Politics / Re: Lagos Dumps Beggars, Homeless In Onitsha by pixiraver(m): 5:20am On Jul 26, 2013
This is very sad, no citizen of Nigeria should be treated in that manner, the Lagos state Government should actually rehabilitate the "destitutes" when are we going to realize that we are one? Shame on those who try to justify the actions of the Lagos state government, yet we complain when the Americans, English, South Africans etc treat us the same way.

Seriously woe unto the Lagos state government and people who support this disputable action. Bunch of nit wits!
Politics / Re: South African Wives Of Nigerians Protest In Johannesburg by pixiraver(m): 4:57am On Mar 24, 2013
Unbelievable! Nigerians calling South African ladies prostitutes are pathetic, how dare you call a fellow human protesting for their husbands prostitutes? Why do Nigerians think they are superior when we virtually have nothing!

You Nigerians who call South Africans names are sickening, you claim South African ladies are prostitutes but have you checked the amount of Nigerians who abort innocent kids? A South African would rather keep the baby yet you think you have a better moral authority than them?

You guys are plain sick! You are married to fraudulent bank employees, your boyfriends are into all forms of 419, your husbands who claim to be politicians rob the poor, there is corruption everywhere and the system doesn't work yet you believe that you are better than South Africans, keep living in denial stupid idiots.

Travel / Nigerian Immigration Stealing Innocent Nigerians Passports by pixiraver(m): 11:10pm On Apr 07, 2012
It has come to my knowledge that the Nigerian immigration at the Muritala International Airport are stealing passports with visas of innocent Nigerians. My younger brother was bound for South Africa to study in one of the universities but immigration officers at the airport requested for bribe and when he told them he was a student and didn't have any money to bribe them with they told him he won't be allowed to depart.

They asked him for his passport, delayed him, when the flight left they refused to return his passport. That is criminal, you don't withhold the passport of a citizen who is not a criminal, he is only a student and he is been deprived to go study. They keep refusing to return his passport as we speak and even South African Airways were upset and said they have no right to withhold his passport, the visa belongs to the South African government and not to our corrupt immigration.

I will make sure the senate hears this! This is injustice of the highest order!
Family / Re: Little Children's Annoying Habits. by pixiraver(m): 3:18am On Mar 15, 2012
I think you are the problem and not the child. Have you considered that you want the child to behave like an adult even though he isn't?

What's with Nigerians and beating kids? If for example you take your child out and you expect him to catch up with you while walking and if he doesn't you beat him, have you considered that he or she is only a child and can't walk as fast as you can?

You didn't really give concrete details on what the child does that annoy you but I suspect you want the child to act like an adult. When a child is growing up you need to set rules that will help guide the child. When you allow the child to watch tv whenever on a school week then you have no right to decide no tv for you today. When you allow the child to go to bed whenever then don't get angry when the child struggles to wake up and get ready for school because the child is genuinely tired.

Have you really sat down and taken time to understand your child? Have you really talked to him or her without bullying him to do what you want?

Lastly I hope you get arrested for beating a child, nonsense!
Family / Re: Men - Have You Ever Tried To Change Your Child's Diaper by pixiraver(m): 3:36pm On Feb 07, 2012
I do change my child's diaper almost daily, i do bath and feed her as well. When my wife is busy i need to assist, most Nigerian men treat their wives as slaves, cook, wash, clean, take care of the kids, take care of the man yet they also expect the woman to work!!

That is why naija men drift apart from their kids when they grow older.

Politics / Re: Nigerian Muslims Lets Wake Up Before Boko Haram Hijacks Our Religion by pixiraver(m): 1:39pm On Jan 03, 2011
The problem is not with Hausas, the problem is with religion. Religion has failed the world, Christianity and Islam have both failed mankind, we can blame Muslims for killing people at will but the Church also did the same way back. What right do we have to say don't condone that religion, if you do you will die a sinner?

Ok let's see it from this point of view, we Christians believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and without being 'Born Again' you will go to hell fire after rapture, are we trying to say all Muslims will go to hell because they are not Christians? The same applies to Muslims who believe all Christians are infidels, we all turn into zombies and fight for a senseless cause.

If Jesus Christ were to return today and say i am Jesus, the son of God would anyone really take him seriously? If Mohammed were to also return and say i am Mohammed won't he be stoned to death?

How i wish a higher body with passionate and positive cause geared towards saving mankind would govern the world and bring about genuine prosperity and peace around the world and do away with religion.

@Poster abeg mind your own business and let them be, the truth might come out some day. Don't be the one to break your cousin's marriage and honestly you also need to ask yourself why your inlaw chose to cheat on his wife. Atimes the problem actually comes from the wife. wink
Sports / Re: African Nations Cup: Egypt Vs Nigeria - (3-1) by pixiraver(m): 7:58pm On Jan 12, 2010
The most overrated footballer ever to havee come out of Naija is Mikel John Obi, he shouldn't be in the team, he kills the play. Tactically Amodu is very poor, after Egypt equalized they sat back and waited for us and hit us on the counter, what is the purpose of having 2 defensive midfielders if they can't even cover the defenders?

Yobo was poor, Nwaneri was poor, Taiwo is better used as an attacker than a defender, Uche and Yakubu were hardly fed with good balls, MIKEL IS THE CAUSE OF OUR PROBLEMS!
Sports / Togo Players 'machine-gunned Like Dogs' By Angolan Rebels by pixiraver(m): 7:10pm On Jan 08, 2010
A bus carrying the Togo national team has reportedly come under attack from gunfire in Angola.

