The news making the rounds on social media now is about the mummified bodies found in a ritualist den in Benin city early this week, you need to see that video...human beings were dried and stacked whole like kpanla fish, some never even dry finish.

Those are the outcome of get rich quick syndrome, yet we condemn the earnings of legitimate hussle.
Nigerian bloggers are some of the worst in the world. They don’t investigate stories before bringing them on social media. When I was sent that video on WhatsApp, I knew there was more to the story. It turns out the it was an abandoned mortuary. Stories like this don’t do good for Nigeria. It creates traffic for bloggers but causes damage to the country, that’s why we should be very careful when passing on such videos. We don’t have to believe stories of all these illiterate bloggers especially when it doesn’t make sense.

Hello Elders, I spent 6 months already in my rented apartment as stated in the Tenancy agreement. My landlady just told me verbally she sold the house, that the new owner would not be subleting and I need to quickly look for another place.

I'm thinking I should ask for an official eviction notice with the hope that I will have some time to look for a comfortable place for my family.

How does these things work in this country please?
What your Land lady has done is illegal. She needs to go through the proper channels and serve you eviction notice.
She has actually shot herself in the foot. She sold the house on vacant possession without making sure that the property was empty. If the new owners find you in the property they will sue her for breach of contract. She has got a lot to loose here.

Liz Truss was asked today at a hustings event what her favourite song is and she replied soundtrack theme song from the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger.
Can you guess, mates, who sang it? Dame Shirley Bassey!
Her father, Henry bassy was a Nigerian.

Nigerians are making giant strides everywhere we go.
But her father didn’t sing the song ni? grin huh

He was arrested and deported for raping a child. So I wouldn’t shout his name too loud.

Has anyone done the work from home tax refund?
Yes it’s very easy , just go on the HMRC website. They will adjust your tax code. If you file tax returns, then do it with it.

Don’t pay anyone to do it for you except you really want to.

When FG isn't doing their duties, I blast them, so I believe it's necessary to praise them where they've lived up to expectations. I applied for 10yrs passport online and went to the biometric interview on the 20th. While the queuing there, and the long wait for what was less than a 10min engagement wasn't ideal, my passport was delivered two days later, so I believe whatever they've done to optimise their processes requires commendation.
Also they need to get a cleaner to clean all the black cobwebs in that place. It’s an embarrassment.

Thank you for this information. I was in the habit of paying everything almost immediately. It now makes sense to wait for statement first.

Is it if you don't pay anything immediately after statement is generated that it can be said that you have missed a payment or after 21 days of statement generation?
When you receive your statement it will have a deadline payment date. Try to pay anytime before the deadline. You can pay the statement balance if you don’t want to pay interest . Minimum balance is like paying mortgage on your CC. You can also pay more than your statement balance if you want to balance out the next statement balance. (Just in case you have spent more and it hasn’t shown on this statement but might tip over the next statement balance).

Yes because it’s important for our ecosystem. When last did you see a butterfly in Nigeria? We are depleting our forest. The only African animals left are in foreign zoos and animal refuge centres. It should be taken seriously, it’s no longer a joke.

Since arriving the Uk this year, one thing i have come to know or notice about Nigerians who have lived here longer is them always claiming to know everything about anything. They always claim to be knowledgeable about everything that concerns the Uk especially when they notice you're new in the UK and seek for advice on things. My brethren, be careful with these type of people. I'd say they're 90% of Nigerians here who have these traits. They'll mislead you, give you false information and leave you to your fate if it goes wrong for you. I see some of them on this thread and wont mention name. Sometimes i wonder if they do these things intentionally just to get you into some type of difficulty or problem. I am saying this from an ugly experience i just got out of and that has made me have a rethink of wanting to really join the Nigerian community. Be mindful of "some" Nigerians here who always want to claim elder and Mr know it all. Them no sabi anything and most of them who claim to have been here longer don't have papers, na pali oni pali dem dey use and trust me, you that came in via student route, work visa are way better than them. They are filled with pure undiluted wickedness. Just my 2cent though.
There’s too much negativity in this your post, especially the bolded, Just because you had a bad experience from one person. 90% is too high to tar people on this forum. Based on my experience, many people on this forum are only trying to help. What your post has done is to discourage people from giving out the little knowledge they know about certain things. Maybe it will be better for them to keep quiet so there’s no backlash. So many people have come on here to testify how information on here helped them with their application or save money. It’s always nice to choose our words carefully.

We are all here to learn form each other both new and old.

Some people are sick they can’t help themselves. it’s called Kleptomania and the worst part is that they do these things in front of their young kids. While some people are passing on generational wealth to their kids, others are passing on looting techniques . This same people go to parties with a big bacco bag , place it underneath the table and start pillling the jack daniels and other drinks meant for everyone one on the table into the bag. Without a care in the world. Too sad.

And then you will complain about politicians that get into government office and raid the treasury because they spent a lot of money for nomination forms and campaigning. No matter how we try to sugarcoat it or dress it up. When you take something that doesn’t belong to you. It’s called stealing.
