No sir. It is not. I heard other countries give birthright citizenship. You can research and try those. I don't know much about them.

If you have the resources to wait for a year in brazil after giving birth, you automatically get permanent residency or a passport. I am not sure which one...but definitely one of them.

I applied for my Canadian visa in South Africa but did my biometric in Nigeria. I believe it is possible.

Reapply with your husband as main applicant might appear dubious in my opinion because you have already been banned and you may also affect your husband’s eligibility. Why don’t you try and appeal. I believe this may just be your best bet. If you succeed, you get to remove the ban.

Temi231:

Hello all, I finally went for the interview today and the VO asked why I didn't state I am going for childbirth in my application that there is actually a space to write it. I told him that is the reason why I pick others for reasons. He said I am not being truthful and they noticed I was recently denied US visa. I told him, NO, but I have a rescheduling 221g appointment with them soon. He also asked my purpose of visiting Canada. I told him about tourism and giving birth. He also raised a red flag for the accommodation the agent booked for me which is a hotel suite.

Anyways, he didn't collect the passport for me, He said he would need to discuss with his superior as he felt I am not being truthful. I got to my office and I received their mail.

See below: Does this mean I can't re-apply again. I am thinking I should re-apply with my husband making him as the main applicant this time around.

Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your temporary resident visa application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• You have been found inadmissible to Canada in accordance with paragraph 40(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of the IRPA. In accordance with paragraph A40(2)(a), you will remain inadmissible to Canada for a period of five years from the date of this letter or from the date a previous removal order was enforced.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

@omobendel, justwise.

Please note that this is not Nigeria Embassy oh

Apologies for the long post. I have been following this thread for a while and I would like to share my visa story. As soon as I got pregnant Q3, 2018, I decided to give Canada a try as my USA visa was going to expire at the end of the year and I also travel a lot for work so I couldn’t afford to drop my passport for an extended period of time.

I submitted my online application on the 9th of November in the country where I work (mainly because they have a processing period of 16 days). These are the supporting documents that I recall submitting;
Marriage certificate
Change of name
Employment letter
Work ID card
Letter of introduction from my office
3 months payslips
Statement of account (about $20k at the time)
Shares statement(about $11k although value has dropped now)
International insurance letter of introduction
Letter of invitation from my friend
Letter of explanation
Past medical reports from nigeria

I chose ‘Others’ and stated medical tourism in my online application. In my letter of explanation, I also stated that the sole purpose of visit was childbirth. I however found out after submission that there was no biometric center in that country so I had to wait till I returned to Nigeria in December where I eventually did my biometrics on the 10th of December, 2018.

On the 21st of December, I received a letter from the Embassy stating that I will need to replace my letter of invitation with one from a doctor or hospital stating availability and cost. I believe I sort help from here but didn’t get much feedback. After trying for days to get a letter of invitation, I decided to just write another letter of explanation stating my appointment details and cost. I also got my insurance to send a guarantee of payment to my hospital of choice. ( I attached this document to my LOE)

On the 24th of January 2019, My visa application was approved and I was asked to submit my passport.

Do you have Adobe reader? If you don’t try and download phantom foxit. It’s a pdf application. I had similar issues but I ended up using phantom foxit to open and save the form.

You can try to get a correspondence. You maybe successful. I did try. I contacted the doctor’s office but his receptionist told me no email correspondence and they don’t even provide assistance with anything related to immigrations. She however said that they can only confirm my appointment. Due to time constraints, I just went ahead and wrote a LOE stating details of my appointment scheduled. I also got assistance with my insurance to write a guarantee of payment and I included that.

Good evening house and happy new week! Please I have a question. Do I need a passport with minimum of 6 months validity to apply for visiting visa or can I apply with a passport that has about 5 months validity. The visit period is wishing the validity date?

P.s. the passport is for a relative.

Good morning house,

Please I need help. I applied for Canadian visa stating birth tourism. I have a letter of invitation from my friend and I also booked an appointment with doctor ayodele. His secretary refused to correspond via email and kept it strictly phone calls. I recently got the following letter from the embassy requesting for a letter of invitation from the doctor. I don’t know what to do because I initially asked if it was possible to get this letter from the doctor and they refused unless I was registered with the doctor and this will cost some money. Please can anyone advice me on a way forward. I don’t know if it is relevant to add that my visa application was done in SA.

Actually its quite easy to read old posts... it takes a click or two. I can't stand frauds saying insincere prayers. Yeah sure... you'll still depend on "god and favor" to come up with your next trick.

cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy Actually i can afford my wife having a baby in the United States, it just happens to be free if you have health insurance.

Oga health insurance is not free. You either pay for it or your employer pays for it (you work for it) or maybe your wife or employer pays...health insurance is not free. #wehdonsir

Hi Nairaland families, just got to Virginia for my child birth. At the Poe, I was asked how am going to make my payment on the delivery, I told them self payment but fortunately I got my cousins number in Newyork and he told me to deliver in Newyork so that the money will be removed from his health insurance which will just be$4,500. Is it advisable to use his health insurance for my childbirth bills? Hope their wount be any problem at the POE in the future. Thanks Nairalanders and God bless you all.

