ijawkid: you might call us blind but Jesus says trinitarians have got no eyes........

Where is your rebuttal to Jesus denying being Good but attributing all-goodness to one person,.........

And please Jesus does not know when the end will come.............

That is Jesus' reply to the persons who taught he was
all-knowing.....
The bone hock for bros @image123, these your tough questions will nullify His belief. Jesus said: i am not all knowing, I'm not all Good, I'm not the greatest, I did not send Myself, i am not the Father etc etc...yet some people will say: No Jesus, you are all knowing, you are all Good, You are the greatest, you sent youself, you are the Father again etc etc...why not take Christ for his words instead of what he was tought to be?
My broda ijewkid, you dey flow correctly with bible.
Keep it up, alot of people are enlightened. God bless.

Joagbaje: Pastors didn't change it to money. People still gave money in bible days , as tithes , they gave money equivalent of the value of wounded animals etc. people still give tithes of material things today. People mostly give cash because it's a general medium of exchange . Israelites were primarily farmers. Their proceeds were usually used for services in the terbernaclre. I can give material thing as tithe. A laptop dealer can give laptop as tithe since the church may need it. Same goes for generator or give money equivalent
Bros, Is tithe not for the Jews only just like the Sabbath ishuh? am just wondering huh huh

Omo Alata: Since she is a believer and her husband is not, and he is the one pressing for the divorce, I think she is free from the law wink
Really? are you talking in respect of this verse? To the rest I say (I, not the Lord) that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her. If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. ...
Christianity Etc › Re: Is This How You Observe The Shabbath? by plappville(op): 4:11pm On Oct 15, 2012
Goshen360: My dearest sister plappville,

I want to believe much had been said by others on this thread. A Christian is NOT bounded by the Sabbath. Besides, I believe (from scriptures) that the Sabbath is a type and shadow of believers rest in Christ in which same Sabbath was fulfilled in Christ because He said, He is the Lord of the Sabbath (Matthew 12:cool. The Sabbath that was foreshadowed was fulfilled in Christ.

A Sabbath-Rest for the People of God

1Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. 2For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith. 3Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said,

“So I declared on oath in my anger,

‘They shall never enter my rest.’”

And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world. 4For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “And on the seventh day God rested from all his work.” 5And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.” 6It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience. 7Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before:

“Today, if you hear his voice,

do not harden your hearts.”

8For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. 11Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience. Hebrews 4, New International Version

You might find those verse very useful.
Thank you my brother, I truelly appreciate. What i don't understand is that, when you adressed the tithe issue in the other thread, i saw that you presented some NT verses that didn't even made mention of tithing. Instead, Offering as a free will. But in the subject of Sabbath, we saw that Christ and His apostles kept observing and did made references of the Sabbath as in future events. For Example See Jesus talking about a future event and did used the Sabbath:

"Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath" (Matthew 24:20)?

If Sabbath observance was not a concern for christians when Matthew recorded his Gospel, why did he mention Jesus’ words about "excaping/fleeing" on the Sabbath?
I think this is a command from Jesus for Believers to keep the Sabbath rest. This is my concern, when the NT keeps repeating the OT on a particular law, am afriad, it wouldn't sound like it was done away with.

swtchicgurl: goshen360 and pastor kun, u guys baffle me with your analyses of the Bible.

i strongly suggest you take some more time to ask the Holy Spirit for guidance when you study your Bible. "Harden not your heart in provocation.....", also, "Jesus didn't come to condemn the law but to fulfil it."

cheers
True, also remember that Sunday is not the Sabbath, (Saturday) is, so if you obey one and break the others, it makes no difference.
Christianity Etc › Fighting With Divorce, Could She Be Right? by plappville(op): 2:22pm On Oct 15, 2012
Her Husband is about to divorce her. It's been 4yrs till date, No more intimacy.
The man has been abstaining because He refuses His wife's plan in having another child. They have a 6 yrs old son.

