Was Paul saying God (speaking) through Him or He was advising them personally?
I asked because, we see some verse when He will say, (its from me) and other He will say (from the Lord) so which one? Thanks alot.

Sweetnecta: someday, if frosbel remains in christianity long enough, and i am alive, still, i may just read a Brother Frosbel's Bible.

Keep it coming, mehn. I will use what i read from you and others in my dawah effort.

Something to think about: I am visiting some christian friends, people [gathering] soon.

I am going to arrive there and tell an unmarried man among the that he is actually the father of a son of a woman there. The boy is his begotten son and I wanna see how the faces of the people will go into ugly frowns. The unmarried adult, the father of the baby [hopefully it will not be a baby made from a sper.m bank, because the momma may just sue the male as the father for real], the mother of the baby and if the bay is old enough
to know his father from just "the uncles".
Ma broda in Adam & Eve, how are you? Longest time.

You no dey tire to Follow us grin grin

truthislight: Today, people forget the principles taught by the model prayer of matthew 6:9,10

"our father, who act in heaven,
hallow be thy name"

and end it in Jesus name(whatever you ask the father in my name he will answer you, Jesus had said)

instead of directing prayers to the father in heaven as Jesus said we should pray, people direct/start prayers with Jesus name and also end it in Jesus name.

What a deviation from the most basic of things! Prayer.

WILL Jesus be happy with this diversion from his laid down guide on prayer?

You be my guest.

Ofcouse, Jesus will not be happy with those that has flouted his commands on prayers and neither will he be happy for such.

This guidance/guidelines are very clear:
"ask the father but in my name" and not ask me in my name

not start in Jesus name and end in Jesus Name. But start and direct prayers to "our
father" in heaven and end it "in Jesus name"

What then will have led people to this ends?

Why then do they still "imagined" they are still in the "way"?

Was Jesus wrong by any means?
Thanks for pointing out this great fault from proffessing Christians.
The Church rarely start prayers by calling on God first. It is always (in Jesus Name) to start and (in Jesus name to end) now wher is the Father? He is no where, silent, not well recongnized? Christ Gave us a good example. He always prayed to His Father/his God. We should do thesame. We must pray to God through the name of Jesus this is How Christ instructed it to be. His Father always Come first before Him. May God help us to continue in His truth. and you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. i have been set free indeed.

expertfingers: Gal 4:9 But now you know the true God. Really, though, it is God who knows you. So why do you turn back to the same kind of weak and useless rules you followed before? Do you want to be slaves to those things again?
Gal 4:10 It worries me that you follow teachings about special days, months, seasons, and years. I fear that my work for you has been wasted.
[ERV]

That was Paul the Apostle speaking...More relevant verses:

Col 2:16 So don't let anyone make rules for you about eating and drinking or about

Jewish customs (festivals, New Moon celebrations, or Sabbath days).
Col 2:17 In the past these things were like a shadow that showed what was coming. But the new things that were coming are found in Christ.
He was talking to new converts here abi? People who used to have thier own pagan feast, laws etc garding them before Paul preach Christ to them. So how will Paul say the laws of God are useless if He was not refering to thier Pagan rules??

@Logicboy, i can see you know everything, you defend in every angle, you know better than every one, you are the free one why others are slaves. Well that is your own opinion, you can rightfully keep it.

Now tell me, what else can any Christian say that can make change/sense to you?
Do you want us to denounce our faith? I cant denial your posts were 100% false, there are some trace of truth in them, very tiny trace of truth. But but this does not call for your over reaction as in concluding that we are slaves. undecided

That is the days that he will meet a crowd of Jews gathered together.

Dont forget that he said that people should not continue to be keeping/observing days and seasons.
Who said that? huh

The JESUS of the BIBLE was 100% MAN and called the Son of GOD through his inherited divinity through the Spirit of GOD.

If Jesus was GOD , then he was just pretending and we can never ever achieve the same victories he achieved.

italo: Perhaps because you weren't paying enough attention. You were too busy with your hatred for anything Catholic.

You hate us so much that you think nothing good can come out of 'Nazareth'... But alas!..
So exposing the falsehood of the Catholic church means hatred for the members? If you go through all the arguements we had ? You will see that your comments are a prove of You hating hearing the truth. No one hate the Catholic memebers not me, I hate the fact that the Church keep decieving people with false doctrine.

Sure, there is no church found perfect this days. But over reacting and taking issues so personal when openly faced with the truth is unpleasant.

obadiah777: biblical prophesy scholar ? nooooo my sister grin . this is not my job ooooo. this journey i started around November 2011. and since that time i have come a long way. i believe i was selected by God to receive this truth. i am hoping i am one of the 144,000 who is been awakened in the last days signifying the end of this gentile era. scripture says i will bring you to remembrance of old things with the holy spirit ( the bible ) that i will send in my name. so the 144,000 will be re-awakened in the last days to the knowledge they had in ancient times when christ was on earth and after. i am hoping that is why the lord has put it in my spirit to understand his spirit ( romans 8 vs 16 ), which is the words in the bible. i am hoping i am been awakened as part of the 144,000 elect that was sealed in ancient times.

he will return to earth by God command
he will die and be raised to heaven
those who follow Jesus while on his second return on earth will be blessed(refering to the muslims and those who accept Islam)
this is where we will all die(end time) including Jesus(refering to the "i will raise you up to me" ) and resurrect before God judgment. . .judging all of his creation.

