GrammarNazi1:Like when he won the Golden Ball at the 2014 World Cup, abi? Even Sepp Blatter was puzzled. BTW, I don't agree with what those CR7 fanboys say. But you will agree he does get that slight favoritism, especially when the competition is tightest like Lewy in 2021 and Mbappe for the Golden Ball at the last WC. |
Awesome01:Why? The award states the period under review is from December 19 2022 to August 2023. Now, tell me what did Messi do post-world cup to merit making top 3, never mind winning the award itself. Is it for crashing out of the CL knockouts without a goal, assist or even shot on target? Statpadding in meaningless friendlies and WC qualifiers? Or is it the buzz generated by him moving to the MLS 'cos I no understand. I be Messi fan too, but it's things like this that fuel CR7 fans conspiracy theories. It's hard to deny the favoritism on the part of FIFA this time around. |
Offkey:That boy na big boy now oh. E for don turn Daddy sef KKB was very popular back in the day. Those kids of yesterday don turn Oga and Madam today. |
pkasso:I talk am! FIFA don kolo finish. Wetin Mbappe and Messi play post-WC to deserve podium place? FIFA has only just reinforced CR7 fans belief that Messi gets preferential treatment. I still expect Haaland to win the award sha. Anything else is a robbery. |
Offkey:Bad guy! Small small sha, make the thing no cut You watch that popular Kids Know Better (KKB) show growing up, abi? Your post reminds me of particular scene on that show ![]() |
andrewbaba44: ![]() |
Capaldi:This man! Wetin Enrique do you sef? On a serious note, i won't be shocked one bit if it happens. Make Newcastle manage beat Milan sha. |
I'm surprised MATS didn't make the final shortlist for the FIFA Goalkeeper of the year award. Person wey win Best player for La Liga last season. And to think, that yeye Ederson dey the list just because his team won the treble. Even Onana would have been a better choice but recency bias no go allow that one Courtois is the only one deserving of his place among those 3.Make I see Messi or Mbappe for the final 3 for the Best Player award. Na there, I go know say FIFA don kolo. |
andrewbaba44:See, me don comot mind for CL this season. As long as Tuchel remains the coach, nothing is going to change. The weyrey and his players dey shout "we need to show a strong reaction" before the game only to serve the same boring, rubbish football. No improvement from the team whatsoever. It's only a matter of time before the inevitable happens and he gets sacked. |
kendrick93:The Pokal is still a priority. Given the gulf in quality between Bayern and the other teams, you would expect them to do better than winning just 2 of the last 8. We've gone out of the Cup playing our strongest 11 against lesser-fancied sides so it's not like we don't take it seriously. Leverkusen are doing a great job and I'm happy they are providing the much-needed competition. I think they have a really good chance of dethroning this Bayern side under Tuchel. |
andrewbaba44:Suarez sef don im own for una nau. When age catches up with you, there is nothing you can do. He is 35. If na for olden days, e suppose don retire. |
kendrick93:Yeah. Gladbach had Jupp Heynckes leading the line back then. The DFB no dey ready to end Bayern dominance in the BuLi. 11 in a row. Even me sef don tire. A change of format wouldn't hurt at this point. A playoffs style competition involving the Top 8 teams would make things more interesting. Since 2016 till date, we've won 7 straight league titles, but we've only won the DFB Pokal twice and the CL once during that period. Just imagine Bayern playing Gladbach in the playoffs in a one-off match. Na elimination be that. |
andrewbaba44:It's nothing, bro. Na just cruise. I don talk am before say I no get any beef with him for leaving. It's sad seeing him decline like this, but I'm also happy it's happening in the colours of Barca At he least delivered a league title for you, guys. Make una add small water on top that one, dey drink am till season finish. |
LETTER TO LEWY Dear Lewy, I don't know if you are reading this. But you deserve better. These people don't deserve you. After helping them win the league, their first in 4 years, they have now turned on you, calling you all sorts of names simply because you are not as good as you used to be. You know deep down in your heart, you regret leaving Bayern. Maybe things would have even gotten better. But you were selfish and your lust for the Ballon d'or has led you down this path of mockery and ignominy. Bayern fans never called you names when you ghosted in big matches or missed chances. You were feted and loved. In the meantime, whatever happens, you will always be the greatest striker of your generation. Haters can only hate. From a Bayern fan, pkasso ![]() |
Omo, laugh wan tear my belle. I dey try compose make people around me no go think say I don colo ![]() |
Just clocked that the last time Bayern chop this kain heavy defeat, 5-0 against Gladbach in the Pokal that year, Nagelsmann's assistant Dino Toppmoller was the one on the bench for that game. Na the same Toppmoller still carry another trashing give us, this time coaching Frankfurt ![]() |
