NothingDoMe: If you have the resources to wait for a year in brazil after giving birth, you automatically get permanent residency or a passport. I am not sure which one...but definitely one of them. 1 Like |

I applied for my Canadian visa in South Africa but did my biometric in Nigeria. I believe it is possible.

|

Reapply with your husband as main applicant might appear dubious in my opinion because you have already been banned and you may also affect your husband’s eligibility. Why don’t you try and appeal. I believe this may just be your best bet. If you succeed, you get to remove the ban. Temi231: |

Apologies for the long post. I have been following this thread for a while and I would like to share my visa story. As soon as I got pregnant Q3, 2018, I decided to give Canada a try as my USA visa was going to expire at the end of the year and I also travel a lot for work so I couldn’t afford to drop my passport for an extended period of time. I submitted my online application on the 9th of November in the country where I work (mainly because they have a processing period of 16 days). These are the supporting documents that I recall submitting; Marriage certificate Change of name Employment letter Work ID card Letter of introduction from my office 3 months payslips Statement of account (about $20k at the time) Shares statement(about $11k although value has dropped now) International insurance letter of introduction Letter of invitation from my friend Letter of explanation Past medical reports from nigeria I chose ‘Others’ and stated medical tourism in my online application. In my letter of explanation, I also stated that the sole purpose of visit was childbirth. I however found out after submission that there was no biometric center in that country so I had to wait till I returned to Nigeria in December where I eventually did my biometrics on the 10th of December, 2018. On the 21st of December, I received a letter from the Embassy stating that I will need to replace my letter of invitation with one from a doctor or hospital stating availability and cost. I believe I sort help from here but didn’t get much feedback. After trying for days to get a letter of invitation, I decided to just write another letter of explanation stating my appointment details and cost. I also got my insurance to send a guarantee of payment to my hospital of choice. ( I attached this document to my LOE) On the 24th of January 2019, My visa application was approved and I was asked to submit my passport. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Do you have Adobe reader? If you don’t try and download phantom foxit. It’s a pdf application. I had similar issues but I ended up using phantom foxit to open and save the form. |

You can try to get a correspondence. You maybe successful. I did try. I contacted the doctor’s office but his receptionist told me no email correspondence and they don’t even provide assistance with anything related to immigrations. She however said that they can only confirm my appointment. Due to time constraints, I just went ahead and wrote a LOE stating details of my appointment scheduled. I also got assistance with my insurance to write a guarantee of payment and I included that. |

Good evening house and happy new week! Please I have a question. Do I need a passport with minimum of 6 months validity to apply for visiting visa or can I apply with a passport that has about 5 months validity. The visit period is wishing the validity date? P.s. the passport is for a relative. |

Thank you Hotstepper. I have gone through this thread so I know Canadian hospitals don’t give invitation letter hence my surprise to receive this letter from the embassy. I have an appointment booked already. It will end in praise by God’s grace. Amen. |

Good morning house, Please I need help. I applied for Canadian visa stating birth tourism. I have a letter of invitation from my friend and I also booked an appointment with doctor ayodele. His secretary refused to correspond via email and kept it strictly phone calls. I recently got the following letter from the embassy requesting for a letter of invitation from the doctor. I don’t know what to do because I initially asked if it was possible to get this letter from the doctor and they refused unless I was registered with the doctor and this will cost some money. Please can anyone advice me on a way forward. I don’t know if it is relevant to add that my visa application was done in SA.

beejay112: Isn't that insurance fraud? Whether in america or nigeria, if you are not registered for an insurance policy and try to get the covers assocuated with that policy, i believe it is considered to be some type of fraud. So please think this offer well. It may affect your future POE and Visa renewal. I don't believe a few thousand dollors is worth it. 6 Likes |

Hello Nairalanders, All this Visa talk is beginning to scare me. Before I read about the B2 class visa here, I was advised by friends who had gone through the process to reapply for the B1/B2 visa for vacation purpose and send a change of intent letter just before I travel. (Mind you, this was before I saw all the threads on applying for the right visa i.e. B2). Now my dropbox application is under review and I am worried that I shouldnt have listened to them but applied for the B2 visa. At this point of this reccession, I cannot afford to go on a vacation, comeback then go for childbirth. Please House, is there anything I can do? |

Hello awesome people. I stumbled upon these threads recently and I have just been blown away by the depth of information that has been passing around here. Kudos to you all and keep up the good work. Please I have tried to go through all the various parts of the thread from part 1 but my eye has started hurting. So please I want to plead with the house for assistance on information concerning MIHS phoenix arizona. I saw old posts about successful mums who had their kids there. I havent seen any recent post on that. Please is there anyone that has used the hospital recently and if yes can you please share your experience. Thank you. |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Testimonies Of Graduates With 2.2 And Below And How They Made It. by placebo(f): 5:04am On Jun 24, 2011 |
well i had a very bad experience in school (missing scripts and all), so bad that i hate to talk about my school days. Anyways, I graduated with a 2-2 and yeah. Its the worst thing that has happened to me. I say this because i am actually very smart and shouldn't have such grades but it happened and here i am. The question is what did i do. I put it in the past and forged forward. I challenged myself and i always looked to God and believed in myself. I graduated in 2006 but i can tell you that i have experience in telecomms, did banking for 2 years and i am now in a multinational oil servicing company(No. 1oil servicing company. Go figure) and i am still forging ahead till i conquer my heart desires with the help of God Almighty. Are you in school? PLEASE try your best to come out with a 2-1. Are you out of school? it is not the end of the world. 1 Like |
