I think majority of the people up there who are on the neck of the OP are actually the idiots from a certain group who only wish disaster to happen every single breathe that they have. Remember, what you wish others may finally turn against you. It's not my words; it's the scripture from all the holy books. |
Something is not right about this country. May God save us all. |
I can't believe people are still wailing about this good policy. If you must condemn somebody, it's not the time he's done or just done a good deed. At least, recognise a good deed first and maybe later, you may show your grief about some previous issues you have against him. Jeez! some peolple can't just stop to amaze me. nzeobi:And what's bad in giving people appointment if it was meant to bring the dividends of democracy to the common man at the foot of the ladder? |
Some men are simply some women's toy. |
MelesZenawi:Let's just agree you were under an influence when you wrote that jargons. Now that you're sobber, do yourself an honour and modify. It won't be great if any friend or family see such attributed to you. Jeez! Smh. |
bamvik:To pay that kind of money, we would need to sell Lagos State and probably, Port-Harcourt. |
Ride on, Omoluabi Atata. The sky is your start of height. |
I don't understand how people believe the hoax. The brain behind that shit of an account is obviously a Nigerian. It's just pathetic how some people allow their IQ to be at the mercy of one fucking clown. SMH! |
We wait |
koffsman:Exactly. May God answer our prayer. |
koffsman:You have a point too. Methink the problem of this nation are the subjects the so-called greedy leaders govern over. No elected repesentative is more powerful than the electorates; if only we can exercise that power, this nation would've turn around for good. First off, the power to force a change is in our unity. Trust me, even though another political party step onto the podium today, the issues we are dealing with will still remain our nemesis because the entire structure is messed up. Each elected member has come to believe s/he has no or little need for worry because there will ever be a faction of the population who would defend him/her irrespective of the performance hence the misbehaviour and resources mismanagement. And ain't that true? Look around at all the politicians we have today and you'll realise each one of them has a huge fanbase and that's not because of their performance 'cause not many of them score upto average but because of the religious, tribal and/or partisan affiliation. Youth of today need to look into this and begin demanding for performances. Having said this though, things had to be carefully implemented without making a faction look bad. We can demand for good governance without too many critism. A state resident can demand for basic needs from the state government without critisizing. Take for instance we need good water supply, we all can keep torturing the government with this same demand across all available fronts without abusing or making anybody look bad. This unity of purpose will force the politician's hand to do something because he would be afraid s/he might run into trouble anywhere because the demand is coming from everywhere. And the way we glorified them had to stop. We all know these guys are looters but when they turn up in town, some nutcases would rather sing their praise for peanuts than to show their grief at some wrongs that they do. This is one problem we need to walk away from if we want this country to prosper. My take is to always call for a better performance especially when these politicians are in town and let them realise that their longetivity on that seat depend greatly on how better they fare. Simple. We may even demand for the removal of any of them together with petitions to the court and push in another long before the time for another general election. But this all depend on us. Eventhough the pertition may not work, at the general election, we can easily flush anyone out. If we lessen our critism and magnify our voice of demanding, we end up getting what we want because no politician can buy everyone. What they buy are only few who sow seed of patriotisms into many others using the tribal, religion and/or the party lines. And lastly we should be ready to demand our right from the right quarters. Mostly we blame the FG for practically everything that happens in our respective state thereby exonerating the real culprit and condemning the wrong body. Quite alright the FG has some few things they owe each state like the allocations, good inter-state channels including good roads and rail networks, good power supply and few other support progrmme, but the onus should be on the state arms of government to make the state works. And how many state are working in this country of ours? I think except Lagos State that are a little above average in term of governance and policy-making, the rest are absolutely poor but majority of the residents of these states focus more on the central government than their immediate leaders. Until we start pointing fingers at the right body, this country would still have difficulty progressing to the promise land we all want. This is just what i feel. I may be wrong though. |
The shit has just started hitting the ceiling. In your hands we put our trust oh lord! |
164? Please heal and safe your people oh lord. WE pray and seek your mercy. |
koffsman:Quite fine we know the kind of people we have as leader but that shouldn't be a yardstick for demanding for a bad decision. What we'd rather be pushing for as the numero uno on the list of necessity this trying moment is the empowerment of our health facilities and other infrastructures. The palliatives should be secondary considering the available financial resources and the circumstance surrounding the economy. Remember the price of crude oil which the economy rest on has crashed badly in recent times. |
koffsman:Why don't you consult your calculator before you rant against the figure. Even sharing just N5000 for each Bvn holder would do the budget a bad damage and yet, fail to salvage the purpose onto which it's done; which is to alleviate the sufferness of people during the lockdown because the money cannot just take anybody through. And ultimately, it reduces the chances of improving on the medical facilities which should be key in case the pandemic becomes overwhelming in the country. Just reflect on this. |
helinues:Thank you for this. I was talking with someone who think the government should share some money through the BVN the other day that his sugestion ain't feasible. He went on ranting like all the donations the FG got should be splitted into all the BVN accounts instead of using it to procure medical equipments to support the hospitals, citing hunger as a more dangerous problem right now during this lockdown than any other necessity. I had to bring out a calculator to let him realised his folly. Even as the government shared N5000 among our estimated*(done during our argument) 50million BVN holders, it would still dig a whole vast hole on the budget and also do our will to empower our healthcare a hell of a blow at this trying time. I let him realised the focus should rather be on the most vulnerable as the government suggested because spending the two hundred and fifty billion (that we arrived at after the calculation during our argument) on anything other than healthcare would be a bad idea with the economy already suffering visible degradation. People just need to think. Some things are almost impossible to do. |
