Thank you for this piece.

Ychick:
Hi guys,

I just want to say the following:

1. NCDMB is largely on merit. So just calm down, do your preparation for the test and if you pass, you will have a job offer in your hands.
2. NCDMB payment is very good, as their funding comes from multinationals, they take 1-2% of all oil and gas contracts in Nigeria.
3. It is very organised and the Nigerian factor there is not too high.
4. On Pay, this is what I can tell you, 5 years ago, an entry level lawyer (contract staff) earned 250,000 a month.
So I encourage you all, to prep for the test and calm down with the anxiety.

PS-it is also a permanent job as they are moving into their new head quarters and need staff.

Pls, can you give an idea how the questions are like.

DonShearer:
Very true my brother. When I had my shot, we were called for a selection that was held on 3rd August 2015, on reaching the venue we were giving exams. after the exams we were asked to wait for an hour.
The result came out after an hour and the successful ones had their medicals on that same day. Last Friday of same month guys, the lucky ones were engaged. I got the shot and I don't know any body in the government. Only my God!!! Just pray and be positive.

Dear Friends,

My child's school just sent their school fees for next term and it is 230K undecided which an increase of 100k from last term. The boy is starting Preschool 2 next term and he's 2+ years old.

I am sure this is not sustainable at my current level of income and so I need suggestion of good and affordable nursery and primary schools in Surulere. I prefer one that is not far from Shitta.

Thank you and God bless.

grin grin I promise I have come out. So I read the pamphlet and it only slays not to give to babies below 3 months. I don't even know how I can increase her water intake. She doesn't like water. Im still trying though. As for trying other foods, is love to, only I don't know how I can introduce spoon feeding. First time I tried It, she refused to eat. I'll take her to the hospital this weekend . Thank you.
For spoon feeding, try giving her solid( puree and all) with spoon first before giving her breastmilk or formula because if you give her milk, she will be abit full and reject the food with a spoon.

Also, no rushing just patience and consistency.

URGENT PLEASE!!!!
Hello mummies, please i need help.
My 18 Month old has been having difficulty pooping for a while now. He can go two days without pooping because it is usually hard. He strains, runs around the house and cry before passing it out. It’s becoming worrisome because i give him oranges everyday to ease it but it still comes out really hard and painful.
I’m suspecting cerelac or custard as the culprits but i havent been able to establish it because i have tried to take out these two from his diet but sometimes it comes out hard.
Other foods he takes are potato, noodles, pasta, rice and the likes. We hardly do swallow.
What can i do please? I need a lasting solution asap oo.
Food rich in fibre works well for children with constipation e.g oat, Apple. Banana causes constipation for some children while it's also rich in fibre. So if you have been giving him banana, I will advice you reduce the quantity.

Please I officially sign into this thread. I actually stumbled on it by mistake after looking for ways to enhance breastfeeding. Lol. I enjoyed my time at pregnant or not thread with wonderful mums and their advice. Ppl like Adorablewifey, zaynie, pearl, and a host of wonderful people. So I believe I will learn a lot here from everyone. I'm a ftm. Please what can I do for constipated baby on formula and bf?
For constipated baby, what worked for my lo was I reduced the quantity of milk written on the pack and increased the water, like 40:60 ratio and it relieved my lo of constipation.

Good morning sabi mamas and New mums!

Catarrh and the likes are common in little ones, we should try as much as possible reduce giving medication except no other choose and prescribed by a paed.

Catarrh takes like 5days and reduce afterwards and during this period, we can help our lo by doing steam inhalation, ensure to keep them warm but not too too warm by excessive loading them with too much clothes to avoid them running temperature and give plenty cuddles and keep them hydrated even it is little water or milk or any type of healthy fluid. It sure helps and if after those days, there is no improvement, pls go to the hospital. My one naira smiley

@jesse21, you can try finger foods, maybe it will make your lo eat something.

Hi mamas, it's been a while. Happy new year to you all. My baby Ree has gone to be with the Lord, that was on 21st January. It hasn't been easy but God has been faithful, and like everyone keep saying, the one that would stay would come. I just use my hand console myself cos I did my best for him. May God protect our Los in Jesus name, Amen. I know affliction can't rise a second time but I don't want double for my trouble (twins).
Stay safe everyone.
@beyedew, it is well with you, may God himself console and comfort you during this period, soon we shall all come and rejoice with you and God will surprise you soon that you won't be able to comprehend it. May God's face continue to shine upon and be gracious to you. Take heart dear, it is well with you and make God strengthen you and your household in Jesus name, Amen.

Hello mamas

Please my DS of a year and one week is refusing to chew his food. If I give him anything that does not have the consistency or texture of pap/ custard he usually swallows at once without trying to soften the food in his mouth first. Even very soft mashed rice or beans, he just swallows at once and starts coughing and choking. It has to be very watery and almost liquid before he can eat it without coughing because he doesn't chew or mix food in the mouth with spit first.

I don't know how to teach him to chew his food.
Help me.
Maybe you can try with food that are not completely mashed and see if he accepts it.