Arizoner:The puzzling thing about these record defeats is that they took place in one of the most successful eras the club has ever had. That Bayern team of the '70s won three straight European Cups, and boasted of legends like Beckenbauer, Gerd Muller. Ulli Hoeness and Rumminegge. These players were also World Champions with West Germany around that same period. My guess is that those defeats happened with Bayern fielding a weakened side in those games. That's the only reasonable explanation. Anybody wey get team sheets for these games should post am, abeg .That aside, no be today Frankfurt and Mighty Saarbrucken don dey kick our ass ![]() |
I hope oliverano and andrewbaba44 enjoyed Araujo's masterclass yesterday. You come Bayern thread dey laugh Upamecano yesterday, only for your best CB to drop a stinker. Hahaha. God forbid, we pay 100m for that guy. As for Lewy, he should carry on. He is doing well ![]() |
Trevor012:Hensben na case, walahi ![]() |
City are in trouble. BIG trouble! |
Capaldi:This man ehn. Enrique you no like, Flick you no want. Who you go like coach Chelsea sef? Ruben Amorim, abi? ![]() |
oliverano:Who tell you say you were not linked with Zaragoza? Your broke ass club couldn't afford shikini 15m and pulled out. You better start digging. I said they were on the same level. It was De Ligt who i said was better. Na every time una go dey lie until my head no? |
andrewbaba44:Allow wetin? Una never see anything. Shebi e won win Ballon d'or, make e win am nau. Thanks for doing business for us. We have Gnabry, Coman and Sane too if you are interested. Sane is playing the best football of his life ATM and would be an upgrade on Raphinha. Just give us Yamal and 20m before that one sef follow Ansu Fati way. |
oliverano:How about this one? Zaragoza to Bayern Araujo to Bayern. Zubimendi to Bayern. We are taking your babes away next summer. |
oliverano:So, you still never get over this your Goretzka obssession after all this while? This matter no be oju lasan oh. Stop attributing things i never said to me. Goretzka no good but he keeps dunking on your lame club. Keep hating on our best midfielder this season ![]() If anyone's place is under threat, it's Kimmich. Make una carry money come, make we run another scam on you people ![]() |
andrewbaba44:Dis man! You don come again with your yeye talk. If I ask you to point out where I called Upa world-class nau, you go begin dey stammer. Meanwhile, how is Lewy doing these days? ![]() |
FT: 5-1. 2019 flashbacks. Would be surprised if Tuchel is sacked after this though, even if it would be completely deserved. |
The earlier the board realizes we are not going anywhere with Tuchel and this set of players, the better. One has to give way for the other. I'm actually fine with Tuchel's team selection and his in-game changes but his tactics are not working. Nothing has changed since last season. The players should also be ashamed of themselves. Zero intensity and pride. BTW, Davies can fucck off to Madrid already. Time to give Hansi Flick a call. |
Unlimited22:Nice article, bro. I was rooting for City to win the league that season and the tension wey hold me that day no be here. I still get goosebumps whenever I watch that goal. Truly iconic. City sef like doing the easiest things the most difficult ways. Remember the final-day drama against Aston Villa two seasons ago? There was also one before that, I think against Brighton where they went a goal down, but Aguero equalised within a minute and they went on to win the game. Just win, simples. Dem go say no, we need spice am up with drama. Make dem no go give Pep stroke one day. |
The Bryan Zaragoza deal is a refreshing piece of news even if i didn't see it coming. The wings department has been crying out for fresh legs for a while now. The next step should be the phasing out of Coman, Gnabry and Sane. Those three have failed to live up to expectations and now is the time to move them on. They have been given enough time and support but it's clear as daylight that they lack the quality to push the team through on the biggest stages. Coman has been here for 9 seasons and has never looked like a game changer. Sane is inconsistent af and Gnabry has forgotten how to play football. We are clearly not going to win the big thing with those guys in front. Sell all of them! I think the whole team itself is need of a shuffle. Performance levels have dropped over the last couple of seasons and it's not entirely the coach's fault. The board has done a good job revamping the defence and we couldn't have sold Lewy at a better time. But there are still a few holes left to plug. |
Capaldi:My guy, how far? I don know say you go show. As i dey watch Newcastle flog PSG, i just dey talk am for my mind say "Capaldi go finish Enrique this night" He should forever thank MSN for giving him a career as coach at the elite level. |
nihilistjnr:Yeah. Burna was clearly the biggest act and face of the label, so it was kinda expected. 2012 was a crazy year sha. Remember the L.O.S boys with Bad Guy P and DRB Lasgidi, the group that had BOJ? The way wey those ones take disappear sef get as e be. |