The story goes like this:

The Husband gave His reasons why He will not have another child. He said He is ok with One child at His age, He is too old to Father an infant,
He wouldn't want to have children He cannot afford good education for them etc etc....

My friend said, she want them to have a second child because she felt thier 1st child is feeling too lonely. and that she cant help having only one child.
They couldn't agree to each other, Thier case is getting serious each passing day. No one could make both of them understand anything. They are fixed in thier decision.

This made me to call my friend back to her passed ignorance when she reported the matter to me. Sometimes We want to believe we know too much when we know nothing.
I could remember when thier child was 18 months old. "My friend got pregnant" she decided to abort the baby. Because:
Husband said its too early, bla bla, so she surported her husband's argument with: (I can't have another child until my son will be 3yrs)

My counsel for her was that she shouldn't involve herself in abortion. I didn't see why a married woman should practice such.
This lady ignored my advice, i felt its kind of normal, as she cannot obey an outsider to her Hubby.
She took an appointed for the abortion. (Wetin i fit add again). Abortion was done with success.

After a yr, she tought she was pregnant, she went for a text the result was positive, she was very happy.
Unfortunately, the laboratory called her to inform her they made a mistake that the result was for someone else.
Funny enough She didn't even check if it was her name written on it. She felt very sad and disappointed.

Few months later, She noticed Her husband was limiting having intimacy with her. And was even doing (withdrawal method) which was not normal.
She became agitated and she questioned Him. It was then Oga replied, Sorry, I think we should play safe to avoid having a baby.
My friend was shocked. She asked why, Oga started giving the above excuses. The man involve is a Pagan. while the wife is now a young convert.
The question is this. Her husband is pressing her for the divorce, and she has finally given up in despaired.
She said, though she hasn't signed the divorce paper yet, but before she does that, She wanted to know if she can remarry as a christian.

I told her the bible condemn divorce. She now brought up a tough question i couldn't answer.
She asked: You know my husband had another wife before me, so i am his second wife, been that i got married to him while i was yet unbelieve
i never felt i have stolen someones Husband. Now that i am a believer, its clear that He was never my husband at the first place according to
ONE MAN ONE WIFE in the bible: (1 Corinthians 7:2) But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.
She concluded that, The first woman was the true wife of her husband, she said after her divorce, can she marry un unmarried man?
Could she be right? I am not getting her (logic of first and second wife issue), but i know the bible never surported divorce in Her case. what can you say to this woman? Plz help.
Thank you in advance.

1. Sexually Immoral

2. Greedy

3. Idolater

Paul is not talking about the world here but the church, so if anyone is called a brother or sister and indulges as a pattern in any of the aforementioned, we are not not associate with them , because evil communication corrupts good manners.

When you see these images and statues in the homes of friends and family, kindly ask them to remove it. You are not asking them to rid their beliefs, but rid themselves of the false images and race propaganda set against us as a people.
You made sense, but that will be difficult to do, i believe they will feel you are over reacting undecided

ijawkid: Lol.....

But if you are asked to make a defense using the scriptures to a non-believer why u engage in christmas what on this earth would be your reply??

Or how would you reply??

Can you open the bible to support the origin of xmas??

As christians we should scrutinize what we delve into so as to be able to give a sound biblical answer when the need arises......

How do you start explaining that ""although"" christ wasn't born ""dec 25th"",we just chose not even a random date, but a specific date pagans engaged in revelry and also snatched every single custom associated with that pagan celebration.....

It woÙld be shameful if the bible can't be the basis on which one could defend a cardinal custom that is purported to adore Christ......

Muslims can defend there celebrations from the quaran, but christians can't defend christmas using the bible.....rather pagan histÓry is what we have to go through to know how the observance came about

Its pathetic bro........
You don finish matter here...I hope bro @oiseworld grab your point.

They are like everyone so they should pay if be it. When someone repented He is to work with His hands. No one should use God to benefit from Others.

28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

Give to those in need ooo, The bible is clear! The tithe should be used on the poor.
