One thing I've come to realize is that, people would pick big big names based in what they are exposed to. There's never any need to be scared because if some names you read, you just start from somewhere first, and before you know it, you are on top of your stacks.
Getting confused with DevOps and Web Dev terminologies can be very easy if you don't know what you are doing.
But then again, this thread is for Backend Devs, getting confused as a beginner is allowed, just don't get discouraged.
For me, as someone rightly said, since there won't be any expected mobile apps or other platforms expected other than web, Django + Aurora postgres (multi az replicas enabled) will handle both Backend and front end for me.
I know decoupling is a thing, API first approach and all, but this is just a web forum, nothing special I guess.
Handle loads with AWS elastic load balancer, and cached the frontpage with redis elasticache.
Serve the app using auto scaling groups, that launches and terminates based on request loads.
But then again, there's never a one size fits all approach to scaling an app. Ones approach ends with ones level of experience I guess....others approach would be better of course.
While it seems HTML and java have no relationship...who knows,OP may be interested in learning web component development using java technologies. At least I have a certificate in that aspect of things when it was under sun Microsystems...which is now owned by Oracle.
As for OP, your best bet would be to learn, firstly, by yourself. This is hoping that you were stuck at the start up phase. If you got stuck in the meat of it, my brother, you are just about to turn a wonderful corner.
Sometimes,I think programmers are not paid for the codes they write, but rather for the ones they debug. And most people lose interest when they can't seems to understand why their code isn't working.
To get over this phase, you must have the burning desire of a reader. Most problems you'll face starting up has already been solved on sites like stackoverflow and quora. So take your time to find issues in your code by reading up online documents and solutions to previous problems.
Still... Does it have to get to this? Ain't there other ways of punishing unerring youths than carrying live ammunition to a heated protest. I still believe the government could have done better.
nairavsdollars: Why has nobody with a clear conscience and fear of God resigned from Buhari's government like we see with Donald Trump of the United States
Because everyone of them is busy securing the bag... for 4/8 years. Our political positions comes with so much benefits, that fortunate partakers now only care about getting their, rather than discharging their duties.
I'll continue to say, until our benefits attached to government positions in this country is drastically subsidized, the problems we face will persist.
Cut down on those benefits and our problems half solved. Cos really how does someone who earns over 25m per month, be concerned about the price of rice going to 25k/bag, which most families monthly take home can't buy... They won't be bothered.
Finally, the fowl has come home to roost. This is a result of years of total negligence on the part of government to ameliorate the standards of living of the masses. When wealth is centered at the top, this is bound to happen at some point.
