Run a scan on the car.
Fix the cause of the problem.

One or two of the cooling system is bad.
1. Fan not working
2. Radiator is block or leaking
3. Radiator cap is loose and leaking
4. Thermostat probably bad
5. Faulty water pump

Let the scan reveal, then repair the cause of the problem before fixing the burnt gasket and replacing the coolant.
