I believe she was severely abused

I believe she was not mature enough physically and emotionally

I believe she was provoked

I believe she killed the man under severe provocation


She may have had other options which may have been untenable - poor relatives, no education etc

She just reacted without thinking - a product of her maturity and AGE

tbaba1234: This story reminds me of a woman who murdered her husband in his sleep, shot him pointblank.

Seemed an open and shot case until evidence showed that she had been abused over a long period by the husband. He was not available to defend himself and she got a light sentence. I personally thought she had other options.

In this case, she is quite young and it could be a case of her getting pregnant maybe at 14 and having to marry the father. Marriage with parental consent at that age is legal in some places like New york etc. Very subjective argument in my opinion.

As regards the killing, it is difficult to evaluate her state of mind at that time. She was been beaten. If the abuse was consistent over a period, then she might have a strong case for self defense.

Did she have the option of getting away? Not easy with two kids, how do you leave them? This might very well be premeditated manslaughter if she was looking for a way out.

Either ways, did she have other options? Why didn't she explore them?

My dad may not have been a good dad to me but it is not enough reason to say such dads are rare because I see such dads around me a lot. They are not rare. As much as I love my mum and all mothers, we tend to overbloat their efforts to discredit the men as if they are completely useless in catering for their kids.

No matter how bad you think your dad is, you wouldn't be where you are today without his little efforts in your life. In addition, every parent is only fulfilling their divine constitutional roles. I do not believe parents are doing their children any favour because the children did not plead to come to the world.
