongoing in them. In regards to your other question, Lagos state are partners with all the developments for a reason. They can't leave a private company to present whatever they like: things would end up disjointed. And the purpose of giving them the opportunities would be defeated. Lagos wants classy and beautifully smart environment and the LASG team would deliberate with the private sector on the minimum level of facilities they expected them to provide in each one according to the type of development the urban planners want for each region hence a perfect residential blueprint would not look the same as a mixed zone which would also be different from an industrial settlement. To save time, Lagos ain't financial partners but are strategically involved for good, standard and expected delivery. |
@ oyeb15, i think that's part of the challenges being planned to rectified. I won't be surprised if close to 20% of igr in Lagos itself ends up untapped by the LASG and thus getting milked by some opportunists. Imagind if markets and bus stations levies are properly monitored, collated, collected and sustained, Lagos should be posting at worst N600b every quarter. Anyway, i'm likewise optimistic of a very vibrant future with the state partnership focus with various businesses for sustainable growth and economy. If only other states could start thinking outside the box too. Of course, you want tax compliance but you also want steady growth hence the need to drive manufacturing and commerce. Mind you, Lagos itself need to do a lot better. |
Since many are blinded by hate hence not seeing the change, it's important to point their sight to the wonders. Sanwo ain't just working but outperforming others over a short space of time. Whether you choose to believe or not, is left to you. And it ain't changing the realities. God bless Lagos state For a greater Lagos. Eko o ni baje o. |
What can i say! May God continue to bless lagos state enough more anytime haters wish it bad. May God bless all yoruba land |
