ArchAngeI:Did I say beauty doesn't matter? What I'm telling the guy is to stop slapping the poverty mentality over others because the support another housemate appart from his choice. Go through my post again. Those supporting the boy said they are supporting his talent so he should let them be otherwise he'd have to give them reason why others are better over the characteristic those supporting are looking for? If I love a curvy lady and you think the one I'm eyeing is not good for me, then you have to give me a good reason why I should pick another base on my want. Simple. If you can't do so, then let me be. It's my choice. |
Amya:I can't argue against your opinion because that's what you see. We all have diff ways of seeing things and T one time or another you'll get to hype a housemate too as has been done over th eyears so why's anybody having a problem over a housemates others hyped? Tell the world his faults not telling them to stop hyping without it? |
ArchAngeI:Point is your envy is eating deep into you but you don't wanna see. What's the problem you have with the boy? Is it a must everybody is a beaut? The people supporting the guy said they are supporting brain and talent but you're here associating them with poverty mentality WHEN IN FACT WHAT YOU SHOULD REASON ABOUT IS IF REALLY THE GUY IS INTELLIGENT AND TALENTED. If your answer is yes, then, why the trouble of trying to convince anybody trying to associate with him. Let's accept you believe he's worth the hype, who among the others would you recommend for them who possesses the combo of that talent and intelligence in the house now? After all, you have to give them the reason why others are better in the areas where they are hailing him before you start the 'poverty mentality' card. Moreover, as far as I know, this game come with its choice. If your admiration lean on physical beauty, go on hail it; nobody's stopping you but you can't stop others hailing anything else they admire simply because of your wish of not wanting the thing/person to do well. Live and let live says a beautiful sage. If they hail the boy, others are being hailed by some other set of people too. Find the set that align with your believ and hail with them. Let the better fans win not the worst wailer. And you get it wrong by the analogy you presented about the politicians, election and the masses, too. Always think deep before you come up with an instance another time. |
TheManOfTheYear:Big up, boss. We all are learning everyday. |
TheManOfTheYear:The metropolis extended to Ikeja, Ikorodu, Agege, et all but not the City. The metropolis are the areas around the city not actually the areas contained in the city. So there's nothing like London City metropolis but London City on a part and altogether with all the areas surrounding it to make up London Metropolis; also called London Metro. The same thing New York (New York City, Brooklyn ect are cities combined with the other areas to make up the greater New York), same way Greater Manchester consist of Manchester as the city and other areas surrounding it. This is the same mistake most make when thinking the entire New York is the city when there are more than one city in it. Lagos metro doesn't mean the city but the city and other areas around it. And like in New York example, like in Guatran in SA, a state can have more than one city in its metropolis. |
rs172:Why not snap it and show everyone? Why do you guys get envious when a little progress is shown somewhere not yours? Is the road in question under construction, even though the progress is extremely slow? Yet, when Ambode was being booted out by the state for the abandonment of previous administration projects, you guys were the ones crying foul as if Lagos was in South East. Is this the reason you guys would want Ambode's stay in power? So that you guys can point out the rots of his negligence? The potholes, dirts, the wasting away of unfinshed infrastructures? Quite right, Lagos has a very long way to go especially with the road infrastructure, housing and proper drainage. They need to improve their level of HDI too but that doesn't mean they are not trying. The population is increasing everyday for a reason and this has also become its biggest challenge. It's not even two years since Ambode left, the lighrail has been finally extended to CMS, the stations are being planned and ready to be built, and there are preparation to ensure connectivity reaches Ikeja Local Airport on the North Central , Lekki on the south and Ikorodu on the North East. Unfortunately, the road at Mile 2 down to Badagry and the ongoing one connecting Oshodi down to Oworonshoki from Apapa may not be tarred until the rail is entirely ready and safe to operate. So take a chill pill and watch. Sanwo Olu is not going to abandon other administaration's projects. He's already completed some and had executed some roads of its own government too. He's filled potholes and are ensuring works continues on some inner roads the LGS are working on. It's not the fastest but they are still working. |
