Hope it serves its purposes effeciently. Hope some S.W states take advantage of this by cultivating enormous rice farm in order to provide options of supply for the mill. We cant rely/trust on Kebbi forever if we plan to sustain this for a long time. |
@Omenka, dont mind the clowns. It's only evil if it's not in their favor; otherwise it's good and reasonable. And it's all the same with all of them whether the person is aged, a youth or a child: they all exude the same trait. Pathetic souls they are. |
Jagaban. The only name that cause so much noise and hate. God bless Lagos State |
@Aystarz, funny you. I aint surprised about your comment though. Like I said its a trademark... Its ingrained in the blood. |
The moment you have a diff opinion from theirs, you become a paid agent and instead of engaging you intelligently, they resort to name-calling, threat and curse. It's a trademark. Lol, Bakare too has collected 30k stipend; it's alright... It's okay! |
AustineJohn908:You are jon snow, you... In d instance of division, what wuld b shard ar fund in reserve, debt, borders, etc. D moment territories ar carvd apart, u automatically knw what u hav in ladmass and resources and u're entitled 2 make ur law as u like. Ask the soviet about Moscow. Gud night. |
AustineJohn908:Dont take it personal, bud. I'm a yoruba man, check my posts, i aint dragging Abuja wit you. I'm just sayng the reality as it would happen. No Abuja, Kano, Lagos, Ibadan,Ogun, Kaduna govt would chase anyone away subject to your being law-abiding as an immigrant that division would turn some residents in these states to. The problem would be in your nt livng within the policy guiding immigration and peaceful conduct. And dont decieve yourself, d north owns Abuja anyday and would grab it when we break up. As a nation, our resources could b spent anywhere, anyhow, on anythng so long its in d interest of nations buildng and its guided by law. So Abuja is owing nobody. |
AustineJohn908:First of, you dont have to leave provided you can abide by the laws of the new sovereignty; and that include having the necessary documents. Same applies to non-indigenes livng in Lagos, Ogun, Kano, Kaduna, Ibadan etc. You only get booted out if you commit crime against the state or the citizen. That the Bhagis were once the indigenes and would always be is true but that they are inclined to the south is false and even so that shouldnt be a yardstick because it boils down to territory and culture, and in both instancf Abuja, the Bhagis are more embedded in the northern world than southern. #IRestHere |
@sulaak, the Abuja, middlebelt thng is just another politics. If Ng break today, the north grabs it. I aint seeing the geo zone stickng 2gethr to make a nation even; they're just 2 diff especially when they are culturally inclined to people from other zones. To me Abuja, Plateau are always north same way Kwara, Okan (d yoruba lgs in kogi) are west. I always look out for their polities and development too. @lezy2014 of lexy2014, if you aint seeing the one in your neighbourhood, how do i expect you to know d ones far away. Tell us where you live in Lagos, let me point you to one in your neighbourhood. If you aint resident of the state, i dont see why i should engage you then because lie or truth, you'll never know. |
lexy2014:Lol. Do we have to argue over this? If you're a Lagos resident, one's going on in your neighbourhood. |
@Ibrahimmrfish Even if it's only Minna Niger State develops, do visit the state and see beauty meet serenity and cleanliness. Even what Babangida did for the capital during his tenure is still evident till today. |
Nice one there, kano. Ganduje is the man. Hope our S.W politicians are seeing this. We can't be satisfied with Lagos alone posting development here and there; our other states must step up to be counted too. The north ain't contented they have Abuja, rather they keep pushing for more with Kano, Kaduna and even Niger States posting serious developmental projects. |
Hml to them. And it finally come to pass, Gedoni is now a british citizen. Sometimes, some benefits come with added benefits. What a lucky guy he is. He never won the game but today he's one of the biggest winner of the game. #CheckOutHere |
Good work by the task force. The lawlessness on the road since the #endsars brouhaha is alarming and troubling, and its important that the state rise up against it to keep its pedigree as one of the safest and working states in Africa. Lagos must be great by force. Eko o ni baje o. |
@Uteghe, that's new! People from the same state hating on each other to the extend of denying one another some development facilities? That's new! |
Latidoh1:For real? Wow, i'm beginning to enjoy this. These are the kinda development we hope for in the SW. We want all those lazy governors to man up and start taking responsibilities. We can do better. Next up should be how to/creation of an avenue to attract big investments (both local and foreign) to all the S.West states especially those lacking in this aspect while Lagos and Ogun pay rapt attention to the improvement in the number of what they have in their domains. |
This ngige again? |