Isn't that insurance fraud? Whether in america or nigeria, if you are not registered for an insurance policy and try to get the covers assocuated with that policy, i believe it is considered to be some type of fraud. So please think this offer well. It may affect your future POE and Visa renewal. I don't believe a few thousand dollors is worth it.

I think now you have to wait a month or two or so i'm not sure o, maybe you should go to the bank to inquire about the requirements but before as at the time I opened it was immediately you could apply.
You know the harder the dollar gets to find the more stupid policies they start to bring up

I opened in december and was told I have to wait 3 months.

Its two ways. The fact that they didn't ask you if you were preggy that is a plus but they may think you wanted to go have your baby in the U.S that was why you guys went for the VISA application. But at this point, write a letter if intent about your situation and they will reply. You can send me a personal email and i will forward the response they sent me to you so, you see how it looks like.( i wrote a letter of intent too )
Before traveling, make sure u contact a doctor and hospital and print out the correspondent and most of all, travel along with money to show them you are capable of paying the hospital and doctor bills. I hope this helps.
Cheers. x

Please can you send their response to my email too thank you in advance. The email is mrsjirikap@gmail.com

Hello Nairalanders,

All this Visa talk is beginning to scare me. Before I read about the B2 class visa here, I was advised by friends who had gone through the process to reapply for the B1/B2 visa for vacation purpose and send a change of intent letter just before I travel. (Mind you, this was before I saw all the threads on applying for the right visa i.e. B2). Now my dropbox application is under review and I am worried that I shouldnt have listened to them but applied for the B2 visa. At this point of this reccession, I cannot afford to go on a vacation, comeback then go for childbirth. Please House, is there anything I can do?

Hello awesome people. I stumbled upon these threads recently and I have just been blown away by the depth of information that has been passing around here. Kudos to you all and keep up the good work. Please I have tried to go through all the various parts of the thread from part 1 but my eye has started hurting. So please I want to plead with the house for assistance on information concerning MIHS phoenix arizona. I saw old posts about successful mums who had their kids there. I havent seen any recent post on that. Please is there anyone that has used the hospital recently and if yes can you please share your experience. Thank you.

2nd missionary journey finally over.

Mum Visa

I asked for opinion wen I applied for my mum visa, she was actually denied without them checking anything,so what i did was to write the consular on her behalf nd I also sent a mail to the consular that I have a toddler nd expecting a baby and I need my mum assistance. I also booked emergency appointment, I attached d receipt for Doctor and hospital, so the appointment was approved and her visa was granted with her saying d same thing as previous interview and they did not check anything.

Birthing
I had my baby Oct 1 at oakbend and used Dr Ezekiel, dat morning I saw the bloody show and contraction was regular, so I called my Bro to take me to the hospital, wen we got there we were gisting so the nurse was looking at us like jokers, Wen dey took me to d room to check how many cm I was dilated nd she saw 4cm with regular contractions, she was surprised cos we were laughing nd making  jokes, I refused to take epidural ooo and seriously it wasn't a bad experience, the only time I almost gave in to epidural was wen I was given oxytocin to quicken d process but thank God it ended in praise.

Dr fee- $1,900
Hospital- $2,300
B&A  - $92
Pead- $335
Lab - $119

After discharge we used hope clinic on bellaire and hg6 for baby follow up  paid $30

Picked up baby's bcert on d 4th from Fort bend county and booked appointment at downtown for baby's passport and was asked to pick up d 3rd day.

Thanks to this wonderful E-family, I used visa on arrival, special thanks to De-soul who helped with it a day b4 our travel date. My advice to others is dat ensure the letter from Nigeria comes from an email, cos dat was d only thing that wanted to cause problem.

Baggage

Hmmm, thank God I belong to this forum ooo, Egonne1 already gave heads up on how emirates delayed her bags and advised we snap our bags. funny enough I checked in  13bags, (Note: if u pay for extra bag on emirates that bag can weigh 32kg not d regular 23kg.) while snapping I gave up but one of d ones I snapped got missing and we were told it's in dubai and it will come d next day, all for them to call me that they are having problems recovering d bag dat I should fill d claim form nd all, I had receipts for  all d items and pictures so I sent to them, and my bag was recovered 2 days after. Thanks to the picture they were able to recover d bag on time.

Me I don hang my boot o.

Please which state is thos hospital at?

well i had a very bad experience in school (missing scripts and all), so bad that i hate to talk about my school days. Anyways, I graduated with a 2-2 and yeah. Its the worst thing that has happened to me. I say this because i am actually very smart and shouldn't have such grades but it happened and here i am.

The question is what did i do. I put it in the past and forged forward. I challenged myself and i always looked to God and believed in myself. I graduated in 2006 but i can tell you that i have experience in telecomms, did banking for 2 years and i am now in a multinational oil servicing company(No. 1oil servicing company. Go figure) and i am still forging ahead till i conquer my heart desires with the help of God Almighty.

Are you in school? PLEASE try your best to come out with a 2-1.

Are you out of school?
it is not the end of the world.