It's turned out the residents and the indigenes of Lagos state themselves don't know what parts of the state are included in the 'CITY OF LAGOS'. Now how do you convinced a stranger when majority of the state believe the entire state represent the city. For the record, Ikeja was never a part of Lagos City. Infact, Ikeja is a city itself with Maryland, Ojodu, and Magodo considered as part of the city. Lagos city consist of the Lagos Island, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lagos Mainland, Banana Island, and Yaba. So the picture the Op showed us has only captured Ikeja and not the City of Lagos. Note that Lekki peninsula, Epe, Ajah, Ibeju Lekki are also not included because they ain't part of it. Nice pix though. |
mrvitalis:If you have a lil shame left in you, you should retire this moniker today. Jeez! even with all the people showing how dumb the comment you made is, you're still trying to defend it. Anyway, like Spader (Raymond Red REddington) said in the series "The Blacklist": In the world of the mad, only the madmen are sane. The analogy of your assertion is that it doesn't matter if a child is killed by his parent but it's only a crime if anybody else does the crime. If this is the way you think, you need the medic. mrvitalis:It's now clear it's not a matter of 'IF' but this is exactly who you are; exactly your mindset, exactly the level of your IQ. In that case, you badly need a medic. You need psychological evaluation badly. |
PROUDIGBO:I think you should be the one to do the shutting up of your hellish mouth. Was the southwest region an active battleground in the civil war? Why would the Biafran soldier decide to invade it? Ojukwu or whatever was his name got it coming to him the moment he involved the take-over of Lagos enroute to involving the southwestern states in his plan of Biafra. Awolowo would not sit down and let that happen. He did what he should do. Yoruba had decided not to interfere with the whole saga, leaving it to the hausas, fulanis and the east to sort out but biafran soldiers couldn't stick to liberalization of their region alone by also gunning to annex other regions into the original map hence the reason why the Benin- Ore annihilation and further involvement of the yoruba race was necessary. Maybe you go back home to let grandpa tell you why Awolowo who had been neutral for some time eventually spoke up of the loophole that wasn't explored. I'm sure you're not a Lagosian/residing in the state to have spewed your gibberish of Igbos winning Yorubas in election without the support of the yorubas. The LGS in question are predominantly resided by folks of eastern/south-south/middlebelt origins. Back in the days, the state had often ensure the Yorubas who are the minority (in population) in this regions go to the election booth but the same Tinubu (whom you're demonising) saw otherwise and made provision for them other tribes to join the politics and contest among themselves so as to make sure the winner is one who has better understanding on how to serve his/her people better. Hence the reason why APC allow them chance to provide candidates the party will all support in primaries and then, also overwhelmingly support in the election proper because in Lagos, who APC present is a little concern to the larger portion of the population but the intent and policies of the party. Lagos state population don't believe in the polity of PDP so handing over the ballot to these non-indigenes as a good gesture is a sure way to winning the election for themselves and becoming a voice for their people in the state. Now, I think, Tinubu would have been wiser who you guys are now, have a rethink and withdraw the benefits. It's either Yoruba or nothing. If any Igbo guy wishes to involve himself in politics he can always go to the east to participate. They have to be stopped, now. |
techmo:Thank you for this response and evidence. I'VE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT THE OMOLUABIS ARE NOT JUST WISE BUT BRILLIANT AS WELL BUT YOU JUST PUT ANY DOUBT ABOUT IT TO BED WITH THAT EVIDENCE. Those guys are the definition of dumb. They would never make any research over anything before they cry foul. Serve Asiwaju Tinubu right too. He brought this upon himself with all the freedom and benefits he's allowed them, especially in Lagos politics. They need to be kept in their place for good. |
allytinted:Thanks. Seems there's a match 2mao. I'll try with MTN. |
lomprico:Good one, bro. Thanks. |
lomprico:Is it the standard data charge for all network? If you're not sure, which of the network are you using? |
allytinted:With which network? I mean, is it the standard data charge from all networks? I have Mobdro on my bluestacks but I haven't stream football on it for fear all the data might be consume at a go. But if 300mb can successfully straem a match, then, I can give it a try. But the question now is, what network is best for this? |
blessingee:Wrong. Eko atlantic actually do fit into it. Perhaps, we can argue that the Rwanda city is the perfect one. Green city doesn't necessarily mean there won't be emission at all but means that there would be so very little of it, it would be invisible. What makes the Rwanda case perfect is "electric car thing" otherwise Eko has everything they boast it would possess. But remember the occupants are the well-to-do people of the society who can afford the right cars that hardly emit this toxic gas. Eko Atlantic has: Green Environment....250,000 trees already planted in the city. And that's excluding the ones the developer of each building must plant around their buildings. All the houses are to be green houses.....At least those completed and ones under construction so far are. Proper Drainage and water system... the waterways created within the city would not just beautify but further enable lil to no pollution in the environment. Water treatment system Stable 24/7 power supply Standard safety-distance system.... there is to be a reliable space between houses to allow free flow of breeze and allow for restriction of communal hazard to only the building it might be affecting in the future.. Good water supply. And some more. |