The Sparrow Hawks - featuring Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor and Aston Villa's Moustapha Salifou - are in the country ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, which gets underway on Sunday.

According to reports the bus driver has been killed and at least four Togo players have suffered injuries during the attack.

Manchester City have confirmed that Adebayor has escaped injury.

A club statement read: 'Manchester City can confirm that striker Emmanuel Adebayor is uninjured after this afternoon's attack on the Togo team bus in Angola.

'Club officials have spoken with Adebayor and though shaken by the terrible events, he is unharmed.'

Togo and Nantes striker Thomas Dossevi told French radio station RMC: 'I'm okay but several players are in a bad state.

'We are still at hospital. We were machine-gunned like dogs and had to remain hidden under our seats for around 20 minutes to avoid the bullets.'

Togo are scheduled to begin their cup campaign against Ghana on Monday.

Midfielder Alaixys Romao admits the players feared the worst and thinks Togo are now likely to pull out of the tournament.

'We're not thinking yet of what could happen,' said the Grenoble player. But it's true that no-one wants to play. We're not capable of it.

'We're thinking first of all about the health of our injured because there was a lot of blood on the ground.

'For the moment there is not much news because they have been taken to different hospitals. In cases like these we're thinking of those near us, of those we love because that really could have been the end of us.'

Foreign Affairs / Re: Are Nigerians Really This Bad , That Other African Countries Want Us Out? by pixiraver(m): 6:38am On Dec 17, 2009
@ Kobojunkie i don't see why you need to attack ifygurl, your attack is so uncalled for, she was only trying to prove that not all Nigerians are drug dealers or fraudulent. If you can list so much problems in Nigeria what solutions have you offered? What have you done to make Nigeria a better place? I am so sick and tired of reading about so many Nigerians that complain that Politicians do this, a yahoo boy did that but they actually sit, watch and do nothing. Some of them keep saying 'God help us' God will not come down and help us.

So Kobojunkie, don't be a bully on the forum rather try and offer solutions, try and also paint a better image of Nigeria instead of posting trash on the internet, do you know how many foreigners get to read posts like this on Nairaland?

Naija forever!
Autos / Re: How Do I Track Down A Car Dealer Who Has Absconded After Selling My Car by pixiraver(m): 6:28am On Dec 17, 2009
@ Kunle - A, my friend's dad actually owns the car but wasn't in Nigeria when it was sold so i acted on his behalf until he returned. I do know i need to go down to Naija if i really want to sort this issue out as soon as possible. The next time one stupid baggar tells me he is a man of God i will slap him.
Autos / How Do I Track Down A Car Dealer Who Has Absconded After Selling My Car by pixiraver(m): 5:58am On Dec 17, 2009
Doing business in Nigeria comes with serious risks and after this phase of my life, i don't think i can trust doing business with any Nigerian. I gave a brand new Honda Accord to a car dealer from hell to sell for me last year, i witheld the original car papers and left Naija handing the deal to my friend's dad.

After some months, i was called by my friend's dad saying the car dealer has sold the car without the original documents, we call the car dealer and ask for our money and he gave us a cheque which bounced, he gave us 5 more that also bounced, he keeps playing hide and seek. I am really tired of this, yet this man claims he is a man of God, a man of God that scams people!!!

Please people, can you advice what action to take? He hardly goes to his office, we can't seem to track him down or his house, we arrested him some months back but he bribed the police and they let him go without even collecting his house address!!! Please advice me people.
TV/Movies / Re: Nkenna (big Brother Africa), A Model Of A Nigerian Woman? by pixiraver(m): 11:15am On Nov 17, 2009
Are you guys seriously complaining about Nkenna? Kevin irritates the hell out of me, you should watch him during his diary sessions, he is so irritating that i stopped watching his diary sessions. On Nkenna, i do agree she has a loud mouth but most of what she says is true, there is cultism in Nigeria and exam malpractice.

I would call Nkenna a typical Nigerian gal who was brought up in the East, she has that typical igbo accent and shows she is a typical igbo girl not that igbo girls are all loud. I don't mind watching her but i just hate it when she starts talking non stop.

Kevin on the other hand acts for the camera and he thinks he can wrap, all he raps is jargons, although he is a determined lad but he is so irritating. While you guys are busy exonerating Kevin, he actually put up a fellow Nigerian (Nkenna) for eviction, he is such a typical Nigerian backstabber LOL

Between, i am igbo cool

Politics / Re: Nuhu Ribadu: Nigeria’s Next Obama? by pixiraver(m): 10:27am On Aug 14, 2009
I have always liked Ribadu for the way he challenged corrupt governors, 419ers etc in Nigeria but i still fear that Nigeria will continue to fight an internal war with itself for years to come. They will continue to fight just the way the Palestinians and the Israelites have been fighting for over 2000 years.

I read on facebook, punch, vanguard, nairaland, sahara and so many other websites about Nigerians opposing corruption yet we can't take a firm stand and tackle corruption. We need someone who is totally disciplined like Ribadu to take Nigeria to the next level, we need a Ribadu and Fashola combination to treat and heal Nigeria. Forget sentiments, i don't care if a Nigerian from the border of Seme can solve our problems let the person come in and do so.

The Nigerian government keeps complaining about gas pipelines been blown up causing in the inavailability of gas to provide electricity yet the EU is planning to setup Solar Panels in the Sahara to provide Europe with power, why can't we do so for Nigeria? We hear them talking about Nuclear energy, anyone who wants to setup up a nuclear plant must do so in his village.

Nigerians have been craving for a change, we need a Ribadu to bring about that change.