Are you guys aware the USA whom Trump governs just recorded another high mortality rate in respect to the Covid-19 sickness just yesterday? Why Italy, then? Why ain't it (his presciptions) aiding NewYork and the entire USA from recording a hike in death rate? Come to think of it, the government is even warning the populace there might be a further hike in coming week. And that's the America the Trump is governing. Or is the treatment alien to the American doctors? Pathetic! Lets give unto Italy what's due them. They might be trying all sort of things which seem to be working these few days but that doesn't give the accolade to anybody else other than the frontliners on the fields; the doctors, nurses, the Italian government and the populace who are also doing their bits to put an end to the disaster in their midst. Before you come for me, check google and see how far the Americans death rate had fare these couple of weeks. |
Designerdollars:Don't wish for yourself what you can't stand. Be guided. |
Is this news? More like saying CR7 and Messi had scored a lot of goals in their career. I think Sagay should rather tell us what we don't know. But this that he said... Well even the unborn knows the relationship our politicians share with money; AND THOSE INCLUDE SAGAY HIMSELF. Next pls. |
Alanpoza007:Perhaps the person in question had gotten a change of phoneline and/or had filed in a date that doesn't correllate with his/her age in his/her LASSRA form. Yes, I heard of a couple of people who had difficulty replying the received message successfully which will allow them the opportunity to recieve the largesse at their resident but all eligible persons above sixty are considered; you can take that to the bank. I'm saying this because I know someone in the KNOW and had heard of this even before it came to the media. Mind you, this has not circulated around yet. They are still covering the Island with the Mainland coming in few days. |
@Oloworulz I disagree about the Third Mainland thing. The conception of the Third Mainland Bridge project was that of the first state governor, Mobolaji Johnson (of blessed memory) and was started by the state even though it was later projected into the FG plan because of fund inadequacy. So for the record, the Third Mainland Bridge wasn't started by Babangida; the Fg only came to the rescue because they were begged for support after it was clear the LASG of the time had undertaken a project bigger than her purse. Having said that though, the BUHARI ADMINISTRATION DESERVE THE ACCOLADE FOR THIS RAIL PROJECT. I wonder what the PDP apologist are wailing about here. They claim their party signed the MOU but they failed to realise that the deal had been around for almost sixteen years, cancelled and revisited without any measure to put a start to it all those years i don't understand why they are having problem giving honour to whom is due. |
executive12:It's not propaganda, it's real. But the problem is that the state had only those above the 60 years markn in their focus; and well, that's not all, these people must also have registered with LASSRA as a resident. So my dear, don't hope to get anything if you're younger and have not registered. That's everything I know about the process. |
VaselineCrew:What does the article say? School me. Don't forget to read again yourself and then, go through what I wrote carefully before responding this time. |
kikero:Thanks for this info. Most of the guys are lazy here so they simply hold on to anything cast at them whether true or false. 'Looking forward to the day "Fake News" becomes a big crime not only in Nigeria but all over the world. Perhaps, by then, we might have a sane world. |
Perhaps the word "poor" has just got another meaning. If what I'm seeing in the neighbourhood is anything to go by, only a couple of people above sixty had been messaged by the LASG and even so, none of them had recieved any payment since. This ain't no time to play pranks... let the FG expantiate on whom are in their focus, how they are sharing the cash (or intend to share the cash as the case may be) and what amount they are sharing. Otherwise, this is another BIG BIG HOAX. Perhaps it's time we stepped forward to defend our right. |
In as much as I want to believe and accept what the Hon. Minister has said, I still can't see beyond the need to procure as many as we can get to empower many of our hospitals across all states, including the FCT. If the ventilator is a support system for the people who have difficulty in breathing, then it's a necessity in case after corona virus, a patient need it in future after suffering from another similar ailment that affect proper breathing, in a remote neighbourhood. You might think, the solution to this is a simple procedure of transferring the said patient to the nearest facility that has the ventilator. But sometimes, in the event of transferring a patient from one facility to another, life may be lost. #MyThoughtThough. |
Good news. More of this awaited. #StaySafe. #Sanitize #All_Is_Well |
GamalNasser:Com'on, be optimistic and patriotic for once. You guys always clamour for and tend to believe facts cast at you from certain western media (especially when it degrade your country) but when it seems the media reel out good news about the forwardness of the economy and/or good policies, you still find an excuse to batter the government. Can't you guys be happy something is going right for once; even if it's a pretext. SMH! |
Amberon11:D Bible was corrupted overtym by peeps trying to translate into different languages thereby creating different meanings from the original and with that done overtym these lengthy centuries, you can bet the series we have around today are surely a testification. As per Moslems being gullible, I will say those were the unreasonable few who smear Islam with the dirt around it today cos God Himself never wants you following anything blindly and there are Quranic verses supporting that let alone Hadith and Sunnah. Islam proclaim the necessity of education even for worship and enjoin every individual toy acquire it to the best of his capability. I dare say the few sect are ignorant of the book cos I fail to see where Quran wanted u to kill an innocent irrespective of his faith except that he'd deliberately committed murder himself.. Jihad, the holy fights, only occurred cos wMoslems then were being victimized and was stopped immediately Moslems gained the upper hand not when the violators converted. |