RuudVanNisteroy:Stop misleading people. Makoko doesn't start and end at the floating eyesore. The Makoko that was around back in the days is the solid land part of it with the residents mostly fisherwo/men using the waterway for their fishing biz but building population forced people to take advantage of the State negligence around the late 80s and early 90s when they began setting up rent-free residences on the water till it developed to what we have today That there were residents on Makoko back in the days is no yardstick for that floating menace to be left there. Makoko community is not what the state should destroy but the floating houses on the lagoon. That seaview is an eyesore. Some parts of Lagos Island once had similar issues and even as these ones didn't set themselves up on the sea, they were given a facelift overtime. I think some part of Lekki are going through this remodelling as we speak now so why must Makoko be excused. |
RuudVanNisteroy:That houses on the lagoon in Makoko ain't suppose to be there in the first place. So, there's no compensation for anyone when the time comes. People just took advantage of the nonchalant attitudes of previous governments, and even the current one to some extent, to set up that settlement. Makoko ends where the land stops at the seaside and being a residential area already full of occupants, Lagos state just need to demolish the eyesore and let all the affected find their way; after all, they can't say they are paying the rent of such place into the coffer of the state government. They can only hold whosoever fixed them into the mess responsible because I don't think many of them got their spaces for free. Soweto was slums on land, like Kibera in Kenya, so it can be rebuilt and have the residents relocated back with pocket-friendly rents. But this is waterfront that has to be protected and if you know the palce well, the actual landed areas are occupied even with some good houses and paved roads too. So, the floating eyesore simply has to go when the time comes! In respect to your post about Venice, that's a nice gesture but ALL LAGOS WATERFRONTS ARE NOT LIKE MAKOKO. You can check pics on others places to know Lagos has numerous good seaview pictures too. If I'm not making a mistake, Makoko is just the black sheep in the flocks. |
Openbusiness4:Since the word "you" doesn't specifically state the number of the people who's gone in to make up the 34 people in the bedroom, then we can only account for the dead bodies while the remainders would always remain inconclusive/unknown until the figure that join the party is given. To me the number of people in the bedroom is "X". |

Calm your tits, young man. You don't have to vent up that anger and hate over everything. Everything goes through logical procedures. Even in advance countries, your resignation when somebody allege crime or loot against you automatically denotes that you are guilty. If you're sure you're just being castigated unjustly, you can sue or arrest the person defaming you, but not resign. You might not want to see this due to your hate, but that's the normal process. The normal procedure. Take away that veil of hate from your eyes and see the world the way it should really be. |
Rest on, hero. We appreciate all the years you spent on us, on our safety, on our freedom. We hope the good Lord pay you handsomely for everything. We'll surely miss you, genius! RIP. |
MelesZenawi:So if I say President Trump had an affair with me unjustly, the next thing the president does is to resign? Why running under the sloagn of "IN a saner clime, this or that happens" when you don't even understand procedure? SMH |
On the allegation that the Honourable Minister directed Ms. Nunieh to remove Mr. Kaltungo, same is false. His track record marks him out as a totally detribalized politician and one of the best friends of Northern Nigeria. The Honourable Minister was informed by the NDDC management that over twenty three (23) top Management Staff, from various part of Nigeria including the Niger Delta region, who have evaded leave in the last ten (10) years or had the tendency to influence negatively the ongoing forensic audit were recommended for mandatory leave by the lead forensic auditors. They are still staff of the Commission currently receiving their monthly salaries and benefits.Wait, is this for real? Why would a public servant be evading leave, so much so that they had remained at work without one since ten years? Is there no other able brains to steer the affair of the organisation in the region? Without telling you anything else, one should know something must have been ongoing in those offices that the evaders wouldn't want to miss for the love of the world. God! this nation's damn gone! Saying that doesn't clear Akpabio too of anything, though. That just caught my fancy in all the epistle. |
