My point is this Protest is for Ndi Ehugbo. When other LG in Ebonyi protest their predicament, we will discuss their case separately.

Education / Re: UNILAG Disowns Lecturer Who Raped Admission Seeker - PUNCH by plendil: 8:03am On Aug 10, 2015
IdiAmin1:
Honestly, I won't believe this rape case until proven in a court of law.

NAIJA girls are "deadlier" than snakes even a 16yrs old.

I have a close friend who was once set up for rape by a girl after they had a good session in bed.

I was surprised to hear that because as mischievous undergraduates, we gave ourselves view of such actions of which the guy did. We watched the whole action from the first minute to the end but if you see the way that girl was telling the story and crying, one would easily believe her. Some girls are evil so guys beware. angry

While I have minor issues with the generalization of 'naija girls deadlier than snake', I can appreciate where your coming from.

I passed through Uniben and know the funny things I was there: e.g some female classmate visiting male lectures at their homes, etc. During my time at Ambrose Alli university, a lecturer in physics was alleged to have raped a student. OF course he claimed it was consensual.

By no means am I disputing such randy old useless lecturers; my point, esp in federal universities, as someone stated, is that they choose their victims carefully. Hard working, diligent, conscientious - and yes, well dressed - females rarely fall prey.

However, its important to note the lady in this case was still seeking admission and supposedly under his care. That looks pretty bad. Furthermore the speed with which Unilag has distanced themselves from suggests they are probably aware of the man's escapades and perhaps have been warned b4.

Romance / Re: My Opinion: We Ladies Should Stop Visiting Guys. RAPE Is Real!!! by plendil: 12:00am On Aug 09, 2015
For OP, whatever her intention, to claim rappe is something any guy could do given the circumstances, is no less preposterous than saying all females are whorres given the opportunity.

OP needs to check the guys she hangs out with

The mere thought of forcing myself on a lady makes my stomach heave. Its unpardonably and unspeakably evil. Its a crime against humanity.

I must also confess I'm disturbed by comments from guys here seeking to justify the act as being the result of the girl 'dressing scantily', being seductive, etc, etc. Most unfortunate. sad

FannySwindler:
Whether the person is telling the truth or not.... Doesn't count. The fact is the person needs it and needs to get as much as possible they can get.

Just like everyone here . No one gets money from a source and tells himself or herself.. That's enough, I don't need more money.

Just like you and I want more...they also want more.

Begging is not a Scam.

The fact that some may not be saying the truth doesn't make it a Scam. And if you still think not saying truth is a scam ..then probably every one here is a Scammer.
Cos am certain, we all tell Lies. Some even worse that those we all claim to hear at the ATM.

Give if you want to Give....Don't Talk

I dont totally agree here. Like I said in a previous post, I have been stranded at the park, and had to resort to soliciting for financial assistance from fellow passengers. It was the most difficult and degrading moment of my life. embarassed embarassed (Honestly those professional beggars they try o. . .)

So yes, begging itself may not be a scam, but obtaining money through false pretences (I'm a pastor and atm jammed, I'm an orphan, sister is sick, etc) definitely is. Perhaps a more benign form of scamming.

By the time I came out of the atm room, my colleagues already took pity and gave him some money. As soon as we didn't see the atm card we knew we have been duped.

This happened in conakry Guinea.

But make una de help people, I was once stranded @ awka in anambra state cus atm was saying switch inoperative. A good samiritan helped me and I was goin to enugu.

lol! You tend to see many of them at motor parks.

A thread like this divides those who went to school for certificate purposes and those who went to school and got imbibed with the ability to reason.
For people to believe this piece of "information" means human gullibility knows no bounds.

HIV and AIDS increases one's chances of contacting cancer; anyone who has seen a HIV victim can attest to this piece of knowledge. What that means is a lot of HIV-positive individuals're already on anti-cancer medication. Wow, how come all these people are already taking these drugs and yet haven't gotten miraculously cured? Because you cannot fight one illness using medication for another - its not even possible to use drugs meant for one illness to prevent a completely different one. If not why don't Nigerians shun malaria medication and instead use typhoid ones as alternatives?

It is because of this gullibility, I wouldn't call it gullibility any more, more like false hope for a cure that scammers can pass off plant fertilizer as a viable cure for an illness ravaging a whole nation. We still haven't learned from that shameful period or the salt bath hoax even medical "professionals" in this part of the world recommended.
You people should not let white people view this thread and the hope its created if not they'd conclude(and rightfully so) that we've still not yet evolved too far off from monkeys.

The blinding irony of it. You sought to highlight what you perceived as ignorance on the part of other posters, but only ended up exposing yours in such brilliant colours.

Let me just attempt some of them:

HIV and AIDS increases one's chances of contacting cancer;
True

What that means is a lot of HIV-positive individuals're already on anti-cancer medication.
False. Not many cancer patients are on anticancer drugs - manly due to the unpleasant side effects and the cost.

Wow, how come all these people are already taking these drugs and yet haven't gotten miraculously cured?
Firstly, there are over 10 different classes of anticancer drugs, and not all of them have demonstrated such antiviral activity. Secondly you're basing your claim on the assumption that all cancer patients are on anticancer drugs, this is certainly not true.

Because you cannot fight one illness using medication for another - its not even possible to use drugs meant for one illness to prevent a completely different one.
Totally FALSE!! lamivudine is effective against hepatitis and HIV; Amantadine is used in flu and parkinsons disease; acyclovir is useful in over a dozen viral infections and most Antibiotics generally are effective against many infections. . . I could go on and on.

Learn. . .

Thats the reality. Interestingly some prostitutes in Kenya have to been known to develop some form of immunity to HIV, which is not seen in the general population.
Romance / Re: 600 Men Slept With Me In One Year, Says 24-year-old Student by plendil: 1:30pm On Aug 02, 2015
Ifebazz:

Not sounding true at all. 600 a year is like 2 per day. Business can't be that lucrative, then there are those days women have their thing (circle). So that's like minus 3-4 days every month. So how many men slept with her for 20 days give or take a month.

Bros its no lie. 2 per day is just an average. I work with an NGO that deals with her kind, and I know of some of them who can service as much as 8 different men (no exaggeration!) a day. Of course some days they dont see any customer. But by the time the encounters averages out, it comes to about 2/day.
