Ninilowo: hw do you mean? hw many people will understand diplomatic language? the best way is to put it the way people understand so that there will be no case of "oga abeg i no hear when he talk am" A SPADE SHOULD BE CALLED A SPADE AND NOT A BIG SPOON. Saan laarin; aje nii mu nii pekoro.
I understand diplomatic language!!

Sirnokiopee: Everybody just show me that we all have one common talent .... LIES,EGO,PRIDE AND CONFUSION. search your inner self for your talent (talent is suppose to be a unique act that can barely be found in someone else. Eg.... tiger woods, pele, messi, micheal jordan usain bolt, issac newton etc. #funny talent... i can tell this, i can tell that ( your mind is playing pranks on you )lol grin grin grin
You have the "I'm better than everyone else" syndrome... In a quest to be different you tend to belittle others and glorify your mediocrity!!.... Its not bad, its a phase every young adult passes through!

to push your music requires alot of money, time, and connection. music aint a one two thing.
you cant make serious money unless you go for shows and you cant go for shows unless youre everywhere (tv, radio and internet). thats music for you!

i havent heard d song, im on mobile but if youre really good then God be ur guide!!

im a bsc holder but i couldnt do shit with it, became a full time music producer (wanted to use it as a hobby) and it has been paying the bills..

you gotta be strong!

innocent chuks: as
a civil Engineering it is a sin on ur side to lack, u have all it takes
to succeed in life just that u fell to look inward. believe u me if u
have try to use ur knowledge and idea as an Engineer to solve peoples
problem since u left school by now u would have been a very good
contractor. i know of people who are not half way ur qualification
standard and they are living big. the problem u have is u, u focus on
job hunting only instead of developing urself. for example as a civil
Engineer u suppose to know AutoCad and design if u had use this
information and design houses meet people and sell ur design to then for
the past six yrs by now u would have been building mansions for people.
stop blaming the society for ur failure, it is high time we graduates
should stop this common notion 'go to school, get good grade and look
for work' it is no longer working considering the society we are in. it
is time to be proactive. on ur music aspect if u have the gift exploit
it.
Are you a graduatehuh Ur spelling is embarassing man!!

miky: are u sure your source was right? did u verify it or just gullibly accepted it as fact?? dangote is rich but what sense does it make buying and giving away 2000 heavy trucks.. its quite stupid if u ask me..100 sounds more reasonable, 100 drivers 100 free trucks later on
I was like "wtf" when I was there was opening for 2000 folks!!.... 100 is more realistic but in the advert kini, it was 2000 that was stated!
Politics › Re: PhD, MBA Holders Apply As Truck Drivers At Dangote Group by playahP(m): 9:55pm On Nov 03, 2012
Seems like I'm the only only one that noticed it is no longer "2000 drivers" that are needed.... Its now "100 drivers".... Haba... That's a difference of 1900.... Why did they annouce 2000 drivers wanted if they only gonna take 100huh?
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Tips For Personal Assistant Interview?? by playahP(m): 2:27pm On Nov 03, 2012
What is the work of a personal assistanthuh

What do you think you can assist in??

If you are asked to perform a role outside stipulated company policy for the sake of the MD, woud you do that??

Be ready to get grilled cos if I wanted a personal assistant, I would want someone that can work under pressure; some one that would take most of the pressure off me leaving me with only important decisions to worry about!!
Family › Re: Is Low Self Esteem A Result Of Parental Upbringing Or Personality? by playahP(m): 11:17pm On Nov 02, 2012
k2039: To me it's the individual.

Frankly parents could add to it,by telling their kids you are not good enough, you are not this, you are not that(not just parent alone but every negative statement we have heard, our failures, rejection etc).
The point is jut that, once one start to beleieve this comments then one's self esteem is in trouble.

I think He was Ghandi who said this 'they cant take away our self respect except we give it to them'

The reason why I think it has a lot to do with personality is because for the fact that someone said you are stupid doesnt necessarily mean you are,it's his opinion and he is entitled to it.

So every thing then boils down to this, believing in oneself, liking oneself.

For example personaly I dont have a problem with my self esteem(some say I'm arrogant, just because I dont give a damn about what they say, some find it hard to believe in theirself, and for believing so much im myself they label me names, mtcheww),I understand I may not be able to influence what others say about me,but I have the ability to choose the way I respond to them.
I understand we all see the world the way we are and not necessarily the way it is(reality),so everyone is entitled to his/her opinion.

Whatever anyone says is just an expression of their own opinion.

So OP IT'S more of a personality thing(understanding that I have a control over my mood and how I feel),frankly parents and peer may shape it,it still boils down to taking full responsibility for ones life(even if your parents say you are good enough,if you still dont believe it your self esteem is in trouble and finaly if you base your self esteem on what people say, your esteem is still in trouble because as much as positive comments affect you so will their negative comments also affect you).