These people are only trying to patronise Nigeria. For crying out loud, huge numbers ain't a guarantee for success especially with the kind of leaders we have in Nigeria and across Africa today. It won't be a surprise if by this period predicted, Nigeria and other African countries are still on the backfoot; with the West coming to the rescue as usual. |
nan1:What concerns EDO with what they are doing in KOGI? If the people of Kogi are silent about mismanagement of their resources, who will bear the ultimate brunt of it? Of course, the indigenes, so why would an Edo guy be protesting over issues not directly concerning him? Secondly, that the people of KOGI remain silent over their case doesn't mean the EDO people should do as much. After all, the indigenes are the ones who will be at the recieving end of whatever action or inaction they take in respect to the decisions their government is taking. So, if they feel they can't allow thrash, they surely have a right to complain. Besides, asking Edo to do the same thing as the Kogi residents is unnecessary and inconsiderate; let's call a spade a spade. |
These people are here again. Now, their focus is on Osibanjo because their Atiku is seemingly refusing to come. Okay ooooo!XXXXXXXX |
Let me pitch my tent here. I'll come back for the real comment later. |
Heathrow44:Sometimes you get pushed into something. I hardly start a bigotry but the way those guys present their logic and argument provoke you to a certain reaction. Thank God somebody brought up the Innoson against GTB case. Remember it? Remember the conduct of these people (I hope you're not among) throughout the saga? Remember how they were calling for the shutdown of the banks across the east at least? Now, if the Yorubas had been the ones who did that, the Igbos would still be crying over it every opportunity they get. Until someone just brought it up now, many Yorubas had even moved on; they had forgotten it happened. We know the people we are dealing with. They make you look like a bully because they want to collect something from you or wish you to like their own thing yet they are stiill the same people who would badmouth your own in envious of its/the growth. |
hollah123:Quite true. They made the case a Yoruba vs Igbo fight and castigate the GTB with all their miserable mights without understanding the points of contest. They surely hoped that would be the end of the bank but God had other ideas. Today, GTB still remains one of the top indigenous banks doing well everywhere they go; at home, in Africa, In Europe, everywhere! Like I posted earlier, if I were Asiwaju Tinubu, I'd have severe the benefits the ingrates are recieving from my quarters a long time ago; even in the political sphere. Afterall, they have never appreciated it while he was being patriotic. |
This is the height of it all. But wait, why didn't the people consider him for the post after having alleviated their problem of insufficient/lack of water supply? Perhaps, the other person pose a better CV. If yes, they'd make a good decision but anything otherwise means the people just shot themselves in the foot. It would simply mean that they frustrated him into it. Now, like he posited, 'they'll need to go hunt for their water as in the past' |
ERockson:Thank you. They cry over everything. Soonest, they will be crying to the FG to help them fvck their governors wives because they can't practically do anything for themselves unless they attract others sympathy with their foul cry. Upon all the other car assembling plants in the country, many of whom are indigenous, yet they won't let us rest about the patronage of Innoson as if he's the only Nigerian in the biz. Yet, they're still the same persons who condemn those who are already patronising with sympathy. If I were Asiwaju Tinubu, with the way those people come for him all the time, I'd have broken off so many benefits I allowed the ingrates a long time ago. |
xynerise:Were you in Lagos? I doubt you were else you'd have known how rocky this past christmas was; to exemplify a closer case. Shows, Cinemas, Fests happened and they all were massive, colourful and impressive. It was never a dull moment, ask for the right info from the right source; not sentiments from your clan at home. Population of Lagos is massive not because a tribe is in it but because all the tribes have massive presence in it. Check ya stats! Besides, is it only Ibos that travel during Christmas? Don't other tribes also travel to their states? As close as Ogun state is to Lagos State, the indigenes still travel during christmas to their hometowns, so what's your point? You guys just bloat yourself with this useless sense of entitlement and chestbeat about that things happen because of your presence and technically cease immediately you leave which is wrong. I won't be wrong if I think you're among many who believe thsi same Lagos rests on the Igbos' import, export and purchasing capability. YET, it's been proved overtime that the big businesses that sustain the State are either yoruba-, Hausa-, Fulanis-, or foreign-owned. So why fooling about? Desist from chestbeating; you're hardly making sense.. |