Boomark: Which spirit gave you the utterance to call us cultists?
Have you ever mentioned the Highpriest(Christ) since the debate started?
Are you not a gentile? So why should you be paying tithe or following Christ in the first place?

All these because you don't study the word of God. I don't mean to read it. And you don't know what the new covenant with Christ is all about.

According to what is written in
Lu10:25-27 and 1Jn4:20,21. These two things will give you everlasting life - love God and your neighbour.

While these two things will take you no where - love God and pay your tithe very very faithfully.

If you and your pastors have anything contrary bring it on, then i will bring you to your knees.

Am a priest also according to the new covenant. tpia go and learn how to love practically.

And don't call us cultist again before i flog somebody.

Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Wrong To Give Your Tithe To The Poor by plappville(f): 10:03am On Oct 19, 2012
thelastPope: The point is Jesus lived in the old covenant, not in the new. His death and ressurection ushered in the new testament or covenant. So during His life and ministry, He observed the old covenant. He is the fufillment of the law. That is why He said, a new commandment I give unto you. He gave use the commandment of love. When he died, the veil of the temple was torn in 2, ending the levitical (Aaron's) priesthood for ever. He became our high priest and every believer in Christ is now a priest. We can all now directly offer unto God sacrifices of praise, a sweet smelling sacrifice from a holy race. We come boldly unto the throne of grace and like the priests, we can obtain mercy because of the eternal blood that was shed. A once for all sacrifice. we now live continually in His presence. This is the gospel of our salvation. Halleluiah!

Saved by grace thru faith. Not of ourselves. It is the gif of God. Not of worls, lest any man should boast. To say that God blesses you because of what you have done is to return to the law. And the problem of the law is, if you err in one, you err in all!
I understand your write up, Thanks. But my point for the tithe issue is this, if we keep claiming the Sabbath was nailed on the cross even if we still see scriptures telling us that after Christ resurrection, the Sabbath was still observed by His Apostles, this shows It was not canceled/nailled. And Why is it that Christ didn't remember to add the tithe law to the nailed Laws?

Acts 17:2-3(NIV)
2 As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and proving that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead. “This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah,” he said.

Jesus don already resurracte here and yet Paul read the Scriptures in public meetings on the Sabbath day (saturday).
Even as Paul was frequently accussed, He was never charged of disregarding the Sabbath day. Why did they not, if he did not keep it?

@thread sorry for like am going off topic, I am just trying to point out something as regard some Pastors trickish manner as concerning tithe.

Christianity Etc › The "First Day" Of The Week ?? by plappville(op): 5:11pm On Oct 18, 2012
Majority of Christians claim that the first day of the week is now the Holiest day of worship because of several verses that spoke about the Apostles meeting on this day. Even as there are other verses that shows they also gardered other days, the First Day seem to be very specific by Some Christians because they claim it commemorates the Resurraction of Christ. huh

But Where and how did the Bible says that the first day of the week commemorates the resurrection of Christ? Isn't this a tradition of men that contradicts the Law? Matthew 15:1-9.

I believe the Bible gave told us that Baptism commemorates the burial and resurrection of Jesus. As seen in Romans 6:3-5.

Romans 6:3-5(NIV)3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.

I will like to see biblical verses when discussing this topic. No insult please, thank you.

Joagbaje: Nobody says tithe must be weekly. It depends on individual . It can be daily or yearly or monthly or weekly . It was yearly in bible days officially for the nation because they were farmers by default and harvest was annUal by default.

Tithing is a spiritual principle . We must not follow the detail of the OT structure. we look betting the letters to see rather into the spirit behind it. Or the principle . That's what count. Tithes , offerings , prayers, fasting, worship , etc are all spiritual principles. If you believe them , they work for you . If you don't believe them no problem.

When Jesus came, He kept the seventh day all His life. Luke 4:16; John 15:10.
Thus He followed His Father's (GOD)'s example at creation. Shall we not be safe in following the example of both the Father and the Son? Waw there numerous verses of how Christ paid tithe that we are so down with this issue? Instead of following His steps !

The seventh day is the Lord's day. Revelation 1:10; Mark 2:28; Isaiah 58:13; Exodus 20:10.

Jesus was Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28), that is, to love and protect it, as the husband is the lord of the wife, to love and cherish her. 1 Peter 3:6.

Christ vindicated the Sabbath as a merciful method designed for man's good. Mark 2:23-28.

Instead of abolishing the Sabbath, He carefully taught how it should be observed. Matthew 12:1-13. Yet Christian stil ignore this shocked Oh, they will not go and work or have fun on Saturday if they should observe Gods sabbath undecided Yet persuade the poor people to Obey the Tithe law as if it was for the Love of God. If you truelly love God, keep his Sabbath.
And continue with your tithe dont be hypocrits..............;

Pastor Kun: We are called to follow christ and NOT abraham. Abraham allowed his wife sarah to commit adultery and even slept and had a child with his wife's maid, going by your rational are we also to copy these examples from Abraham?
That is showing Love. Pastors should show love to the poor in the church, they have much time with the rich and less time or no time with the poor. Yet they preach of tithe.
