Rushi should have been chosen the first time over Liz because everyone knew he could do the job. Liz was not chosen based on capability.

They had no choice, they have messed up and needed someone to clear up the mess. They were desperate because they were loosing money by the day in investments.

This happens all the time, you go for an interview, they pick a white person over you. That person messes up and they call you in to clean the mess. ( I’m talking from personal experience).

Hi Justwise, I have indeed seen you come down hard on people who attempt to bend the rules, and you also provide a lot of support to genuine people. Kudos for the great work you do.

I don't think Gemma was criticising all immigrants -her argument was mainly that some are now shining a negative light on the psw route because they are "over doing" it and making it bait to the govt that it's being abused by economic migrants masquerading as students. She raised some points which are not popular but are valid - the influx of students and crucially their families- is adding pressure to an already heated housing market and other infrastructure like schools and the NHS. The school fees go to the universities and not to the communities, so it is the councils that have to fund school places, housing etc for new arrivals. The university collects its money and looks away lol

However, I also completely agree with your point that the UK govt should plan better to provide the necessary infrastructure for the migrants it is collecting fees from, or else limit numbers and ask the Universities to find alternative sources of funding or become leaner.

Same here that’s what I gathered from her statement but I think later she contradicted herself in other statements she made. . The whole thread came down on her like a tonne of bricks . Someone was even calling for her to be banned. Not very nice.

Apart from visa fees each member of the family and the main applicant pay £624 a year for IHS and those under the age of 18 pays £470.

So for 2 and half year student visa each family members pays £1248 even before they use NHS and when they get to the UK and start working they still pay for NI and during their visa extension they will still pay £1248 each.

So tell me how many British citizen pay that much yearly for NHS even if they don't use it?

Most British tax payers pay National insurance contributions of almost 13% of their wages every month.

Students consisting of a grown man/wife & partner with 3- 5 kids is not normal and taxing on the system. Yes they are paying for healthcare but are they also paying for school places, books, pens, free food and all the other amenities that these children use? It is something when British Born children can't find a place in school because a new Nigerian immigrant child has taken their place.

There are more Indians and Chinese coming in as students than Nigerians but these are genuine students coming alone to study. It is the Nigerians who are packing whole families here.

You are allowed to rent a room in your house tax free under the rent an room scheme. More or less take in a lodger. As long as the income is not more than £7,500 per annum.

Two weeks ago in a TV interview they asked Liz whose idea the mini-budget was and she said it was within the chancellor's purview and so he was responsible. I knew from then that if someone was going to get axed, he'd definitely be the first.

It has to be linked to the NI for anything to be deduced or to be large enough to be flagged as money laundering

My thoughts though

When money comes into your account from an unknown source especially from abroad, it’s flagged by the bank and sometimes unknown to you the HMRC will do a credit check on you, It will be a soft search. It will show on your report. What this means?, is that the bank will alert HMRC. If this continues, you run the risk of getting your account closed down. ( only if the source of the money cannot be traced) These days the source of income can be traced as banks all over the world work hand in hand. Only certain countries like Iran, Russia etc and a few others. This is the reason why certain banks don’t accept funds from Iran etc.
