Op is right..remember, marriage is different from dating...in marriage parents ought to involve 100%, the fear of parents and God combined will always make couple to think twice when they are about doing drastic things to themselves, that's how it was then.

It rhymes nicely that's why.. Slaves to each other and d kids..mostly d woman slaves though as the bulk of the work falls on her.Studies prove that by the way so no need to argue.

]
It is good u say slaves to each other as that is the true situation

A man subjugates himself to the betterment of his family while the woman does same

When u say work..I guess you talk of house chores

Is it the same chores that are being taken up by men to support their wives

Is it technology that is making chores less cumbersome

This chores you women rant about....

Hmmm

Why on earth would I want to do my wedding in my village? What if she didn't grow up in the said villa? What if all her friends and colleagues are in the 'city'? What if she prefers the city feel.
Village get levels abeg...who doesn't want lovely wedding pictures and a nice party before tying herself to everlasting slavery aka marriage..
She must have good reasons for not wanting it there.
Chaiii...poor girl.
Next time, you get with someone with the same taste as you or you wait till you save enough and bear the cost of a non village palm frond wedding.
Why do u refer to marriage like that
This is extreme....

Women take care of the house, take care of the kids, wash clothes,go to work and you find them trying to split bills with an irresponsible man & she also fights hard to keep the man.Na wa ooo where is all this strenght from?

[color=#000033] Fellaini was struggling with a nagging knee injury all of Moyes days. He had to go for a corrective surgery before this season began.

I think he has come a long way from the gangling and uncoordinated defensive midfielder to a utility man who can push forward in the absence of a sharp attacking options.

His ability in the air is something to commend and his passing accuracy is above average too.

And thank God....his hands are not too much in the air this season.....lol.

Referring to someone as deaf and dumb cos they don't agree with your opinion is very wrong , in the very least asking for their opinion and explaining why it might be wrong isn't too much to ask for. I really don't know how to explain this but let me give u an example.

A guy came for my hand in marriage immediately after my high school.
These r what he told me he want me to do.
That I should go and learn how to sow.
Don't ever learn hair dressing cos they gossip too much.
And the last. U will not further ur education cos graduates r wild and disobedient cheesy

In all these,he didn't allow me to talk.
Don't know if I want to learn how to sow.

That's imposing ur will.

U demand for things to be done ur way or no way at all.
Its clear

many of them will not know this is nothing to do with politics. they might see it as a smear campaign meant to take food out of ambode's mouth.

that was exactly what i advised.....
he should move on. he has enough time to work, save money and get another house.

You are right and that was the reason she claimed was the reason why the house was in her name. But she claimed she had stopped paying the mortgage and got some FCMB guys to throw her husband out while she travelled. She then moved back into the house.

Another twist was that her mother and sister lived with them all along and even the mother was so disrespectful to the husband. The mother also knew of her relationship with Ambode.
Disrespect?

There were more issues then
Family › Re: What A Married Woman Did Because Of Money - Nigeriapulse.com by pickabeau1: 7:33pm On Apr 04, 2015
Let's be real here

Maybe the house had to be in her name for the refinancing arrangements

Most likely he used a more expensive loan to build the house
She then used her position to get a more favorable deal so in a sense it's also her house

However trust is lost

I'm insulted. angry

Some of us have responsibilities since teenagers, conduct a whole building site and pay the labourers and suppliers , account for everything to our parent(s), after school work.

Accountability moral has been ingrained into our lives from ground up. Being a woman doesn't make a woman irresponsible, we are strong and can great at multitasking cool and that's just one of many great xtics.

We are saying almost the same thing.
. People treat marriage like it's a magical Union. Boy meets girl, both 'fall in love' and magically live happily ever after. No one talks about the obstacles they might come across or the misunderstandings or the disappointments. If you ask too much they will tell you 'love conquers all'. Nonsense.

Marriage should not be based on love but on mutual agreement and understanding. The love and respect will develop naturally afterwards.
Cool

To give more perspective for men, when you see a woman spending more than she seems to earn, husbands should ask questions. This woman was permanently travelling first class with two kids and her husband did not raise issues.
As a senior banker this is possible
Don't forget her pay is also a function of deposits she brings in

She used to buy the most expensive jewellery and go for exotic vacations without her husband but he kept quiet. She also got promoted every year moving from DM to AGM in five years and all he did was rejoice and congratulate her.

The real lesson is that while we rejoice with our spouses we should ask questions when necessary if we are not sure of the source of income.
Well the rate of promotion was high but she is not the only one who was fast Like this
Well they're mostly ladies grin
I agree one should have idea of source of income

This is a true life story as I know the couple. I posted this here because this isn't meant to attack the political ambition of Akin Ambode. I wanted us to comment and learn as family landers. I can shed more light on the marriage if required.

I will also appreciate if someone can paste the story as I am typing from my phone.
So what's the point of this huh

Is it because its ambode or because some women prefer to be mistresses or that she was the breadwinner or what exactly

What's the moral of this storyland
Family › Re: Arranged Marriages Were Better Than Modern Marriages. by pickabeau1: 5:23pm On Apr 04, 2015
I agree love is mostly overrated
But i m not sure arranged marriage is the solution

The issue is the lack of understanding about how to keep a marriage n the collapse of mediating traditional institutions

This is a beautiful post, full of wisdom and enlightenment... as a matter of fact, I'm the ninth person to like it.

However, I really hope you (and the eight females who liked your post before I did) don't change this line of thinking the next time a topic is created regarding a man who beat up his wife because she couldn't tame her tongue.
People do lots of things in anger, it doesn't mean they're less bred than the next person and that man who slapped his wife in the heat of provocation is certainly not a beast.

You're a genius! cheesy
This line of genius is not applicable to the male gender grin

That's the point, it's her personal make up bag, my male sensibilities wouldn't permit me to do it. if it were to be another thing, like a model, design proposal, I would have graciously oblige her request.

I guess she was beginning to perceive me as a rival, and was scared of my chances of taking over, because I was highly commended by her dad for a project I executed recently. She was supposed to handle the architectural drawings and specifications, but the layout wasn't working and the project was transferred to my desk.

You know women, her dad compelled her to study architecture, so she could take over from him. she is the lazy type and wouldn't have willingly go for architecture.

Guess she did it deliberately to get me out of her way. But she didn't know I wouldn't have accepted to be the manager, because it's her dad firm.

Just wanted to build my clientele.

It's all good though, thanks man for your concern.