EgunMogaji2:I thought i was the only one who saw tha flaw. Evnthough i may not exonerate the truck driver because there's a huge chance there was no or not enough 'caution sign' put in strategic positions on the road to warn oncoming drivers of impediments ahead, yet i think some (if not much) of the fault lies with the garage management for allowing/encouraging such outrageous overload. I think all the staffs at the garage wherein the car took off should be arrested, questioned and arraigned in court for unwittingly contributing to the demise of those youths. That would serve as deterrent 2 future endeavour of such act. Bt then, this is Nigeria where issues hardly get the right response. |
Good. Lagos must be great by force. |
AsiwajuNdigbo:Lagos has always been involved in intervention programmes either as a partner or benefactor. And it still ain't stopping in doing its best to provide succour to its residents as exemplified by this benefit. We may argue that they've got to do more though but we shouldn't spread misinformation that this happened because of the #endsars protest (like it is the first health -or otherwise- intervention programme they're involved in). |
Nice one by LASG. We want you guys doing more though. Eko o ni baje o. A tunbo maa dara si ni. |
Ogun state is merely enjoying the effect of its proximity to Lagos. I haven't seen much zeal in their polities and programmes that show a development-determined/oriented government. Unfortunately, there's a limit to how far that can take you. My take is that with a very serious governance, Ondo is next to Lagos (and will pose a closer economic boost) if we look at all the potentials and resources. Then comes Ogun, Oyo, Osun and Ekiti in that order. If we have to consider the Kwarans and the yoruba-speaking kogi, then Kwara comes before Osun while Kogi beats Ekiti. Remember, this analysis is based on potentials and resources (if nurtured). @odunolumide @stri1 @holuwaxheun |
The just circulated fake video is an indication some elements had penetrated into Lagos State to cause mayhem and collapse the Yoruba structure. They don't plan to stop in the hope of achieving their aim at all cost. They have cover in some yoruba partners or pals whom they must've been blinded by some witty promises. But then, we know which tribe has more of its people spread elsewhere and we obviously hope they are prepared to face the consequences of these incites when whatever hold they have over the yorubas wear off. To them lots saying a particular tribe is excluded to exonerate their involvement, we know better. We know the names you peddled around as victims of the previous protest, we know the part of the country they come from and we saw how easily the few yoruba names among them are rejected as participants and victims. One thing i know, there's a end to all this and each Omoluabi should be cautious lest he becomes a tool in the hand of the enermies against his land. |
Good one. I just like how the governor's silently bloating up his CV. |
Afamed:Oh! I see. Thanks. @Doyin2, i know as much. I threw in that question because i saw a lamenting comment about pedigree when of all the candidates, Abiru poses about the best personality. I can only say kudos to all Lagosians for presenting a very fair and violent free election as well as going for the best notwithstanding all the recent drama. |
IITTA50:And who's the better personality between Abiru and Gbadamosi? Please analyse. |
You're right @BabaOwen. And to think the man has never come out to tender an apology for the miss is a shame to behold. Anyway, thank God for having a brain like Fashola who proactively ensured the project stays in the region despite. Otherwise, no sane Omoluabis would've been able to forgive Mimiko for such blunder. |
You're right @BabaOwen. And it's a shame the man has never come out till today to apologise to the people of the state (at least to show some empathy for that loss). Anyway, thank God we have a brain like Fashola who acted proactively to see that the region didn't, as a result of such greed of Mimiko. lose the project. |
I think there was a time-frame. I think the project's to be developed by investor and managed by them for an agreed period of time like they did the lekki-ikoyi link bridge so finance shouldn't be a problem. I think it's projected to be completed inbetween three to four years and was meant to start around december this year. I'm not sure if the starting date has shifted as the information i just shared was of late last year, (perhaps, early this year) predating covid19, which might have affected the plan. cc: @one4me, @adewumiopeyemi, @lindareep |
Not disappointed. I know there must be comments from the apologists. It amazes to see how quick to troop out to condemn LASG because of the presence of slums in some areas and at the same time condemn the govt for demolishing the same slum. They are confused and confounding. To the topic. I oft'n wonder what work the CDA were doing that stuff like this get collected. They are supposed to point out anomality in the society asap for immediate eradication before it degenerates to an eyesore but they don't. Its time govt let them know the development they are suppose to promote include pointing out anomalities around them. |

Good one for a breakaway from the bustling/noisy Lagos life. |