Individualy we are all unique,we are special
You are very very very wrong my friend....
You said u have good esteem right? How was ur childhood??

Education › Re: 53% Foreign-schooled Doctors Fail Induction Tests by playahP(m): 9:44am On Nov 02, 2012
solomon111: Cool down,lady.
You are taking this too personal,or maybe it is personal.
It is a known fact that doctors trained in Nigeria are somehow better than those in the host country.
A friend of my cousin that just graduated from UNIBEN has been snapped up by W.H.O,and from the report i got,he was the best in the test that was set for them.
He outscored students from the US,UK,Germany,Canada,e.t.c.
Besides those rankings are not necesarily based on the quality of education in those universities.
I am quite sure that a good number of the universities those doctors that failed the induction exams went to,are ranked higher than Nigeria.
So i would take those rankings with a heavy dosage of salt.
Atleast 53% of them passed!
How many nigerian doctors that went abroad ever passed their integration exam??...hohohohhahahaha!
I don't have faith in our doctors at all... Had a really terrible experience!

djustice: They didn't know that before they subjected Nigerians to over 40 years of darkness and hellish existence by receiving bribes from diesel and generator importershuh God punish all of them. Let me get my hands on the ones in my area. All of you NEPA staff on Nairaland will hear something soon. Yeye crooks. Nnaji has gone now. Can we all see PHCN staff for the crooks they are? Did Nnaji perform magic to improve the system? No! He simply used the army to keep them out. Now they're back, the system has gone down the pan again.

LYNCH THEM, I SAY!!!
Name any generator importer that gives bribe to phcn in orDer for them to halt the power supply.... If u give me one, then before God and man, I solemnly swear to give u 20k.
U must have some form of evidence!
Even if phcn collects bribe, do u think that its these folks that get the generator import money!!.....
The deal is on!!

These phcn staffs have families to take care of.. They have obligations and responsibility to meet!! Though I'm enjoying steady power supply currently, I would support anything they do in order to get their pay from the blood sucking government.. Let's not forget what they did to Nitel or NRC because they didn't stamp their food down....its high time we also support these pple cos they r the pple that do the major jobs and risks... The top guns don't care about gratuity cos they have messed up phcn... (Ask liyel imoke ... He was the former GM of Phcn)

Where are all your family members?
Do you stay with them?
How long have you stayed there?
What is ur source of income over there?
Do you have anyother source of income?.... Relocating isn't as easy as you think...

This is a man that has stayed in bauchi for donkey years, his wife and kids stay in bauchi.... I assume he doesn't have anyother means of sustaining his large family.... Lemme ask you a question, if they had come back to anambara state will you feed themhuh
I dislike insensitive talks like this cos the way you talk, I'm sure you still get allowee from your parents so you don't know how difficult it is relocating from a place where you had a life to a place where you will end up eating from hand to mouth!!... It does not end there..... What about friends and associates??
What about house?? Will you sleep on the streets?
Will you pack your large family to a friend's house and discomfort your friendhuh

Zutchy: The most annoying part of this whole saga is the fact that some gullible Nigerians out there and on this nairaland will still open their mouths and say the govt should give in to the demands of this crooks, now let me educate you,OBJ poured in close to 15bUSD into the power sector, while I can say that out of that amount probably half went into his own personal pocket, the rest went into the power sector and it absorbed the money and yet nothing happened,Yar'adua came and declared emergency in that sector and had poured in close to 10bUSD before he died,it absorbed that also and yet still nothing.NOW I THROW A CHALLENGE TO EVERYONE,NO MATTER THE VILLAGE YOU ARE IN,NO MATTER HOW LOCAL,FIND OUT WHO IS THE RESIDENT PHCN MANAGER THERE,GO AND INVESTIGATE HIM AND COME BACK AND TELL US HOW MANY SIDE BUSINESSESS YOU FOUND OUT HE/SHE OWNS.NOW THIS IS THE GRASSROOTS I AM TALKING ABOUT,NOT TO NOW MENTION THE HENCHMEN IN ABUJA AND LAGOS.Do you not know that these so called civil servants in PHCN have been willfully enriching themselves at our expense,at all levels oh,totally unrestricted.WALLAHI if Nigeria was not the corrupt country that it is Govt should not be negotiating with these criminals but rather be prosecuting them in a criminal court of Law.
Do you think its the phcn worker that get 80k a month that embezzled the money??
Obj poured in billions; did he see to its implementation??
What did the minister of power do??

Phcn is the one we hate but truth be told, they are as helpless as we are!!

Phcn staffs need our support... They are like you and I... The pple dat shld be dealt with are the contractors and previous minister of power (liyel imoke) who was a former GM in phcn....
