ojesymsym: You have said it. A one bedroom flat or self contain remain my best model of rental building if I am to go into go into real estate. Even if one tenant defaults you still have other tenants to collect money from. In most places in Lagos, they won't even allow you finish building before they start chasing you with money. That's why it's easy for fraudulent agents to collect money from more tenants than available flats in such buildings because of high demand. Very true, and some intending tenants money will be used to finished the house cause it's what they can easily afford. |

Adonko: No beef..this is the simple truth. You were not sworn in,in any nations of the world it takes swearing in to be a president of that nation and that did not happen to Abiola.
The FG have already declared a day for you guyz and tagged it as Democracy day, even though we know the actual Democracy day is May 29, so pls don't push it.
If you are given a hand shake don't take an arm shake.
That's how you guyz will wake up tomorrow and say Nigeria/Nigerians should just install his son as the president without election as a way to honour Abiola ..imagine who does that, enough of Abiola issue is high time we face important issues bothering the living. Perfect comment their wahala too much. |

adekS1: I av seen patients dying of coronavirus, some dead at IDH,yaba...
But wat baffles me is that is it fear thats making our media personnel not to enter the wards where symptomatic patients are kept to at least calm the nerves of doubters.
They shd wear the overall PPEs n enter those rooms cos l feel they are afraid of getting close to these patients thats why its bn difficult getting those videos n pics. TVC crew visited Yaba some days back but didn't enter the main ward. They were interviewing some patients from the window. |

omat20: Here in Lagos, people wear the mask on their jaw. No social distancing. Crowds in markets, business places, etc. Why will the cases not rise and Sanwo-Olu is considering reopening schools I don't want to talk about the commercial buses in my route. The government don't care anymore. |

Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Phyde: 6:16pm On Jun 04, 2020 |
4tunebest: I just want to put this out there for someone earning low and feels quite disadvantaged by default as regards saving from the meagre income. There is always this overwhelming feeling about how much/how long do you have to save to accrue a significant amount.
In the year 2012-2014, I was earning 27k as an M.Sc. holder and still saved enough to live well and eat good, nutritious food . My personal utilities for my wedding was also from the savings I had from this meagre income.
Now, I save over 80% of my salary monthly. That saving culture didn't jump on me today. It started several years ago when I was earning a meagre sum of 27k, even though I wasn't able to save more than 10% of my income as at then.
The key is living below your means. Do not compare yourself with others. Be grateful for the little you have. These 3keys are ways of life that opens the door to gradual albeit steady abundance; increasing your income and consequently, your ability to save more. Many don't have family and friends support like others, no position where they can be getting egunje, some people recharge card gifts daily, when calculate it for a month is even greater than their 2 months salary. If you are in Lagos presently and your office is far from home, that 27k won't be enough for your transport alone for 2 weeks without support. I have seen and interact with people, i know what they are facing. Never compare yourself to others. Some people hardly eat once a day |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Phyde: 2:42pm On Jun 04, 2020 |
Satoshi2019: I beg to disagree. When I was earning 35k 4years ago I had my monthly savings. Savings is a culture irrespective of earnings. Even though i agreed with you on ''savings is a culture'' but do you know we have people that their transportation to work alone is more than their monthly take home pay and they still go to work just because they don't wanna stay at home, hoping for a better tomorrow. I have seen some who have already spent their salary before receiving it just to settle accumulated debt. |
