The former Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola has attributed the looting of the Osun Government House to “unknown men.”



Oyetola said it was not his intention to imperil his successor, incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke’s new administration.


Funke Egbemode, the ex-information commissioner under Mr Oyetola, said “unknown men” were behind the looting, asserting it was “beyond laughable” to accuse “a man of Oyetola’s pedigree of taking away the Government House cooker.”


Egbemode, in her statement, said relevant security outfits were duly informed of the looting perpetrated by “unknown men.”


“It is also important to note here that the state commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, was officially informed of the looting of the official residence of Deputy Governor Gboyega Alabi and other quarters within the Government House by ‘unknown men’,” asserted Ms Egbemode in her statement.


“In a letter with reference number SEC 43T/352, dated November 25, 2022, and signed by A.T. Komolafe on behalf of the coordinating director, Governor’s Office, the NSCDC was notified of the ongoing looting of government properties in different quarters following the then-Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s departure from the premises,” she explained.



“Mr Komolafe, in the letter, asked for armed security to stop the looting in the Government House of Okefia GRA.”


For the matter to have been officially reported to the NSCDC, Ms Egbemode said the newly sworn Adeleke administration must be “confused” to still level allegations of looting against his predecessor.


“So, how exactly is Mr Oyetola guilty of this looting by ‘unknown men’ after he had vacated Government House? The apparent confusion of this new government keeps deepening with every new step it takes,” the ex-commissioner said.


She explained that “if, as claimed, it has established a review committee for stock-taking, why is it launching a media trial to force its pre-conceived conclusions down the public’s throat?”

However, Mr Adeleke’s spokesman Olawale Rasheed said the new governor had a duty to report what he met on the ground since the “Oyetola administration refused to conduct proper handing over.”

Commending the ex-commissioner for confirming there was indeed looting of the Government House, Mr Rasheed cautioned her not to “attack the new administration that is cleaning up the mess created by her former boss

Part 6.

We finally landed in Nigeria, it’s been 4 years since I visited home, so everything was looking so weird. I went straight to nearby hotel of 4k per night( that was what I could afford)

I quickly unpacked some stuff I needed, at this point I knew I couldn’t survive in Nigeria cos of so many reasons. I knew i needed to leave the country one way or the other.

I checked my passport expiry date and I noticed it has just 2 months left on it. I quickly went to the immigration office in ikoyi to renew my passport. The process wasn’t easy at all, but I succeeded in completing all the process. I was informed the passport would be out in a months time.

I can’t stay in an hotel for one month, so I decided to go back to my parents. My family leaves somewhere in Northern NIGERIA. I couldn’t afford to travel by air, so I opted for the alternative which is traveling by road. I KNEW IT WAS VERY RISKY, but what can I do ?

We started the journey from lagos, everything was going on smoothly, the passengers onboard were all happy and cheerful. When we got to lokoja in kogi state, the driver stopped for us to get some refreshments, I did not buy anything because I was avoiding a runny stomach.

After about 15mins everybody was done with there refreshments, we entered the vehicle and continued the journey. I slept off, when I woke up i noticed we just entered the Abuja-kaduna highway.

At this point, I was praying hard because i know that road very well, it is one of the most dangerous in the country.

What I saw next looked more like a dream than reality, I noticed some Fulani men coming out from the bush nearby with AK47 and all sort of strange looking guns.
I knew this was a problem, I quickly informed the driver of what was happening. The passengers onboard started to panic, I was so afraid but I did not panic. In my head was looking for the nearest escape route. And getting my self ready just in case they open fire on the bus. They got really close to our vehicle I knew there was trouble……………

During this situation, in my mind I quickly scanned through my days living in that country to see any my possible crime I might have committed. But surely their was non.

Most travelers at the airport started recording the scenes. The police had to stop them and prevent any other phone recordings. I was detained and taken to a room for questioning, they asked me a lot of questions, and gave the police men and immigration officers the answers they needed. For about 15 minutes, my records and activities in the country were scanned through, and nothing implicating was found on my records.

At this point I knew something wasn’t right, I was thinking they found some drugs on my luggages, but I don’t do drugs neither do I have drug addicts as friends. After some minutes, I was informed that my company haven’t cleared me for traveling. WTF.

I was happy and very angry at the same time. I was happy because I did not commit any crime and sad because my company had frustrated me to this point.

I tried calling my company to clear me for traveling that night, and to my greatest surprise, they told me to get back into the city and wait for them to clear me and that might take a week or 2.

A week or two, OMG. I barely had enough money on me to take a taxi back home, I don’t even have a home because the day of my travel was my last day in my apartment.

I quickly called the airline I was to travel with, and I explained everything to the airline customer care. They understood and my checked in luggage was brought back from the aircraft.

I also called my landlady to inform her of the recent developments and to my greatest surprise, she was willing to let me stay for free.

I got taxi back home after stopping halfway because that is what I could afford.

I met her through facebook few months ago, we chatted and the rest is history. I wanted something serious with her and i told her severally because I wasn't too comfortable with the numerous calls she receives from guys.

One day a friend of mine told me that someone he knows collected her number and my so call girlfriend slept over at the guys place after just two days of knowing the guy. I confronted her, she denied initially but later owned up and apologized. I forgave her because I know no one is perfect.

Few days ago i put on auto record on her phone and this night she is at my place sleeping so i open the records and there is this particular conversation where she travel to a near by state to see another guy.
Im just confused right now. I have invested so much emotions on this gal and don't know what to do.

Despite that she is working and the little time she has, she spent it at my place she still got time to be meeting and sleeping with random men for money. I'm thinking of confronting and breaking up with her right now or just codedly place her on the level she deserves and let this slide.
