I have met those guys several time on that same bridge. If they notice your height and boldness without fear when approaching you, they will start begging "agba tallest find us something na make we use chop" if I am in a good mood, I will just drop 500 or 200 make them carry their problem go, if I don't feel like dropping anything, I would walk away very fast from that spot and tell them "everywhere dry, maybe next time" One aboki, a bikeman even told me to be very careful, that those guys move with guns when he saw me with them from afar. That bridge is dangerous at night. |

Bhiti: Hello everyone. My apologies for the long story. I sincerely need your advise.
A friend had an altercation with the Nigerian Police 6 years ago. He was threatened that they were going to deal with him because he refused to settle them but rather took them to court. He won the court case and felt that was the end. He recently discovered that they went ahead to share malicious news and his details with different blogs after the case 6 years ago.
In between then and now, he has applied for a US visa and got declined with no reason stated. Some days ago, a foreign employer drew his attention to what he found about him on Google: The crazy blog stories.
The issue now is: How does he go about clearing his record? The embassy would have felt he lied when he said he had no criminal record. Does he submit his court decision? Kindly note that most of these blogs have no contact details and no longer functional.
Also, he is about to apply for a Canadian student visa. Thank you for your responses in advance A friend of mine also has his name on google for exam malpractice. Could this be why he has been getting negative responses from Canadian employers? |

Agbebakun22: its crazy tho different companies have their writing style guide but you must pass their test before you're consider to work for them. The pay depends on the company. TranscribeMe pay range is btw $15-$25p/hr for an audio hour. But must follow their writing style. An hr audio could take u over 5hrs sometimes especially if the audio is poor recorded. I will leave the job soon and spend time on the ALX SE coming up nxt month. You determine how much u make as long there are files to transcribe. Mind u laptop, foot pedal, stable internet is prequisite to do the job and also u will definitely need a headset if u want to consider it as a career. They pay u through paypal(almost transcribing firm)pay u with paypal. I am still studying transcribeMe exam and writing guidelines be attempting the exam. Can you please recommend a good headset with noise cancellation function? |

Went to their office very well dressed. One officer saw me and said he has seen his wife. I said me kwa, I have seen my husband.
That was how he was carrying my file upandan. “Capture my wife!”.
E ask for number, I give am.
Two days later I told him I want to take him for lunch. He said “haba, by 2pm? I would be working”. Of course I knew he would be working. I just wanted it to be on record that I offered. Though I knew his response before asking.
Immediately he called that my passport was out. I collected it and blocked him.
