Mogidi: The keyword is "politics" and you know it.
Fashola saying a good student doesn't repeat the same class and Buhari saying 2011 would be his last election are examples of politicians playing real politics. The Fashola and Buhari Nigerians know will not rescind and outrightly deny a PACT they enter with APC leaders not to re-contest a second term. NEVER. There is a difference between a WISH and an AGREEMENT which is a bond. |

Mogidi: Did Fashola not say a good student doesn't repeat the same class? Guess what, Fashola repeated the same class and nothing happened, I didn't see people crucifying him.
Buhari said 2011 elections would be his last, you made him a hero when he came back to contest 2015. Obasanjo wanted not just two terms but three terms, you didn't crucify him.
Bunch of losers. Keyword here is honesty. He shouldn't have outrightly denied there was no such thing. The worst a man of honor should do is accept and advance reasons why he should be given another shot which I believed would have been obliged. Instead he totally denied and challenged anyone to bring forward an evidence maybe because he has seen to the destruction of the signed document. A president should not be caught lying. |

I don't care about all this advice. All I ponder about is all this conspiracy theory of how some regions conspired to get GEJ out of office. My question now is all these politicians are telling us Nigeria is not yet ripe for the change of a failed, weak, corrupt and divisive leader? That is anybody that gets to Aso Rock, even if he sleeps and snores for 4 years must get a second term because it is the turn of their region? Gradually we are seeing the mindset of our so called leaders that led us to our current situation. These kind of leaders with chop-I-chop thought process should never get near power for this country to progress. None of them have been able to identify any weak point and failure of the president that led to his loss at the polls. Mogidi: Devolution of power is what I stand for, with GEJ or without GEJ. Excessive power in the hands of power-drunk dictator like Buhari is dangerous.
GEJ never abused his power like Buhari did in the 80s, jailing anyone that has the temerity to scrutinize his actions or inactions. But he exercised it by unleashing his goons in DSS, Army and Nigerian police on any member of the opposition who do not buy into his divisive pattern of leadership abi? Under Jonathan the DSS, Police and the Nigerian Army became arms of the presidency. Jonathan committed more infractions than any military ruler ever did in the past albeit quietly as if he had no knowledge. |

These reactions showed that you people closed eyes to those issues and tried to give wrong impression about cicumstances surrounding violence in the North which was meant to cause confusion and discredit Jonathan government. All people cannot be fooled all the time.
It was easier to conspire and destroy than to come together and build. Plenty stories. How about we do same violence to our own people and land to cause confusion and discredit Buhari's government? Is it too much to ask for? |

Nkanta: Buhari and and his fellow hausa fulani in the north promised to make the country ungovernable for GEJ before and after he won the 2011 election. They used boko haram, religious violent, hate speeches and preaching, insults, and connived with their slaves in the west to see nothing good in GEJ's government just to return power to the north. GEJ played into their hands by giving all the power to Jega, one of their own, and the rest is history. Can Jonathan and our leaders down south do same and vow to make the country ungovernable for Buhari also? At least we can start by killing anyone on sight in Bayelsa and Rivers, kidnap girls from Rumeme Girls High school, rape and traumatize them for one year. Throw bombs in mosques, markets, churches and motor parks. Go to Government College Ughelli and kill all the boys in the hostel. Annex all the communities in the riverine areas and chase away all our parents and children to refugee camps in Portharcourt and Warri.
How about we start now so that Buhari can fail in his government also? |

Did you see the title/ headline? then Buhari is simply yearning dust like the DoroDullard that he was, is & will always be. I never missed it but your subsequent lines diminished whatever good you see in it and that is what I addressed. If this man has good intentions and is ready to carry them out we don't have any option but to give him support. GEJ lost the love of the people when he chose to romance with the very people who steal us blind and even went further to embolden them. My support for GMB is not blind. If he derails and start going against the wishes and aspirations of Nigerians I bet you the opposition will be massive. Politicians are very greedy species of human beings be it in PDP or APC. If GMB succeeds in cleansing the system the benefits will not be limited to his supporters alone likewise if he fails. At the moment his body language suggests he wants to bring about change and I insists all reasonable Nigerians give him support. |
Politics › Re: No Pension For Ex Governors - Buhari ( Vanguard) by philips70(m): 8:52am On Apr 15, 2015 |
anonimi: I agree it is a good thing but have we asked ourselves whether the president has CONSTITUTIONAL authority over these matters? If the answer is NO, then Buhari is simply yearning dust like the DoroDullard that he was, is & will always be.
He should be talking realistically of PERSUADING the state houses of assembly not to approve such pensions.
We are in a democracy not a military DICTATORSHIP! But why allow emotions and hatred becloud your judgment? Is there anywhere in that article that suggests Buhari wants to autocratically achieve this? The man only declares his intentions and may be looking into persuading the state assemblies via lobbies and robust national debates to achieve this noble aim. That the corrupt outgoing president could not muster enough political will to deal with the greed and avarice of politicians do not mean an incoming serious president can't. I advise you people put your misguided ethnic sentiments aside and support every noble idea this man has to move the nation away from the current doldrums. Ain't you thrilled most of the states that have passed this law are APC states yet he wants to move against them? Is that not a sign he will not spare anybody whether APC or PDP in his quest for a better Nigeria? The man and everyone knows he's no longer in a military regime where he will be using fiat to achieve his goals so must have thought about every single step intends to use. You guys cut him some slack, sit back and watch him do what our brother from the Niger Delta could not do. No sentiments, a goldfish have no hiding place and we have sighted one. |
